  • that is very cool

  • midbox very nice and blends well

  • good idea

  • that is such an awesome idea. Perfect for so many uses. plus it keeps cargo safe, dry and secure and has more room (compared to traditional truck bed toolboxes)

  • Mpg and saving the earth isn't all that matters, goku 1940, its also about what people want. If you want a truck, get one, besides, people like v8's and burnouts. Secondly, the processes used in building hybrid cars are dirtier than building trucks due to the fact that more energy is spent in mining the materials to make the batteries than energy used in making trucks. Lastly, I'm a college student with a part time job and my truck gets 13 mpg city, if i can afford that, most anyone can.

  • i like it how you are comparing a truck designed for towing, payload capacity, etc. to one that's designed for the pleasure of driving with some of the capabilities and capacities of a mid size truck for convenience. its like comparing a Ford Focus to a Ferrari F430. man ppl are dumb

  • ridgelines have no frame which is the backbone of any truck so the ridge line is spineless turd nothing more!

  • @BRENTHENRY1989 they are front wheel drive with rear assist in slick conditions, and they have independent suspension in the rear too ...

  • How is this going to give me 55 to 65 to the gallon? Why even bother with Trucks, they are retarded.

They waste gas, they are huge, acceleration is slow, they are bad for the environment, they look stupid, and are worthless.

While your creeping down the road, I'll be rocketing past you in a Honda Civic hybrid.

Down with trucks!! Long live Japan.

  • lol owning a hybrid doesnt make u a badass.

  • Who gives a shit about looking badass? All that REALLY matters anymore is fuel efficiency. What's the use in having a Badass vehicle if you can afford to drive it. Once again my point is present. Besides the facts are at hand, truck and SUV sales are down in the USA and Honda's sales went up not down. American car manufacturers are dying a slow painful death. While Japanese and European brands manufacturers are becoming stronger.

    Go Japan! Go Daihatsu Mira!

  • buy a moped...my moped gets 100 MPG. costed $2000 and goes 50 MPH lol. thats my alternative. hybrids are ripoffs and when people start buying them and the batteries start dying theyll realize that.

  • Good strategy. But my problem with that is- what I'll do when it starts to rain. Also I can't run my friends around town on a Mope head. I think I'll buy a Honda Fit or a Mitsubishi Dangan.

  • lol word i can drive on other person on mine :D stillg et to 45mPH so its all good. good for small city but they all got their advantages and disadvantages

  • Goku... you're a closed minded ass. My f-150 by no means will get the kind of fuel economy that your civic does. Your civic, however, can't tow my pontoon around. I'm also guessing you're not a home owner. Can your civic haul around various sizes of wood to build a fence, a deck, or maybe a trellis. What about when the hot water heater goes bad, can you fit a 60 gallon tank in the trunk of your civic? I'm glad that you drive a civic. Many people, however, have a need for a dependable truck.

  • show me a ridgeline that can do what a REAL truck can do then i'll listen untill then SHUT UP

  • once again, who gives a shit about trucks. A ridgeline gets 25 MPG and is sufficent enough to transport anything that someone might want to regularly transport.

In the end you'll need to sell the truck since you'll most likely not be able to afford Fuel. HAH HAH! I can only hope that fuel prices kill off the production of the truck. Besides Truck and SUV sales have fallen WAY down in the USA.

    考えるための愚かな人燃料の費用を打つことができるである。

    長く生きている日本。

  • it's fun to pretend isn't it.

FACT. Honda ridgeline gets the same milage as a chevy Silverado

FACT Honda ridgeline can only pull 5000lbs Silverado can do 10000 easy

BIGGER FACT!!!! the new Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid gets a better combined EPA MPG then the HONDA ACCORD :P

  • there's also a small V8 diesel comeing that should up the silverados highway milage to a whoping 25. lol at that little gas hog ridgeline only gettting 20mpg :P

REMEMBER PEOPLE just because it's a honda doesnt' mean it's fuel effecient.

  • not to mentione Ford and Dodge are also getting diesels. and Dodge will also be using the same hybrid system the silverado uses.

the next nissan titan will be a reskined dodge ram :p and Toyota is a LONG way form any diesels Hybrids or anything to improve their Piggy. a 40 year old C/K silverado with a 400 smallblock gets better milage then it

  • also, i guarantee you that the f-150 is going to last longer than your civic. and the list i explained above, well your civic can't do any of those things, which i have a need for. also, and i don't really need this, our f-150 can do a meaner burnout than your civic, considering the engine is about twice as big. now run along and deliver your pizza. BTW i like honda, i like the civic, it just doesn't meet MY needs, just as the f-150 doesn't meet YOURS.

  • I respect your opinion, But really come on buddy, All that really matters anymore is MPG and saving the Earth from green house gases. We don't need bigger engines, burnouts, and stuff like that. But you did make a respectfull point, I just don't have a need for the F-150 like you do.

  • ahh, i like it how people put stupid comments on youtube. then i can argue.

    #1) our new '08 f-150 gets 23 mpg.

#2) it can tow 6500 lbs.

#3) it very comfortably seats 3.

#4) it can actually go on a dirt road without getting stuck.

#5) it's very affordable for us to drive.

there are many other reasons i can think of but i didn't want to shut you down too far. FYI the f-150 is the 2nd best selling vehicle in the U.S., behind camry, and very recently. get a real job and you can afford one.

  • SORRY SEATS 6 NOT 3

  • NICE!

  • Does the Midbox lock/unlock when you use the key fob?

  • cool!

  • holding the camera with one hand...

  • cheap? Yeah dude its called metal. . . what were you expecting wood. . idiot

  • You sir, are the idiot. Do you not notice the poor quality of the interior construction? The cheesy latches and how the sliding tray looks so crude its as if its homemade.

  • I dunno they didn't seem that cheap they're just regular drawers, the sliding tray is stamped steel like any other tool storage box, maybe i can understand the latching it could be a bit stronger, but the drawers. . you gotta draw a line on it

  • lmao its called stock dumbass STOCK means no accesories kinda like you having no brain. normal.

  • Counting recalls is an exercise in futility. Unless it's directly related to vehicle safety most all motor vehicle recalls are strictly at the manufacturer's discretion. Toyota Tundra not having any recalls just means Toyota is better at covering up their fuck-ups or better at convincing the customer it's their fault.

  • they will soon have a recall with almost 19 new tundra having camshaft problems..i dont know how many trucks it takes to get the recall started it their..

  • have you seen how many fords catching fire?

  • no how many? i haven't seen any in my area catching fire and their are alot of fords and alot more ford trucks were i live.

  • check out the vids of these gay trucks and if you say anything bad about the tundra (which you will) i'll make you look like a dumbfuck

  • Okay I'll buy into this bull toyota tundras suck and they are pos's there end of story. Ford is still better. Built Ford Tough!

  • more like "Built Ford Gay!"

  • I was wondering if you'd ever respond. So what are you going to do now punk? Are you going to try to tell me how much better toyota isn't compared to ford like all the other toyota fans out there. Toyota+Trucks= P.O.S.

  • pos? at least my truck's cruise control doesnt set fire to itself and risk burning my house down!

  • At least I can rely on my drive train and that my camshaft won't fail me at 3 miles.

  • that happened a whole 1 time. not much room for taunts there.

  • Fords dont have a physical "cruise control" or Idle Air Control anymore. They are "drive by wire" now and way ahead of the curve. The engine electronics are powered by a 32-bit PowerPC-based "Black Oak" controller.

  • watch the bed bounce video on youtube, it makes an ass out of the turdra. and didnt ford outsell it again? and fords was rebuilt like 3 years before! kinda shows how overrated toyota really is. dont embarrass yerself there champ.

  • are you kiddin me? a stupid little vibration makes it a bad truck? that gay 5.4 is 12+ fukin years old! plus the tundra out-tows the competition and the ford has shitty brakes too

  • actually fords still outtows it has the best towing (11,000 lbs) and payload over 3000 lbs in class. do teh research. on top of that the 5.4 won a few awards for reliablility, and so what if its been around longer, that means its got an abundance of parts and costs less to maintain. ford won more awards than any other auto manufacture from j.d. power and associates in 2007. its way on top for quality and reliablility. the facts are there you just have to read them.

  • it wont be so reliable once my cruise control sets fir to the vehicle! =P

  • props to Kevbo

  • ford only outsold tundra becuz ford is affordable, not reliable

  • all you ford driving americans are racist, just because it comes from japan doesnt mean its not a real truck + all the tundras are built in USA 100%, they are still trucks, they have an engine, a bed,a cab, and all the other shit american trucks have

  • well first off, the gay 12 yr old 5.4L is a proven motor, with no risk of camshaft trouble and whatever other issues the 5.7 has had. second, the tundra is 75% american whereas f-150 is 90%, and by buying a f-series, silverado, or ram, you are supporting the uaw, the engineers, and the designers of that truck, all Americans! and i DO NOT believe supporting my country's economy makes me racist!

  • actually tundras are assembled in the usa, the parts are outsourced like all import brands they use glass, platics, metals etc from foreign countries, thereby affecting our economy by hurting our fellow american companies that manufacture materials for american vehicles such as ford.

  • not really, check a list that show the names of the companies they use to make the truck- it doesnt say denso anywhere. and as for the glass, plastics, metals they are all made in usa.

The engines, diffs, etc all come from places in the usa

  • toyota also had a major recall on the tundra driveshafts, so much for being bigger and beefier.

  • I hope this is a 2008 model. The first commercial truck in North America!

  • Maybe SVE did come up with it first, but Ford bought it, it's theirs. Thomas Edison invented the telephone but Bell bought it and put his name on it.

  • Heh, if anyone remembers their 1980s TV, Colt Seavers had something like that on his 1981 GMC Sierra Grande. Sides of the bed opened too.

  • Forgot to even mention the show "The Fall Guy"

  • Great program. Too bad it's not a Ford inovation. SVE Detroit, a division of Magna designed and engineered this product. Ford sends SVE a truck with an 8' bed chassis and a 5 1/2' bed installed leaving the gap between the cab and the bed. The only thing Ford did was agree to ship trucks to SVE to be upfitted. They should give credit where credit is due.

Options include Lights, 2, 3, and 4 drawer configurations, sliding trays, center divider, Aluminum and Composite toppers, and bed liners.

  • that is really cool and u would think toyota would come up with this stuff i mean ford have the f series step bar on the tialgate and now they have the midbox man thats cool

  • Thats not true........Toyota has recalled 30,000 Tundra`s for camshaft failure.

  • This was not a Ford innovation. The Midbox was conceived, designed and assembled by SVE America in Auburn Hills, MI.

  • How is that a major recall????? 99.95% of the Tundras produced are absolutely fine blue, and you consider that a major recall?? What would you call the recalls Ford has had in the past affecting millions of trucks?

  • the recalls that Ford had have not been a major issue like the Tundra's camshafts

  • Well how do you measure the level of the recall blue? In dollars... I think all those recalls cost Ford a little more than it cost Toyota to replace 20 engines.

  • That though, is beside the point. Toyota has not issued a recall, there is no recall to talk about. Ford recalled hundreds of thousands F150 each year of the current body style.

  • And then you go on to talk about 20 camshafts? What do you consider major blue?

  • i consider that a major recall krick and the F-150 had no MAJOR recalls as i stated before in the four years of production. this recall about the tundra and the camshafts is a major recall.

  • 2006 models had roughly 190,000 trucks recalled, 2005 models had roughly 190,000 trucks recalled and 2004 models had roughly 190,000 trucks recalled. I three years that is 570,000 trucks recalled. So if 20 trucks is major do you have a word for 28500 times more than major?

  • that is some bullshit you can just make up those fuckin numbers show me a link to see this so claim recalls and anyways the recalls were not major like camshafts blowin

  • NHSTA, go to the F150 and those numbers are low. Every single model of the F150 made is on there. I went with the Styleside haveing 87,000 trucks recalled and the Flareside having 87,000 trucks recalled and combined them for roughly 190,000. It's the same for each year. Definetly not bullshit. And no recall has happened for Toyota, recalls aren't necessary when the problem is only in 20 trucks. If its 190,000 trucks well then yes you need a recall.

  • I forgot to add in there the additional 5,000 per model for that was on there as well.

  • That is bullshit on all the F-150 forums ppl didnt have any recalls and there r many ppl on the forums and that is some fucking bullshit from a little fan

    boy

i have one and never had a recall a

  • So the National Highway Traffic Safety Administation is lying about the recalls?

Here are your numbers exactly Blue:

    2006 - 292,000 F150's recalled for Headlight issues, 34,396 were recalled for Tire/Belt issues

2005 - 292,000 F150's recalled for Headlight issues, 58,640 F150's recalled for Fuel System issues

That's just two years and that is not even all the recalls for those years on those trucks.

  • To check out these numbers go to NHTSA dot org and right in the middle of the screen it has a link for recalls, fill out appropriate info and there you have it.

  • so the headlight, tire/belt, and fuel systems arent nothin what toyota had on every car on their model line.

  • Well I thought you were comparing the current Ford model to the new Tundra? There have been no recalls on the new Tundra.

  • yes cuz toyota has many recalls on thier model line cars.

  • How cool is that! Pretty slick.

  • Every1 knows Ford is THE BEST!!!!1

  • Actually I think Ford is considered the worst car company in America. Toyota would be the best.

  • Toyota sucks hte new Tundra had a recall about the

camshaft and the fuck shit looks nasty and u still

sayin Toyota is good then u must be on crack

because ppl know Ford is the best company and the

    F-150 is the country's best sellin pick-up

  • Toyota has not had a recall big guy. CNN dot com says Toyota is pretty good. Oh wait they said Toyota is(and I'm quoting the TITLE of the article) "America's Best Car Company". Hmmm, what were you saying blue?

  • U might think Toyota is the best company in America

but at least the F-150 has had no major recall over

the three years it has been in showrooms.the Tundra

has a recall ur just a lil Toyota fanboy trying to

avoided this major issue like the rest of the lil

gay Toyota fanboys...[Qoute from Autoblog]Out of a run

of 30,000 5.7-liter V8 engines, Toyota has had reports of 20 camshafts snapping -- a minuscule number in light of the total (0.06 percent, as a matter of fact).

  • Did you just say that the F150 has not had a major recall in the 4 years it has been this current model?

  • Thats good stuff!!
