I noticed the dude putting the ligature on with the screws on the upper part of the mouthpiece instead of the side where the reed is placed. Just personal preference? Or does that affect the tone? I'm going to try it either way
Cool video by the way. Nice to see some canadian content on here (im in BC)
lol. my guitar teacher did a free improv song with his music group once. He had to look out at the audiance. if the person he looked at didn't make eye contact he would play the note he was playing over and over until they looked at him. once they looked at him he looked at someone else with a different note and repeated the process until people figured it out.
Thank you for your comment. We meet every other Monday from 7 to 9 PM. These are drop-in events and everyone is welcome. I like to describe what we do as "music without credentials". The group includes amateurs like myself as well as professionals. This is our third year. The leader and founder is Norman Adams, who is playing the cello in the video. He is the Principal Cellist for the Halifax Symphony Orchestra.
What's even more interesting is that at about the time you were commenting on my video I was looking at your Lesson 1 theremin instructional video. The Theremin would make a wonderful addition to our group!
