  • school of rock brought me here.

  • Yes, A Celebration 1969-1979 2DVD set available at Tommygun Video please see our Youtube channel for link to wbsite/clips/more info - also features live at QPR 1975

  • AMAZING BASS WORK

  • some things i just rather remember on vinyl..........some live versions should simply die,or never have been born to begin with................

  • I love this song

  • The 'studio', or original version of this son id on the Yes debut album, 'Fragile'. Best album they ever put out, and the second piece of vinyl I ever bought (still have it!). J

  • @jake46464able Fragile was their fourth studio album, first with Wakeman though

I have to say I prefer Close to the Edge though - more consistent and admittedly I'm a sucker for side-long epics

  • The 'studio' (or original) versio n of this is on the Yes debut album, 'Fragile' (2nd album I ever owned).

    J

  • Wow, 50k views, didn't know this many people liked YES.

  • @umx48 Yes is magic, my friend :)

  • @umx48 you think 50 k is alot it not enough

  • @umx48 yes, we do ;)

  • yo solo puedo expresar exitacion y placer

  • A legendary song of our time. Right dudes?

  • is there no such thing as a studio version of this song?is it just a myth?or not in youtube at least?

  • @PaulThePuppetier

There is, it was on the album "Fragile".

  • @umx48 Yep, great album!

  • I usually avoid live versions of this, because the song is so very overplayed.. That said, this version is the most spirited of the latterday versions.. I really wish Wakeman still used a real Hammond onstage. His digital keyboard sounds have been getting cheesier and cheesier as the years go by.

  • @enoesque

It's hard to find a keyboard thats more classical thats for something like YES, most keyboards now are used for that techno junk, I also wish John anderson would stop being so weird and actually do a tour with the rest of the band!

  • @umx48.. Well no. If anything Keyboards have been going "retro" now for quite a while. Wakeman even uses an Moog.. I have no idea what the deal is with Jon and the rest of the band. Benoit sounds just like him, but who knows if he can write?

I'd like to see Anderson return soon, because right now the band is just a tribute act.

  • @umx48

Sorry. I'm a keyboard player and that statement is simply untrue. Nord, Korg and Roland all have great Hammond sounds with real drawbars and great leslie sounds, not to mention Hammond, with the XB, and XK series organ keyboards. Igor, and Oliver used them on their respective tours. And let's not forget about Tony Kaye and Geoff Downes, who toured with real Hammonds. That was just as much a part of the Yes sound as Moog and Mellotron, which have also been available as sound patches.

  • @umx48 Most keyboards are used for techno junk, but that's because of the programmers who use it. Maybe he's just not very good at programming. Don't blame the techno uprising for this persons inability to program. =/

  • i found this song out from school of rock. jack black tells lawrence to listen to it for homework. he tells him the keyboard solo will blow the classical music out his but. he was right.

  • Never mind the pics, GREAT AUDIO!!!!!!

  • Hey!

    Best version on Youtube, really.

The others r never in such a good qualitiy.

  • @therealmilkcow - It's good because it's doctored up in the studio. "Extended Versions" is a not-band-authorised repackaging of their 1996 CD "Keys to Ascension", which I found out the hard way by buying both. When I bought "Keys" I was so blown away by how good "The Revealing" sounded live, especially since they hadn't played it so long. My bubble was busted pretty bad when I found out they rerecorded a lot of the "live" stuff in the studio.

  • Very nice sound quality the highs are right on. cool

  • yeaaaah que buena cancion me encanta y lo mejor de esto es observar su evolucion como habran llegado a lago tan lucido y siniestro no lo seeeeee¡

  • "Mountains come out of the sky~"

Jesus christ, the imagery conjured by that line makes me want to listen to this whilst tripping balls.

  • because a bass line that is longer then 3 frets is disgusting.

  • andyib632 look up emerson lake and palmer- from the beginning. thats wat i think it sounds like at the beginning, maybe thats wat your talking about.

  • This song has got to be about LSD

  • Mountains come out of the sky

  • I dont know what it is but my version (by Yes not me) is way better then this not sound quality or anything like that just better musical skills

  • Hey, whats agy about Yes? You hear the base? CRAZY TALENT! You hear that keyboard/analouge solo? AMazing. He inspired me to take piano.

  • take piano? what do you mean take piano? did you go steal a fucking piano?

  • Take piano lessons. No i didnt steal a piano!

  • most awesome bass line ever amirite

  • you are correct sir.

  • so true

  • @rockleerocks1o1 werd up

  • you know the part at the satrt, right after the intro like when it's going into the begining of the song, it sounds like an acoustic; 0:32 - 0:37 ... i swear i've heard that in another song before. it sounds rly awsome tho.

  • i think Steve howe is just playing reaaaaaalllly low on the fret neck.

  • I think it was the intro to Love Song by Tesla.

  • Yeah, i swear i heard something exactly like it somewhere.. can't remember for the life of me what it was though. I think I heard it in Roundabout first however.

  • I got to see the Topographic Oceans tour way back there. Always a big fan, just live out of the way of big tours. And these days I won't pay the stiff on admissions. Yes indeed this sound quality is very clear and articulate. Which of course Yes is as well.

  • Added.

  • With the screaming, great !!!

  • what??

  • Screaming? XD I hope he realises this isn't slipknot lmao

  • I love the audio quality, maybe you could make another with good video, even the same picture all the way through is better that a blank screen, kind of like listening to this on LP, you have to look at the cover art or look at a magazine...

  • yah sorry, Movie maker wasn't working for me that day (When i opend it, when i added a picture and tried to extend it, it crashed) and no Actual video exists from the concert.

  • yes, ftw
