I also heard a lot of complaints from the other con goers about people buying illegal drugs. They really need to step it up like they did the last 3 years I went ( This was my forth year). I wanted to have fun and have that feeling of not wanting to go and leave before the ending ceremony, I really did want to have that feeling of having that hype being fulfilled, but I didn't. Not because of changed, because of the problems they had.

dude we just had a simular con experiance. at ikkicon04 2010 in austin texas. it was awesomelast year but it just sucked as a con this year. an its always in the hilton lol so were ganna try a new con anime overload in june. its not in the hilton and well everyones excited. so well see :)
I used Nova's funny faces where her mouth is all agape and all and like rocking back and forth for randomness on my Hugs video XD I just thought it was funny and I needed something for 30 sec.
omg i remember "Line-con" i was in line for like 5 hours then i finally got in with my friend but it was all worth it, good thing i pre-registered for 2009s animeboston lmao
Haha the same thing happened to me, it's the only con I've ever gone to because it's close. It is a lot of fun! Pre-registering is the way to go, even though the line is still pretty bad.

lol. AB08, preregister line was 6 hour wait, and that was for those who got in early. for walkin reg, upwards of 10-12 hours. X3. lol. luckily that was the only year that happened since the normal reg line was closed off for whatever reason and they had to move to a teeny-weeny little room.

the con sucked this year. i mean, yeah, seeing people was nice, but the hotel/location/staff/security was horrible. last year was better, by far. D; there's been talk of hotel changes, which i hope go through.
yeah, the kumoricon was pretty suck-ish this year, but its usually awesome!!! theres just people wandering around outside, talking to friends, giving hugs, dancing, looking at the stands where you buy stuff.... its really fun, and i dont think that they are going to do it at the hiltan again... ever. this year it was just too confusing, none of the staff new anything about it, so you didnt know where anything was and... it was just frustrating... i still had a fun time with my friend but... yeah
and yes kumoricon 08 was great! there was a park right there (literaly) and a mall that welcomed us and all that fun stuff... but 09 was compleatly horrible and im glad i didnt end up staying in the hiltin

This was my first Kumoricon too. I totally agree with you guys. The con itself (staff and venue) was really bad. It was like we were breaking the rules just standing around... not a good feeling. lol. AB08, preregister line was 6 hour wait, and that was for those who got in early. for walkin reg, upwards of 10-12 hours. X3. lol. luckily that was the only year that happened since the normal reg line was closed off for whatever reason and they had to move to a teeny-weeny little room.

I remember that.AB registration was pretty bad last year.Luckily,people let me cut 3 hours in the line with them due to my cosplay :D
Anyways,too bad Kumoricon sounded like a dud.But hopefully you guys still had some good times

wait. what? the masquerade wasn't ticketed, at far as i could tell. at least, i didnt have one and i got in. also, yeah.
the con sucked this year. i mean, yeah, seeing people was nice, but the hotel/location/staff/security was horrible. last year was better, by far. D; there's been talk of hotel changes, which i hope go through.

yeah, the kumoricon was pretty suck-ish this year, but its usually awesome!!! theres just people wandering around outside, talking to friends, giving hugs, dancing, looking at the stands where you buy stuff.... its really fun, and i dont think that they are going to do it at the hiltan again... ever. this year it was just too confusing, none of the staff new anything about it, so you didnt know where anything was and... it was just frustrating... i still had a fun time with my friend but... yeah

and yes kumoricon 08 was great! there was a park right there (literaly) and a mall that welcomed us and all that fun stuff... but 09 was compleatly horrible and im glad i didnt end up staying in the hiltin

Meh, overall what I'm getting from everyone who went was that Kumoricon sucked, but my friends made it awesome....xD I say you join me in not going back next year, and the year after that, until the end of time. Last years Kumoricon was ruined by bitchy staff people, and it apparently was worse with them this year.....Yeah. xD;

This was my first Kumoricon too. I totally agree with you guys. The con itself (staff and venue) was really bad. It was like we were breaking the rules just standing around... not a good feeling. I've heard great things about that con, it's a shame it was such a disaster this year. I loved meeting up with people, though. My group and I saw Fighting Dreamers there, we were parallel in pre-reg line (also a joke) for about a minute, otherwise we probably would have said hi. Here's to a...

Talkin to my friend about goin to Sakura Con in Seattle. But also want to go to Oni-Con......because I have friends in Houston. Ill have to see if I get paid that week. But regardless of which I go to I plan on cosplaying Ban Midou from Get Backers, since I cosplayed him at A-Kon 20 this year. But my Ginji lives in Colorado. :(
