  • I heard her in the basement of George Cabaniss ... he played for Hammer Damage band in Silver Lake, Ohio, Hammer damage was trying out for her band. George also toured with the dead boy's. Rachel had a killer voice and George played a mean guitar who knows what would have happen if she would have choose Hammer Damage. i loved her version of Elvis Costello's Allison. She had a power voice for a little girl!

  • This is fab!

  • Must have been her choice of material that just didn't catch on back then. There were a lot of girl singers back then as I recall.

  • Little Jewish girl from Ohio. Loved her album FOOL AROUND!

  • @louisvillelamb ... Me too ... Fool Around was such an unusuallly distinctive sounding album, and one of my most played and favourite albums ever. Wayne

  • She reminded me of our generation's version of Brenda Lee. Hugely talented, big-voiced singer in a child-like body. The difference is Sweet somehow never managed the mega success she was destined for and capable of.

  • Wish American Idol was around in the late 70's, She would put every one of the winners to SHAME !

  • 1978? I never heard of her. Why is that, I wonder?

  • GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES

  • I saw her on this tour, playing at The Nashville Rooms in West London..brilliant - but incredibly short!!

  • Is The Nashville Rooms still standing, btw?

I read about this venue many times back in the day and features a lot in the London punk story.

  • Really good to see this! Thanks a lot for sharing it!
