@ARTO540 I´m glad to hear that! I play spanish guitar on a basic level but I want to become a great player because I love that type of music:) we must have our dreams alive:) Take care!
not paco de lucia, not tomatito, not vicente amigo but...he is JASON MCGUIRE!!HE PLAYS VERY VERY WELL!!!IF YOU SAY:"HE DON'T PLAY WELL" WHY YOU DON'T TRY TO PLAY LIKE JASON?BECAUSE YOU CAN'T!!!!
We aren't being presumptuous. Taranta is a song form on Flamenco. Just as there is a Tangos from Argentina and also Tangos that is from Spain and is a form in Flamenco.
Flamenco artists have performed the style of Taranta for well over 100 years. Do some investigation. Google "Taranta Flamenco" and you will see. There is also another form called Taranto which is similar. Its in a slow 4 rhythm instead of libre.
This guy is a great mystery to me. Listen to this piece, then go to "Paisaje Jerezano", another one of his videos and try to figure out why he is not more well known in the world of flamenco yet. Great melody and sensitivity here, the "story" is beautiful and makes it one of the most enjoyable Taranta i' ve heard . His other video above mentioned displays incredible technique and power . Hope that he will soon get the recognition he deserves. Thanx for sharing..
I agree with you, mate. he deserves to be more famous, but I think, he is more focused into teaching and devotes himself to his students. so his time is exhausted in these activities so he does not have more space to realize himself in concerts, which is I think OK for him.
other thing is, to be famous and world wide known as Paco or Tomatito it requires a heavy load of concerts what actually makes its name...
whew...I bow. Simply the most beautiful guitar I have ever heard.

I'm always impressed to hear and see somebody play this way. And I wonder how someone can learn this. It's plain brilliant.
I love flamenco since many years.
And I'm surprised to learn there are many more great flamenco artists than only Carlos Montoya or Paco de Lucia. ;-)
Thanks, YT!

I don't really think so!!!I know what I'm talking about!!! don't be presumptuous!!
taranta is from south italy exactly from Lecce;

taranta y tarantos are both a palo flamenco. like many other palos.
for people who don´t know about flamenco it´s all just flamenco,
i´m sure there´s also a taranta from Italy, there´s also the argentinan tango and
the tango flamenco. Rumba Flamenca, Guajiras, Colombianas, Milongas and so on.
no offence but this is Taranta from Spain, and Jason plays it very well!
Just listen and enjoy the music!!
