I'm commenting as I watch so... Soke-a? back tracking: the symbols when it says The Last Airbender are not the ones from the tv show. I looked it up, Aang is 12. And Rathbone does NOT look great in his costume because water tribe outfits are blue (purple for princess Yue). Not once were they ever brown. This is all wrong.

I love how she wears a twilight shirt to make the twilight-tards feel at home. Only the special effects in this movie were good, the 3d sucked, and as for twilight they need to act and get into it for me to be interested cuz the way twilight is going just isn't cutting it.
Everyone needs to chill. It's not going to be the same, obviously. There are different eyes and a different mind behind the movie than the originial creators. Of course there are going to be some differences. And as far as Suki goes, Book 1 was several episodes long, they couldn't fit every concept from one book into the whole movie, and the director knew that.Originally he shot them into the movie, but for the sake of time, cut their scene. Give it a chance as a movie, not a remake.

@xMari95x Thank you! if you watch the show, it doesn't take longer than 2 seconds to "bend" an element, and that's for more difficult bending. The simple stuff are supposed to be quick easy movements, like a jab or a kick.
Well Ive seen every episode of avatar and honestly M.Night fucked it up!!! Either he doesnt know what exactly the show is about or just didnt grab the consept of the show. Besides Princess Yue and Sokka, the casting was done very poorly. I think that Jackson Rathbone was amazing in the Twilight saga and he'll be just as great in this movie. What can I say Im a Rathbone fan :)

And the casting did suck...I would have preferred Jackson to be Zuko, that girl who plays Katara could have been Azula, and Dev Patel(Zuko) could have been Sokka.

I don't really like the girl playing Katarra, but Jackson I think would be perfect. @sexybunnyxox they're pronouncing Sokka's name differently in the film. The pronounciation Soh-ka is the Eastern way of saying it. Aang's name is also changed with its usual Eastern accent added. Funny thing is, Noah Ringer is half-Korean. There are some videos of the kid and he definitely has Asian heritage. He's a cutie, actually. I only hope they bring that out in the film...

This casting selection is an example of how rasist hollywood is, ATLA series has shown to be greatly multiculturely diverse and greatly invested in Asian culture from martial art, customs, cooking and art styles. But I have yet to hear of any Asian Americans been casted in this movie. Me being African-Amercian normally wouldn't let this type of raisism bother me, but this really upsets me. I hope that people who go to this movie understand that this type of baised behavior is not acceptable.

okay 1. learn how to say the names lady. 2. aang is 12 (112 if you want to get technical)not 10. 3.zukko looks nothing like that.4. aang is more serious then that kid and needs a higher voice. god they have a lot of work to do if they think this movie is going to be anything like the series im a big fan but im not sure im going to see the movie.

Seriously, i'll go see it. But the casting choice bothers me. Aang should have a more girlish voice and Zuko needs to be....paler... the scar needs to be brought out more. And the clothes are all different. Im a HUGE fan of avatar and this just...i dont know, bothers me.

@sexybunnyxox they're pronouncing Sokka's name differently in the film. The pronounciation Soh-ka is the Eastern way of saying it. Aang's name is also changed with its usual Eastern accent added. Funny thing is, Noah Ringer is half-Korean. There are some videos of the kid and he definitely has Asian heritage. He's a cutie, actually. I only hope they bring that out in the film...

@sexybunnyxox yeah I heard there won't be a lot of manga-style humor...which I can understand for a film. There's probably going to be some humor, though. I saw some clips on tv and Sokka was doing a little whoop-di-do thing at the end so I'm sure there will be something there. Zuko does have a scar...it's just impossible to see lol. It took me three months to finally realize that there's some misshaped tissue on his face.
Yeah, I'm not going to judge this film until I see it. I'm excited :)

Wow, way to do your research, ClevverTV. First off, she doesn't mention the TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender at all, just calling it 'the original.' Then, the Air Nomads can't be enslaved because they've all died out, and Aang doesn't really put all of his 'childish ways' aside. Aang is 12, and Sokka is pronounced Sock-uh, not Soak-uh. They don't sound excited that an awesome show is being made into a movie, just that an actor who only says 3 lines in Twilight is playing Sokka.

Doesn't look enough like them? Dev Patel doesn't even look a little like Zuko. Still, speaking as a huge fan of Avatar, it looks from the trailer like he can pull it off in his own way. And I love the choice of Jackson as Sokka, they couldn't have gotten anyone better.

I'm kinda annoyed 'bout Sokka's casting. Jackson trying to be "Boomerang" Sokka; it'll be hard. And Zuko... HELL NO!!!!!!!um, i still want to go though, It's sounds good enough. plus i've been hoping this movie would happen since the show came out.

This casting selection is an example of how rasist hollywood is, ATLA series has shown to be greatly multiculturely diverse and greatly invested in Asian culture from martial art, customs, cooking and art styles. But I have yet to hear of any Asian Americans been casted in this movie. Me being African-Amercian normally wouldn't let this type of raisism bother me, but this really upsets me. I hope that people who go to this movie understand that this type of baised behavior is not acceptable.

Dear lord, did she just pronounce Sokka's name Soh-kuh, say that Aang was 10, say that the Fire Nation was trying to enslave the Air 'Nation', which has definitely already fallen? Not to mention that it's the Air Temples, Water Tribes, and Earth Kingdom, not nations. Can she not even use their proper titles?
