n dont understand what it is..is that good or not? can you please gimme explanation?
Do you want to learn what enlightenment really is?Tired of running endlessly into the same useless information?intuition, healing powers, it is all part of human nature. This is the time to lift the veil THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM .
the nature and love itself call for you whenether you are ready to hear it, atleast now it does.. the mountin does not ignore you, nore the trees(?) nor the water... it's there nor the earth itself... be grateful for it... Not even the birds ignore you, they call for you... Like they called for the cameras attention... They call you the love in you! What do you think???
Meditation is so important! Remember Ram Bonjom, aka Palden Dorje who has been meditating in Nepal for over 4 years under a tree? Well, from November 18th to the 23rd, 2009 Palden Dorje will be giving blessings in Gadhi Mai. He plans this appearance in order to protest the sacrificing of tens of thousands of animals before they take place on the 24th at the Gadhi Mai Festival near Nijgad in Bara District. Please participate in any way you can. Tell all your friends!
I understand not everyone like the sound of birds or nature. That is why there are two other versions with different sounds that you can view on the website .
I don't think its about not liking sounds of birds or nature. I think its about the looped clip of clucking seagulls being obtrusive/distracting and dare I say annoying.
I would like to balance out such criticism by saying that this is still a good video. Thank you for sharing it.
Hello. I would REALLY appreciate your guidance to the location of the actual voice recording that is on this video. His voice, AND this particular meditation scheme works for me, but the editing in of other voices does not. However, if the voice does come with the seagulls, that would be fine, as long as the "entire" meditation is available.
Can you help steer me to him?
I did notice that the voice is Jon-Kabat Zin
I did find material related to him, but cant afford to buy anything.
You can check out " The Mindful Way Through Depression" book . It comes with a guided meditation Cd. The difference is that in the Cd you are guided to place awareness on the body in one track, sound in another track, and breath in a third track. The book is about developing " Right Mindfulness". This video remix is about " Right Stillness" or Concentration. You begin with mindfulness of body and sound, then zero in on the breath in a succession . Spending just enough time on each part.
This meditation scheme is based on " Mindfulness, Bliss, and Beyond" by Ajahn Brahm. The technique culminates in Samadhi or Jhana ( at stage 7). I will try to post a guided meditation with one voice on the website if you don't click with the ones available. The thing with long guided meditation with one voice is after the first 10 mins or so, the mind just zone out sometimes. When a different voice comes up, it immediately comes back to the guided meditation if it happens to be tuning out.
The images are just there because it is a video. Usually, at the beginning of the meditation the first thing we should do is close our eyes and turn within. If you are used to meditating with eyes open then the images can be distracting.
When you place awareness on sounds it keeps you from going into the past and future. I thought it is easier to focus on it when it is audible. Whether it be neutral, pleasant , or unpleasant, just be with it without reacting. Because, when you meditate at home, someone might turn on noisy music, sounds of cars, etc.. being aware without reaction will help you overcome these possible obstacles and move forward in the meditation. You can also apply this same attitude when observing thoughts.
One thing I could never do was meditate while on lsd or amanita muscaria. you are so awake to experience that meditation would be trifling. what are you trying to stop? what are you trying to do? the cushion is empty. the "i" is nowhere.
thanx,freedombeyon,....for giving me an assessment regarding this cos meditating is only my time to explore my all dreams come to be true....God Bless U!
A lot of people come across this problem in meditation. It's either because you try to put a stop to your mind too sudden or your body just need to release stress and tiredness accumulated from work and life. Try ease your mind into stillness slowly, like first placing attention on the body, and then sounds happening in the present, before actually putting awareness on the breath. If that doesn't work then maybe just sleep and give your body the rest it needed, after a while it would go away.
producing nice dream is not meditaion but living in dream so stop dreaming and start get living and you live if you produse life trough training and add it to your living:)

I agree with the meditation theory with using different voices after a time. I like the sounds of the birds as well. This works for me. Namaste.

great video, but the birds were a bad idea.
roryphelan 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Birds are a great idea, better than Irish
who are so selfish, they not only drink their quota of booze, they try to steal the
next guy's booze. There should be trials
forcing Ireland to be accountable for their
unauthorized confiscation of other's
booze.
And Ireland makes very poor quality of
beer, which shows they are an uncivilized
mob, who don't repect birds or good beer.
Irish like reading, until the booze bell rings, then they like fighting.

Nice, except for the repeated loop of those noisy birds.

Yes, it is the voice of Jon Kabat Zinn.
For best results, meditate with eyes close.

Shouldn't the eyes be half closed to avoid mental fall-ing-ish thing?

eh the visuals are too distracting, but the voice is good.
