These are the type of bands that do change lives, they talk about the most brutal darkest times, something a church doesnt do. Christian rock and metal is no different than Christian rap, pop, and hip hop. Its just another style of music that spreads God's word other than traditional hymns.

One of the kids wanted prayer and was afraid for his soul. God is not asking us to turn his word into a reflection of the world. Do a word study on 'religion' in scripture and look up 'religion' in the dictionary. I understand that religion has a negative connotation in this culture because of all the vain and false religions out there and I understand that its an attempt to remove ourselves from that and get past preconceived notions. But just avoid it. It contradicts scripture.
