  • I like to see more people breaking the "tradition" of music like kraftwerk.

It's not all pianos. electric guitars, and reading music. It's a talent of expressing and evoking emotion through sound. It is the very reason why we play it and listen to it.

You don't need to learn how to play a specific instrument as much as you need to understand and learn just what music is. ;]

  • Vasta came 2006 not 2007.

  • Great video, I like the last part when we see the quick upgrade of the techonologies and in the same time the music is getting quicker and quicker !

  • I think vista should'nt be on.

  • Another one to go in this video is the Antikythera Machine. The first known computer which from about 200BC.

You can find the video on Youtube with "Computer Over 2000 Years Old".

    Totally mind boggling...

Also, Clive Sinclair's holding up the QL rather than the 128.

You got my favourite Sinclair computers in there and you chose one of the best synth songs ever so I'm happy. :)

  • great video - touching...

  • cool

  • Immer wieder schön...

  • Thank you for the great video video! After a lot of effort, I've managed to get my admission on prestigious university in my country to study exactly this fantastic world of electronics and computing. Video means a lot me! Thank you!

  • I really do love this video, would like to shake the hand of the person who made it.

  • Z3 from Konrad Zuse (Gemany) was the first functionable programmable Computer on the world. It was a complete Turing Machine. You should add this information, to complete your Video.

And the vid is also educational, but for non-english readers mayby a little bit to fast (I had to stop the video to read all the text a several times)?

  • this is still a top class edjucatiomal vid - should b3 standard viewing for teh youths of today...

  • What a brilliant song this is! As a little kid I used to listen to my dads LPs of Kraftwerk, and now it's still as good as it was back then! :-)

  • hahaha what a loser

  • süper *****************

  • What an amazing video! And this song is timeless, i loved it since it was published.

Kraftwerk were the main reason why i started playing keyboard and wanted to become an administrator. Nearly 30 years ago.. :)

to one timeless track or should i say track from the past becoming reality?

  • Amazing vid!! 10/10!! This vid is as awesome as the entire amazing history from chip to pc!!

    Great song too!

  • nice video...

  • Great video. You got all the British home computers in there, too.

Computer Love is one of the best synthesizer tracks ever.

  • that´s not enough .. tattoo it to their forehead :D

  • fuck coldplay

bet they never admitted to have stolen the melody

  • Actually, yes they have.

  • well, they actually did :P

    [admit heißt übrigens zulassen]

  • Coldplay asked permission from Kraftwerk, to be fair.

  • @capricious71 yep they did ... and still fuckin kraftwerk vs coldplay fights - just to ignorant because theyre too proud to say - yes i was wrong

  • top video for a top tune - excellent work 9/10 frannmmy....although you missed out the BBC micro and Atari but got all the Sinclairs?

  • He got all the Sinclairs - and quite rightly. :)

  • My god, this video is amazing! :)

  • ich liebe das!

  • idiot coldplay imitator musik kraftwerk of 2007.talk

  • amazing song, amazing vid

  • Ganz Deiner Meinung, Gu1II3!

  • 1 tone = 5 Mb!!!

  • azi con la wea :zippy

  • Man....this gives me a real good thinking moment...this is awesome! i love it! i remember when i had the wondows ninety eight in one of the rooms at home. i never had a modern computer since 2009:O i had to use that 98 just until i got my own laptop in April:O. and when i got that laptop i had tears of joy in my eyes:')

    congratulations prophets !!

  • now i hear it, coldplay, filthy rippers !

  • c'mon at least they asked nicely for it;-)

  • true.

  • computer liebe 1981 - the best version - no bullshit remix -those were the days when we all loved our computers - before M$ windows came along and turned all computers into prostitutes or somesuch.

  • That's it, I totally agree. I like this Remix, the other one is just crap.

  • Quit bitching and try Linux. I made the switch five years ago. The biggest downside? I'm spoiled and hate it when I have to use Windows computers. Find a friend who knows it, and make the jump. You'll be glad you did.

  • Brattwurst!

I had a bbc micro model A and later a model b a massive 32k memory . ps the song is from the album computer welt, computer world in english.

  • wow, amazing video. congratulations. i've recently started to listen to Kraftwerk, and must say, i'm loving it!!

  • My first computer was a Commodore C64 brown in the eighties. It is incredible to see how important computers are today, for example, to find love on the net. Thank you all for your comments.

  • Update to my post: That Video is amazing! A great footage to superb music. I love your video! Thank you so much!!

  • I really enjoyed this video and for some reason it made the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. Good stuff.

  • Did you hear "Talk" from Coldplay? It´s a leagle cover from this Amazing Song.

  • Yes, Chris Martin sent a begging letter asking to use the tune.

  • Kraftwerk are simply awesome.

And it's amazing how fast technology has advanced in the last 40 years or so.

  • This is the best music ever written!

  • Thanks!

  • excellent video. very well done and very well researched.

    top marks

  • This video has blown my mind.

    And the lyrics are prophetic.

  • Thank you very much!

    ger0202

  • 'Nice footage'!!!

Still got my vinyl copy of Computer World...

  • Nice video. Fantastic visual material. Superfantastic music. Masterpiece!

    Congratulations indeed!

  • Thank you very much! With Kraftwerk music is very easy to make a good video, isn´t it?

  • very true.

    Kraftwerk truly are amazing.

they were so ahead of there time.

and there still influencing music 25+ years later

    amazing musucians

  • Thanks for such exciting video! It was very interesting to saw all kinds of computer engines since the beginning of the Age.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Thank you very much for uploading this romantic masterpiece of electronic music. To say it again: Kraftwerk wrote this song in 1981. When was YOUR first attempt to find Love / Sex / Friends with the help of a computer? By the way: "Bildschirmtext" or BTX was the german "pre-Internet" version of a commercial computer network. Slightly comparable to Trintex in the US, Minitel in France, Prestel in GB and Videotex in Switzerland.

  • Thank you for your comment. This video was made for all technology and Kraftwerk fans. I'm very happy if you enjoyed it.
