$300 goes a long way in Argentina. All he needed was a camera and computer, which he probably already had and wasn't factored into the cost. Those actors probably worked for nothing or next to that, standard wages there. Nothing was actually destroyed; it was all CGI.

I think $300US might go a lot further in Argentina than it does here. I'm sure that the cost of whatever crew he had was next to nothing; wages aren't much there. Same with the few actors he had. And you don't need much equipment at all to do this with how CGI works these days. He probably already had a camera and computer, that's probably not part of the $300.

All it really takes is a lot of hard work and the talent to pull it off. And that is why it is so impressive.
