  • Where did they get those hip and happening young people? Is there stock footage of hip and happeningness to use in these situations?

  • The funny thing is that Sam Graves couldn't bring himself to show anything homosexual in this ad.

  • jesus h. christ, intoxicated people who might make whoopi later on. oh the humanity! heavens no!

this video is proof the space between sf and nyc is worthless.

  • Lol my name is sam graves

  • I think I want to be a gay Mexican abortioner now...

  • Comment removed

  • haha my name is sam graves

  • I kinda wanna go to this party. It looks like fun

  • I can't stop playing this. It's kind of catchy. Why wasn't I at the party????

  • I can't stop dancing and grinding to this political ad.

  • LMAO.

  • Can y'all bring some of those "west coast liberals" to Arkansas? We could use them! Some from Massachusetts and New York will work too.

  • So was this supposed to motivate me to support Kay Barnes? Because this smiling Sam Graves guy at the end approved the message about Kay Barnes supporting things that I support while showing some young people having fun.

  • ha totally...and the music is kick ass too...

no joke....I called his office when this first came out telling them how much i liked the ad...

they listened to me go on and on cuz they thought i was a supporter...

i kept asking where i could find the music...

they finally caught on to the fact that i liked the ad not for their reasons...but because I, like you, actually support things like having fun and dancing...

  • Sam Graves is evil and it is beyond me how my home state elected this idiot... again.

  • hahahha what?????

  • Does anyone think that those dancing "actors" knew what they were dancing for? Or is a paycheck just a paycheck? That ad was totally comical--stupid and bigoted, but comical.

  • why promote "Values"?

let people live how they want to live peacefully

this ad = fail and some more

  • Dallas is not redneck, but it is not even close to being a gay mecca. Dallas is a fairly liberal city with a Republican mayor. Explain to me how the gay Democrat candidate lost the election and lost the black vote to the Republican guy if it such a gay mecca?

  • C'mon, why should I NOT think of the MO 6th as filled with a bunch of ignorant old rural homophobic white people if this sh*tty ad helps a candidate get elected? Who else would be convinced by such a low-rent cheesy-ass commercial? Dammit MO 6th, you should have been on the Internet mocking this ad with the rest of the world, not falling for it. *facepalm*

  • Because the Missouri 6th is a diverse district. It is composed of suburban and rural areas with strong conservative social and fiscal tendencies.

  • Um, some of us did mock this ad. But your point is correct.

  • is this for real?

  • Yes. Everyone hates San Francisco, Massachusetts, and Vermont values.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not lying, everything i said is true. Before Bush stole the White House,he met with only one gay group, and that was the log-cabin republicans in Dallas Tx.The most gay area of America is in Dallas,a place called Oak Lawn, and the area code is 75219.

  • Atlanta has the highest percentage of same-sex couples. 2nd is San Francisco. Dallas may have many homosexuals, but not as many as other cities. Plus I don't know why that even matters.

  • Abortion is murder. Anytime you stop the heartbeat, growth, and bodily functions of an INNONCENT defenseless human baby in the womb it is plain andsimple MURDER!

  • Sam Graves is a Nazi and an embarrassment to the State of Missouri. My nation of Missouri has been invaded by fascists who do not believe in the Constitution of the United States of America....please sent military help to rescue our citizenry.

  • It just never ends, there are more gay republicans, within 30 miles of right-wing downtown Dallas, than there are gay liberals, within 30 miles of downtown San Francisco.

  • total lie

  • Did that idiot actually win? Fuck some of your people are stupid.

  • by 20% points

  • It's more that a Dem is never going to win here more than Sam Graves or the ad. The only way a Democrat would get elected around here was if they found the Repub candidate in a compromising position with a gay black prostitute, and that's a maybe.

  • WHAT THE FUUCK? hahah this is sooo ridiculous!

  • Is this ad supposed to make me vote AGAINST Kay Barnes? Because she sounds awesome.

  • What the hell?! This ad was supposed to be so lame and pathetic that it was going to LOSE Sam Graves the election. Now he's going to win? Oh, yeah, that's just perfect.

I'd hate to be brown-skinned with a "ferin" accent or a gay teenager in the Missouri 6th district, then, because it's obvious who's voting for Sam Graves and why.

  • Can you believe this douchebag is going to be re-elected?

  • That party looked like fun. Get me some San Francisco Values!

  • As awful as this commercial is I must admit the music is quite catchy. Where is it so I can download it?

  • I imagine I'm not the only one here who was persuaded to vote for Barnes by that ad.

  • does anyone know how to get this song as my ringtone?

  • San Francisco is obviously a foreign country, with their totally unorthodox values! It's like they're not even Americans!

Get lost Sam Graves, all you have left is your negative campaigning.

I'm not from this district but if I were living there I sure as heck would be voting for Kay Barnes, if only because Sam Graves is running the same despicable campaign that Karl Rove would promote.

  • I'm Sam Graves and I am an under handed douche bag who can't create ads that show how I can improve anything so I will say all Democrats are gay...What an ass.

  • OOOOOOH SHIT THAT IS MY JAAAAAAM! Bada Buda Bada Buuuuu! Woo Get me my cowboy hat and spandex it is time to rock the socks!

  • i need this song...any idea what it is

  • Whoa...

Okay. Put it this way. Had Mr. Graves NOT stuck himself at the end of the ad with nice music and a grin on his face, this ad would have looked less ridiculous.

Not to mention everything else wrong with the ad.

  • This is very accurate, I mean those gays do like cowboy hats don't they, pretending to be real Americans? And I won't even get into the extremely disgusting way they have intercourse! (only do a google image search for "gay sex" if you have a strong stomach!)

  • Fuck Sam Graves.

  • If thats what it takes to have a good time I need to get some san francisco values.

  • This makes me proud to be a Liberal. At least we have fun!

  • Race baiting, gay bashing, and devious sexual behavior all at once; what an efficient smear!

  • Can we let middle America secede from the union I mean really who needs them

  • I agree, I would take San Francisco ANY DAY over their Confederate-flag waving cross-burning "Mississippi Values".

  • Do you even KNOW what communism is? Most Americans don't know. Especially the ones who throw that term around, which surprise surprise are the CONs. You know reading books is a good thing...

  • I love this ad. It looks like those people are really enjoying their San Francisco values. Get down wit yo bad self.

  • San Francisco style values!

  • Sam Graves is an asshole for approving the ad...But this shit is funny!

  • I endorse your comment, that this shit is funny!

  • Ho. Ly. Shit. This ad is horrible lmao

  • Sam, you're a peach. Thanks for the laugh, dude.

  • The absurdity of ad is almost enough to make it funny...if it weren't serious.

"I'm Sam Graves, and I approved this message."

    Jesus.

  • is this a skit from mad tv?

  • Nobody dresses like that in San Francisco, and that girl on the right needs a hair salon badly. San Francisco values == better fashion sense and dancing than that!

  • okay .. first of all, these three adventurous souls were probably Sam Graves' interns. With kind and supportive remarks, maybe we can "turn them". BTW: This is how those from out of town dress when they **arrive** to San Francisco. As they become part of the "Community" they dress more (ahem) appropriately.

  • Why is there such disconnect with our political system? We are fed up with a 2 party system who keeps 3rd parties out office. We are Fed up with the legislators who pocket money and legislate against the people. The people will not be silent anymore. We are fed up with welfare, warfare and being forced to give over half of our paycheck for failing programs. The people are Fed up with politicians calling our Constitutional Republic a democracy. Dave Browning for Congress. Finally a real choice.

  • Excellent ad. San Fran values are not American values.

  • This ad is so absurd lol

  • Great GOP ad here. It makes you question the true values of the opponent. Is she truly like other Missourians, or is she like those typical San Fran West Coast Libs?

  • As a proud Missouri liberal... You might be an idiot. =]

  • When did Missouri become a part of the Deep South?

Seriously, the place is becoming as big of a redneck shithole as Alabama.

San Francisco values? It should HOPE for as much!

  • This is my favorite commercial ever, lol.

And no, this is NOT a joke. It's an actual ad - I live in Missouri, and it came on my television. It doesn't come on anymore, though. I can only imagine why. :P

    Kay Barnes, ftw.

  • I don't care what anyone says. This ad is subliminally using "interracial hate" to stir up emotions among rural voters. Truth be told they're not that stupid or ignorant and this ad stinks of the Christian Identity movement and the Aryan Nation.

  • This guy is joking...right?

  • Enjoy heaven knowing people are being tortured every day for the rest of their existence. What a merciful god!

  • Meh all you Christians in the USA are so full of sin anyway that you'll burn in hell for eternity as well if your stupid god has his way. Got anny fatties in the familly? Now there's a DEADLY sin. Much worse than homosexuality.

  • Dude you're a fucking nazi. I would take San Francisco any day over your "Mississippi Values."

  • That ad is so bad that it gave me sonic diorerrah.

  • OMG BEST POLITICAL AD OF THE YEAR. amazing. Kay Barnes knows how to party. she has my vote.

  • That lady knows how to par-tay. Gay abortions for everybody! =D

  • Just be glad your mother didn't abort you.

  • we all regret that yours didn't drop you down a fukkin well

  • Funny ad.

  • I still want this song on CD or for download, lol

  • Why didn't they just flash "RACE MIXING" in neon lights while playing the opening from "Birth of a Nation"? You know it's bad when you think Lee Atwater had some class by comparison.

  • lol'd

  • Why the poor ratings, people? The ad parodies itself.

  • this could very well be the worst campaign ad ever created.

as a democrat, i'm almost willing to lend my services to the republicans (for a large fee) to make ads that won't make people's eyes bleed.

  • This is almost as good as the fake campaign ads in GTAIV. Mark my words, before this is done, someone is getting called a pedophile.

  • I'm kind of diggin' that blonde chick!!!

  • .. yea, .. but the one on the left is really **hot** .. she reminds me so much of a former girlfriend.

  • Ha ha ha ha ha! I love the dancing. Thank you Mr. Graves. I needed a good laugh. Lets party!

  • SF Rox!

  • looks like a pretty fun party, what do you say we have the obama 08 victory celebration there?

  • amazingly bad haha

  • i have this sudden urge to visit san fransisco now.

  • Thousands dead in Iraq on both sides, $5 gas, Katrina and Malibu are still fucking messes, can't buy a house without sacrificing your first born, but OH GOD THE HOMOS WANT TO MARRY EACH OTHER WHADDA WE GONNA DO

  • Speaking as a politically-independent homo, the only part of Graves' ad that truly offended me was the linkage of Barnes' views on abortion with her views on same-sex marriage and other gay-rights issues. (I've learned never to assume that pro-gay = pro-choice, or that anti-abortion = anti-gay, or whatever.)

On the other hand, it's usually safe to assume that politicians in both parties are snakes who treat voters like slow children.

    And the "gay" dancers? Hilarious!

  • Having fun and dancing is sin! Haha... This ad looks like it was done by a 5th grade computer class.

  • Those people dancing were suppose to be gay people??? I don't know about that because that dude was really checking those two ladies out...lol

  • Why do Republicans love to demonize parties when they are much more likely to be alcoholics? Oh that's right, members of the GOP drink alone, haha.

  • The bros at :13 look pretty chill sound like they'd be fun to roll with

  • that's some sleazy house music in the bg

  • This has GOT to be a joke. Sheesh.

  • lol i agree

  • I can't stop laughing.

But I guess this ad ie real? We moved to STL a few years ago from Chicago. We were warned of the bigots and racists here, but I had no idea how bad it is. Missouri might as well be Mississippi. If it wasn't so damn cheap to live here we'd probably be gone by now. I don't see how this state is going to grow and attract business and valuable workers with an attitude like this. What's his next ad? Barnes believes the world is round!!?

  • I seriously want to party with Kay Barnes! She rocks !

  • Leave it up to these bigoted big-government Republicans to bash San Francisco and use it as a punching bag to win over brain dead redneck constituents who would probably vote for Hitler if he had an (R) next to his name.

  • are you sure this isnt a SNL skit?

  • I want San Francisco values: a thriving economy, happy and healthy people, great overall wealth, regard for the environment. Fellow Missourians--this is why the rest of the country thinks we are morons.

  • A Republican making a disgusting attack ad???, Now that's shocking, lol

  • Wow Sam Graves, big douche

  • Sam Graves= Man with one fading brain cell

  • Kay Barnes RULES!!!

  • Biblebeaters must be stopped! They are taking us back to the stone age, oh wait a minute, never mind, that'll support evolution. They'll have to come up with some other batshit-crazy, fear-tactics, based propaganda, um, ...perhaps threaten runaway inflation? $4/gal gasoline? Dying and maimed American military embroiled in a futile juggernaut? Nat'l Debt soaring to insurrmountable threshold? ... Nah, that's already been done.

  • does anyone know where to find this music?

  • But that's *exactly* what Missouri needs: More San Francisco values.

San Fran is an awesome city, and if Barnes wants to make MO more like San Fran then more power to her!!

And what's wrong with gay people having rights equal to everyone else's? Seems to me I remember hearing someplace that we're supposed to live "with liberty and justice for ALL".

Sen. Jim Talent ran homophobic ads like this on TV and got beat like a rented mule by Claire McCaskill. Hopefully these will backfire too.

  • Can't stop watching it. The best campiest stuff (including stock footage) I've seen since Ed Wood.

  • well this really brought home the danger our country is in what with these homosexuals getting married and all. If the institution of marriage crumbles as this add shows things will degrade down to a campy dance party. Most americans wouldn't be able to handle going to a B52's concert on shrooms, let alone a 24/7 barrage of hyper camp these west coast liberals want to hoist on us. say no to kay barnes and her san francisco values.

  • I got nothing against homos, everyone should own one to decorate the place.

  • I'm in Georgia right now. Would it be worth it for me to drive to Missouri so I can mention the time I aborted a fetus while sitting on an engorged cock and using my foot to open the gate for undocumented Mexican immigrants, all at the same time to this guy? I mean, just to see what he'll say and all.

  • LULZ!

  • I would SO go to that party!!

  • Seriously. I'm only bothered that I wasn't invited! Who doesn't like to party? I'm voting for Kay Barnes!

  • It's a real ad; seen it on the news. Find it on the Kansas City Star's website

    Check it out...

  • Hysterical ad...but the music, I gotta have that music! It's up there with the spanish flea in terms of great game show intro music. Someone has to know what that is. I hope republicans didn't write it.

  • I love the music too!

  • Couldn't they have gotten RuPaul? Or Chris Crocker?

Also, was this an attack on San Francisco values or the 1980s?

The only thing I got out of it was grandma likes to party. She's got my vote.

  • phahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

is this an SNL skit or is a politician this stupid to let this be shown on air?!

i think you lost this for yourself bud

  • Worst. Ad. Ever.

  • That's apalling. Some people have no shame.

  • Hahahaha, so amateurish. He could take some pointers from the ordinary folk's talent here on YouTube. LOL

  • Coming from California, I don't get why republicans think San Francisco values are horrible. I mean essentially San Franciscan's believe in not putting one moral system over another as long as all moral problems are victimless. Even you honestly believe that your moral codes are superior to another set of moral codes, then you essentially are a fascist, no better than Hitler. What happened to the old republican party? The party that didn't care what you did and limited government interference

  • What the fuck?!

that was the chessiest shit I've ever seen.

    What a mornon.

It's funny cause, I support everything they listed.

    :)

    SF rules lay off.

It's one of the coolest places in the US

I don't get why it has such a stigma just because we think freely unlike republicans :)

    This guy : FAIL

  • When is the contest being held? I bet you Kay Barnes will win, I don't care what stooge thinks... so far they lost seats that they 100 percent thought they would keep. Let's let it play out and see who wins! My bet is on Kay Barnes!

  • 5* for the hilarity of it all!

  • lol What the hell. Is that mullet girl supposed to be a lesbian?? And what does a black guy in a cowboy hat have to do with being gay?? I dont understand. They state all those things like they are bad.

  • It is a win on how funny it is. I seriously thought this was a joke! hahahahhahah

Seriously though... a fail for Sam Graves. How pathetic. He certainly is supporting our values by taking money from the oil companies and giving them tax breaks so they can celebrate windfall profits and we can pay 4 bucks a gallon at the pump. WTG Sam Graves... or should I say WTF? Have one of your 'counterculture' experts define what that means for you. And spend about 118K of a grant to do it.

  • This is shameful. Reprehensible.

  • what a disgrace he is!!

  • Isn't Brokeback mountain in Montana?

  • Uh, I guess. Are you trying to make a point? Because you should learn your state codes a little better. MO = Missouri.

  • woot for San Fransisco!

  • Looks like one more Congressional seat for the Democrats. See ya later, Sam Graves.

  • Sorry, but this is one seat you Dumbocrats aren't getting.

  • We've already won three "Republican" strongholds, this one will be a cinch.

  • The comments on here and the response of the mainstream media to this ad are the reason why it will be effective. The ad isnt well done but it highlights her liberal views on social issues. The democrats that are winning in republican areas are pro life democrats and pro family, not social liberals.

  • What exactly is "pro-family" to you? Republicans have effectively distorted that word for years now.

  • i need this music

  • Considering the rednecks in that district, this ad will probably work like a charm

  • Woohoo get down! Party over there, party over here! Sam Graves is a douche, usually the ones who attack you are the worst ones.

  • Are you serious?! Is this really an ad?! Oh my god it's like a snl spoof ad it's soooo ridiculously stupid!

  • It has been confirmed that Michael Graves used taxpayer money to buy a home in the Philippines where young boys have lisps!

    John Hunter for Governor 2008!

  • Wow this is one of the most shittiest ads I've seen in a long time. Looks like another seat that could go Democratic. I live in NJ and the 7th district here which is held by the republicans is definitely going to go democratic. The Republican Party is going to get pummeled in the elections and running these lame campaigns isn't going to help them.

  • HAHAHAHA....and that`s suppose to shock people.

  • Those people look happy. I think they must have the better candidate

  • Lame!!! Kay Barnes is right. This video is pathetic. Wake up and smell the 21st century, people!

  • Having just spent a weekend in St Louis (the "Gateway to Boredom"), I can say with certainty that I much prefer San Francisco values. Sam Graves is revealing himself as another bigoted, unthinking Repuglican, more of which we certainly don't need.

  • Just give it up Stooge Watcher, your party is in shambles. You guys messed up, get over it. The political system runs in cycles, its now the dems turn to be in control.

I am guessing you never been to the bay, because if you went there you would notice that it is filled with diversity. I'm jewish, I was from the bay area. I know a lot of other jews who were from the bay area as well. It is definitely not anti-anything other than maybe anti-hate.

  • Maybe you are misunderstanding: this negative ad "spit at" American voters and it was made by and for a Republic bigotted homophobe. We really do need to get beyond being so stupid or the rest of the world is going to eat our lunch. STUPID is anti-American AND anti-Christian.

  • You are either joking, or mentally ill.
