@kaptinhowdy13 They can be steel.... I'm not sure about nylon, but I do know plastic is often used. My harp has plastic strings but I'm not sure exactly what they are made of. Hope this was at least semi-helpful :D

@TheClaymoreKid Your 'plastic strings' are nylon :) Harps come in steel, nylon, or cat gut (or a combination most lever harps have their lowest scale as steel strings) cat gut runs 20$ a string and they break often but they sound the best!

if you played piano before, you'll be able to read the notes NO PROBLEM :)

but it is difficult to play in the sense that it's very physical.  you use your entire body!

@jacjacattack i've been teaching myself the harpsichord(a very old version of the piano) by ear. I've played flute for a good portion of my life (since like elementary school to my first year of high school) so I know pretty much the trebel cleff down flat :P

Coming from a harpist, may I suggest that during that consistent arpeggiated bass to use 4-3-2-1 in stead of 4-2-1-2.

It will make the supporting bass much more smoother.
