How on earth is Alex Green not a top 10 pick? Blazing speed. WR hands. Instinctive. And he's nearly 230..... What else do you need in a RB??

@nubbyubby I could see them doing the wildcat but put Rodgers at running back or Cobb at running back. QB-Rodgers, Cobb-RB...will Rodgers pitch it to Cobb for him to run or to throw? (Switch them around) Will Cobb take the snap and run with it or will he pitch it to Rodgers to throw?? I don't see them running the true wildcat but coming up with different versions of it.

ok haha you both are right, both carimi and sherrod have a lot of ups and little downs. not only is sherrod athletic, he can run block. miss ran the ball a lot, and out of a spread.

i really like green, hes a very good change direction back and also excels in the spread.

running out of the spread was the hardest for GB last year.

Maybe TT is going to have grant and starks for under center and green for the spread? occasionally jackson on some third downs. cobb has a lot of potential. steal.

@RHoles1 I highly doubt we run any version of the wildcat. If we do, though, I think it will involve Cobb taking the snaps out of it since he is used to that. The Green pick was the end to Jackson's tenure in Green Bay. No way do the Packers keep four RBs. I think he is a perfect third down back as he is an exceptional receiver out of the backfield and is a very willing blocker when he stays in to block.

Fucking Bears! I wanted to see Carimi in a Packer uniform something fierce. He's much more NFL ready then Sherrod is. Could have put him on the RT and moved Bulaga over to LT is Clifton couldn't go but more likely could have put Carimi at either guard (LG and got rid of Colledge).

Still I like Cobb a lot. Probably the best pick of the drat for GB. He looks like Donald Driver 2.0

@redduey I really like Sherrod. He excels at pass blocking, which makes him a perfect LT, keeping Bulaga on the right side...

@JonathonZenk Don't like those spread systems. I find they distort proper NFL blocking techniques. Carimi is fine at pass blocking and can play immediately. The system Sherrod came out of was more gimmicky because Miss St. was not a dominate offensive team. Don't see the punch from Sherrod to be a LT.

Carimi on the other hand dominated the Big 10. He blew Cameron Heyward out of the water; Heyward was engulfed by Gabe. Was just as good against Kerrigan and Clayborn as well.

@JonathonZenk Wo pal slow down there. I thought this was a friendly discussion of player preference? Did I insult your intelligence but stating my preference for one player over another or how I view offensive of linemen coming out of college? I have a point of view I was explaining my thought process not attacking anyone. I'm not saying Sherrod won't or can't be good but merely I prefer Carimi and the system he comes out of. To attack me like that is uncalled for.

@redduey I like Carimi too, but it's not like Sherrod is playing in the Sun Belt. He is also playing against some of the premier pass rushers in the country and he has more than held his own. I still have my doubts about whether Bulaga can play LT. In the preseason and TC, the coaching staff can figure out what player works the best at which spot.

@JonathonZenk I on the other hand feel Bulaga can make the switch to LT. I know Sherrod is athletic which is his best quality, more athletic than Carimi, which is probably why he has a shot at being a LT in the NFL where as Carimi is going to play RT or a guard. The best thing for Sherrod is that he can sit behind Clifton for probably most of the season if Chad is healthy and be coached up, because he's raw technique wise.

@namra1205 I got the Sherrod highlights after Friday, Cobb and Green highlights Saturday, and the rest as they were picked yesterday. I worked on it during the draft haha...
