I'm born and raised in Mississippi, and I've had both the Southern Pecan and the Indian Summer by Lazy Magnolia. Southern Pecan is much better than Indian Summer. Indian Summer has strange aroma that I can't bring myself to like. It's a lighter wheat beer--taste is ok, but smells like... cold pee? urine? I hate that because it doesn't taste half bad. Southern Pecan is pretty good. I'll stick to Pilsner Urquell though. I want to try the Southern Gold... I'm a USM Alumni.
Thanks for the comment and the honesty - I've had beers in the past that taste like hot dog water - we can't love them all, but we sure can try to taste them all!

Pecans (and nuts in general) can be really subtle flavor-wise, especially up next to kilned malts.
