I like to see more people breaking the "tradition" of music like kraftwerk.
It's not all pianos. electric guitars, and reading music. It's a talent of expressing and evoking emotion through sound. It is the very reason why we play it and listen to it.
You don't need to learn how to play a specific instrument as much as you need to understand and learn just what music is. ;]
Thank you for the great video video! After a lot of effort, I've managed to get my admission on prestigious university in my country to study exactly this fantastic world of electronics and computing. Video means a lot me! Thank you!
Z3 from Konrad Zuse (Gemany) was the first functionable programmable Computer on the world. It was a complete Turing Machine. You should add this information, to complete your Video.
great stuff, the machines are maybe shown a little too closeup first. funny how forgotten geek memories come back when you see all the machines one after another chronologically.
And the vid is also educational, but for non-english readers mayby a little bit to fast (I had to stop the video to read all the text a several times)?

computer liebe 1981 - the best version - no bullshit remix -those were the days when we all loved our computers - before M$ windows came along and turned all computers into prostitutes or somesuch.
Quit bitching and try Linux. I made the switch five years ago. The biggest downside? I'm spoiled and hate it when I have to use Windows computers. Find a friend who knows it, and make the jump. You'll be glad you did.
Kraftwerk the electro gods , brilliant. Sounds so much better in german. Great video very informative. I am old enough to remember using the zx80, zx81, the spectrum, dragon32 was rubbish. I had a bbc micro model A and later a model b a massive 32k memory . ps the song is from the album computer welt, computer world in english.
Great Video! Thank you for that and thanks to Kraftwerk I love the guys!

Thank you very much for uploading this romantic masterpiece of electronic music. To say it again: Kraftwerk wrote this song in 1981. When was YOUR first attempt to find Love / Sex / Friends with the help of a computer? By the way: "Bildschirmtext" or BTX was the german "pre-Internet" version of a commercial computer network. Slightly comparable to Trintex in the US, Minitel in France, Prestel in GB and Videotex in Switzerland.

Another one to go in this video is the Antikythera Machine. The first known computer which from about 200BC.
You can find the video on Youtube with "Computer Over 2000 Years Old".
Totally mind boggling...
Also, Clive Sinclair's holding up the QL rather than the 128.
You got my favourite Sinclair computers in there and you chose one of the best synth songs ever so I'm happy. :)
