I knew this was going to happen to Mel ever since he made that passion of the christ film, he upset a few people on top with that, he was a very popular actor at the time, they were waiting for him to slip up, so that they could bag his career
Mel's a great entertainer, that has made a lot of great films over the years, but his image is permanently tarnished by a few drunken episodes... it's a real shame

I agree, he is fantastically funny, and EVERYONE has their bad moments... unfortunately, actors rarely have private ones like the rest of us. His good moments far outweigh the dumb ones... he is great, and will always be someone on film or television who is especially funny.

Mel Gibson has given me great entertainment while the Russian tart has not. It's easy to provoke a 'recovering' alcoholic. I don't like 'rap' music but can't help hearing it sometimes and the black musicians seem to be pretty demeaning towards their women.
I view actors/films/entertainment for the quality of the part/story and not the real life person/story.
