  • why has this ride been shut down ?

  • they closed this. shame, it may be small but one of my favourites :(

  • @AlexandraFergy1998 there reopening it

  • This ride's not working at the moment, they're doing maintenance on it ready for 2011.

  • the name of this ride was creative

  • @chroylikesfish in 2011 it will be named nickelodeon streak for nickelodeon land coming on april 2011

  • take it they couldnt come up with a better name?

  • I like this roller coaster it's fun but it's not scary.

  • I love this ride XD i would go on it over and over again xx which is good bcause iv never liked rides but recently i went on this and the grand national :) and i liked them both! x

  • this is the fits roller coaster I was ever on back when I was 12 years old.

It's very very tame, total noobie coaster, but great for beginners and cowards.

  • This was closed when I went, what's it like compared to big dipper and grand national?

  • @zena290609 Its more gentle compared to Big Dipper. Grand National is pretty much the same :) Its still good fun. I recommend it

  • @MelanieBubblez1

thanks 4 replying. i went on with my friend. i enjoyed it and we went on lots throughout the day as it was a great time filler with a short queue.

  • @zena290609 I agree!

  • This looks lyke the American Eagle

  • I love this ride its not an intense inverted coaster or a Intamin launcher but its still great fun, I just enjoy every part of this ride especially when its been raining. I have been on many rides over the past 15 years but this is still one of the most fun rides I have been on. Its amazing to think that the lift hill was first built in 1909 as part of the Velvet coaster before being rebuilt in 1933 to its current state.

  • i think blackpool is ready for a new coster

  • it just had 1 last year

  • it is called spaceinvader 2 it caught on fire!!

  • i think there gonna get rid of this its not on the new park map and its not on the website i would say goodbye all signs ponit to it going

  • The Rollercoaster isn't allowed to be taken down. Its a listed building.

  • Well it was open two weeks ago when I went. I think the Big Dipper crashing made them reconsider closing this, otherwise only Wild Mouse and Grand National would be left for a park whose biggest advantage over its competitiors is the historical rides it operates.

  • It's open sometimes and sometimes not!

  • Loved Bling!

  • a gd ride if ur new 2 rollercoasters. i felt like an idiot coz im 18 with a bunch of 12 yr olds on this

  • this was closed when i went :/

  • Same here, so was Noah's Ark and the Gold Mine. I was told that Noah's Ark and the Gold Mine were down for maintenance but the Rollercoaster was not going to open again :(

  • it sounds like the grudge

  • i love the plesure beach

  • it is ace its an old classic i went on it yesterday and the seats are well cumfy and it is not too rickity and i cant bilive it was built in 1912!!!!!!!

  • Is this the ride w/ no restraints whatsoever? If so, that would explain why it's not intense.

Also, I think it would help Blackpool if they got a truly modern coaster, maybe an Intamin Accelerator or a B&M looper (or better yet, an Intamin Megacoaster to replace the Big One).

  • Ahhh too many parks have Intamin or B&M coasters. Blackpool should just stay as it is. It has a cool "classic" feel and parks lose that when they get high tech coasters.

  • The problem is that thrill seekers like me choose to go to places like Thorpe park & Alton Towers.

  • Yeah AT has lots of new, intense rides. Haven't seen a new video of TP in a while, so I don't know what theyve built recently

  • Stealth, Nemesis Inferno, Saw, Colossus

  • Oh yeah now I remeber I've seen videos of those rides

  • Hmmm - I can't see how anyone can see Blackpool as tame.

I went on Infusion, a good ride but way too smooth.

You want a ride that feels like it's out of control - I got that off Pepsi Max, Big Dipper, Grand National and DEFINITELY Wild Mouse (that ride genuinely is out of control!)

You want a ride where you come off with a few bruises to sell the illusion of risk.

Being in a tight space, Blackpool has better views and more character than AT or TP.

  • You can't say "too smooth" about an SLC, just be glad it's not painful.

I HATE painful rides, they're on the bottom of my list.

Do you have any Intamin or B&M credits? Intamin airtime is twice as intense as ANY classic woodie in my experience.

  • you suck, all these rides here are ancient.

  • yes its the ancient rides that are the best

  • cont believe this was built in 1912, quite a good ride and the fact that it has named the ride because of its greatness

  • bbbboooooorrrrrrriiiinnnnnnnngggggg the pepsi max is much better i rode it like 6 times

  • I live in Blackpool so I'm used to it so your probably thinking that I'm getting sick of it. Well, I'm not! It's such a good ride, no one should ever get sick of this "classic."

  • Lovely family roller coaster, ride seems just too short, so I ride again & again. (46 inch height restriction)

  • rollercoasters rock

  • yerr its nice nd cosey aswell

  • comfy cosy!!

  • I love 'Roller Coaster' because its got very comfy cushioned cars, and the dips are lovely and smoothe, no nasty airtime.
