  • toyota is junk

  • "You can't say its underpowered", "Higher quality plastics" .....is this a joke?

  • did i hear her say "high quality plastics"?

  • Lucerne sounds like a cholesterol medicine.

  • Yes, you can claim it is underpowered. The taurus is 265 HP standard and Chrysler is pushing 300.

  • Where did you think of this! Very creative, ho-e you like my videos!

  • I plan to purchase a CXS or a Super version before too long. By the way I am 15...

  • @NattDogg01, the Northstar is real smooth! I own two of them now. Just be sure to get all the fluids changed it's pretty important with that engine.

  • @shred5 My grandpa has a 2006 SRX with the 4.6 litre Northstar and it is a very refined powerplant. I plan to always have my car serviced by professionals anyway so I shouldn't have anything to worry about. Not that I am lazy, I just don't want to mess up anything and if something goes wrong, I can have someone to blame...

  • the 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne is assembled in

    Hamtramck, Michigan, United States

  • @MidnightRambler73 Anything but Chrysler products. My other grandmothers Dodge shadow, well, my favorite car, but the paint flew off faster than you could drive it lol...not to mention all the other problems, basically, I pay homage to it only because of its roll in my childhood and getting me into cars in the first place, other than that, i have a Cadillac that is 10 years older that that dodge and has been treated worse, and has 98 percent less problems lol.....I refuse to ever buy a 300 ;(

  • @deedundone, my father has owned nothing but Chryslers. Had a Spirit, top speed on a large downhill was about 40mph! Had Aries and Reliants that would not make it up most larger hills, and broke down weekly.

I liked the room in the 300, but I would not classify the interior as luxury or upscale... not much better than a Ford Focus (aka garbage interior). The base engine was absolutely underpowered, and after learing more about it, sludge killed most of them before they ever hit 50k too.

  • @deedundone actually the only cars I say do not buy are anything Chrysler, Kia and Hyundai. Most other brands made within the past 12 or so years are generally fine but there are some models I would never buy either (for example, a Chevy Cavalier at all costs - those things eat headgaskets as fast as they drink oil. Impalas and Malibus were ok for what they were though)

  • @shred5 Kia and Hyundai have improved by leaps and bounds over the past few years by all accounts. They're ahead of most of the competition in many respects.

Despite their improved interiors, I still wouldn't buy a Chrysler. No evidence they've improved their quality at all. A shame considering the 300 is a good-looking car.

  • @MaestroTJS, they have but EVERYONE I know with one, and that is a lot of people, have needed a transmission every 30k with no exceptions, and they don't even get a loaner covered for the first month of the 2-3 the local dealers take to do the job (yeah, the local dealers are shit too). And most of them need a head gasket every 50k or so, with very few exceptions to that one. Honestly though, I like Hyundais styling for the price range a lot but I still wouldn't buy one.

  • @shred5 That's disappointing to hear. Are they newer models? (2006 and newer, roughly...that seems to be when their cars started getting a nicer.)

  • @MaestroTJS, some are newer, and some are older. I don't know anybody who still drives one older than 2005 currently, they all seem to have been traded in or scraped.

  • @MidnightRambler73 Sometimes Im a bit dyslexic lol.... Anyways, My grandparents bought a brand new chysler, with in a week, the ac, transmission, and radio had problems, the dealer wanted to do repairs, yeah right lol. However, my grandparents didnt know that Chrysler owned Jeep. So the next car was a jeep. well, the break lights went in that in about 6 months, so then that was gone and of course my grandmother was more than angry about not knowing it was just a Chrysler,lol...we pretty much buy

  • @MidnightRambler73 SORRY! I READ it WRONG! I thought it said, i wouldn't buy a Buick any day over a Chrysler. No I agree, my family has been screwed over by Chrysler 5 o many times...... Buick has much better quality than Chrysler, FOR SURE!

  • @MidnightRambler73 So youd buy shitty cars over the more refined. Good Luck :)

  • nothing wrong with a QUALITY high end family car. Reminds me of the quality and quietness of the Oldsmobile Delta 88 and more so of the Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. Its about time someone built a modern car that is actually decent looking, good on gas and, for those that need them, has tech features. give me a nice quiet highway car thats made well enough that I can drive 300 miles in a single shot and I'd be a happy man. Id like one of these w/ a 3.8 and a new V6 Mustang stick shift (300+hp 31mpg)

  • Come on, this thing is just plain old fashioned, stuck in a lineup with modern vehicles. Bring back the Park Avenue on the Zeta platform!!

  • @JonElevator i agree, it reminds me of my grandfathers 05 Lacrosse, its out of style....and just plain old. Im sure its a great car, but in the Buick line up it no longer fits in and they dont even advertise it in there line up, expect them to kill it off by pulling the plug in the coming months/year, especially with the Verano regal enclave and lacrosse all coming in now.

  • @deedundone Oh yes, this model is totally being discontinued according to a GM rep. Interesting thing is that the current Lacrosse is the size of, if not bigger than Lexus LS, Acura RL and Infiniti M. So technically they dont need a new full size car now but like I said, I want Zeta-based Buick and Cadillac sedans to come here!!

  • @deedundone I travel alot and i like driving full sized American cars because they are comfortable, quiet, durable and w/ the 3800 V6 performance modifications are abundant. ie you can get close to 100hp per liter and good torque throughout the RPM range. Too bad they are killing off this big Buick. The Lacrosse strikes me as cheap - i have looked at both in the well lit show room and you can just See the Lacrosse has the asian looking steering wheel, poorer fitment of the glass and body panels

  • @mustang633NY Personally being an American, I dont actually prefer big cars. I mean the Lacrosse is plenty big for me actually. The regal is a perfect fit. then again, I have a 90's Cadillac - boat, a mini van, a truck, so a smaller sized car would be awesome lol..... anyways, personally what Im looking for is a car I can drive at any size, thats easy on the gas. Id be more fond of big american cars, if they didnt drink up the exon valdize ever 2 minutes lol.....

  • @deedundone lol.. well my 1977 oldsmobile ninety eight used to get 12mpg and it had a 6.6L v8... that was a freaking gas pig and not long after i bought it gas jumped way up to $2.00 a gallon. My 1996 oldsmobile ninety eight got 24mpg mixed driving and around 27mpg highway. my 2007 impala used to get a solid 27mpg every day and a tick under 30mpg with a light foot on the highway. Big cars have come along way but new cars like the Ford Focus can get as much as 41mpg highway and over 30mpg city!

  • @mustang633NY i know, if i was going to buy a larger car, id buy the lincoln version of the fusion :) but im holding out until lincoln gets its own cars :)

  • @deedundone yeah - lincoln town car is a pretty car thats ultra nice inside and out where as the new ones look like toyotas and are based on cheap fords

  • It's a good comfort car designed for those like the old Buick Park Ave.

  • '

    no no no thank,,,

    i dont like this car

  • Ugly POS

  • Byu-week? I thought Boo-weak?

  • They got the passenger seat up all the way, so it makes the rear look huge, you can tell by the B pillar, and the seat belt.

  • Don't like this car, reminds me of a dressed up impala. Would buy the newer styled, cheaper Buicks any day.

  • The Park Ave's was a much nicer car.... just didn't have the modern options...

  • @shred5 The Park Avenue might actually come back according to only a rumor though.

  • @JonElevator in name only... the new regal is an Opel and thus I wouldn't buy one, even used

  • @JonElevator The current park Avenue is just a rebagded GM Holden. So if they brought it hear, they would have to do some better blending with the other buick cars. And dont count on a rear wheel drive sedan in the US, theyve been gone since the 90's......

  • @JonElevator, I just saw this months later but they have a beautiful Park Ave in China... with the DTS and STS going away, they could release it in the US and it would not really compete with Cadillac as it would have a couple eyars ago. Hopefully...

  • @shred5 Well honestly, I would love to see the Park Ave here. but I guess GM cares about Buick's product line in China more then they do the US, and the US is its native country!! Also besides the Park Ave, the GL8 minivan should have been here too, as the new Terraza. Cadillac is still thinking of 2 sedans on the Zeta platform, one an S- Class, 7 series and A8 fighter and another probably really long ultra luxury sedan.

  • @shred5 I agree, I loved the Park Avenues. However, the Buick Lucerne was still ok, it was a large, traditional sedan, and I liked the styling. A shame that it was discontinued after 2011, without any successor following. I would buy it in a decently equipped version, even though people call it an 'old people's' car - I do not let people with prejudices decide which car to buy or not to buy. It is VERY reliable, interior quality is OK and the car is safe! And the price is decent.

  • @Travianwinner, I had a 2000 Lesabre with the 3.8L. My only complaint was the windows would fail every 60k or so, and dealers want like $500 to do the job (2 owners later, my girlfriend got a 3rd party regulator and installed it herself for $50, and I know people who would install it for $50 too). The only time the car left us stranded, it was 10 years old with like 160k on it and the battery died. Never did anything to that car minus change the oil every 5k.

  • shouldnt u drive what u want? manly cars and women cars is sexist .. and faggot isnt a very good insault ..oo and people who drive tough cars are usually d bag assholes ..o i drive a mustangs ..well sir mustangs suck ass ..asshole

  • At 3:25, is the back seat really that big?

  • @InfernalJay they obviously pushed the front seat all the way forward, I don't know whey they did that, no car has that much legroom

  • Hope the replacement is based on the G8's Zeta platform. They need a competitor to take on the 300 Limited/300C and Genesis 3.8/4.6 badly.

If nothing else, at least it would hopefully be on the Epsilon II and AWD only with an available V-8 or the new twin-turbo V-6.
