  • he sounds like a farmer! lol

  • If people used lead clips properly we wouldnt need to worry as the lead would come off easily, i use helicopter rigs as i find that they work well on all types of bottom and are especially good in deep silt if you push the bead well up the leadcore, chilly obviously knows what hes doing but i cant see how a lead clip rig would present itself well in a silty lake, if that lead sinks at all into silt surely the rig would the be sticking up out of the silt with a big bow of exposed hooklink?

  • Like Chilly, but don't like leadcore and leadclip set ups I'm afraid. Nothing wrong with leadcore if used heli style with the top bead set loose. In the event of a line break and the lead or leadcore getting snagged the rig will pull off no probs and only leave the carp with the rig to shed. On this setup, the carp in a similar situation has to first shed the lead and will then be towing a length of leadcore around, which further increases the chance getting snagged again. Sorry Chilly!

  • i like chilly, very honest down to earth angler! ...but... leadcore direct to the hooklength? hmmm :(
