Did you have the problem with your MacBook Pro where it sounded like it was working but the screen itself was black? Mine had the same problem, it's a problem with the logic board where Intel gave Apple faulty chips without letting them know. Had mine fixed free as well. I know what you mean because I make videos and stuff from my laptop so it was frustrating without it.
