Lark Rise is wonderful as a whole, but this is one of the absolute gems of the series. It made me cry like a baby when I first saw it and it still does now. The actors are all perfect and amazingly talented.

@ceece7 Most of the characters were modeled on actual people; Lark Rise to Candleford is semiautobiographical, based on Flora Thompson's experiences in Fringford (Candleford). The first series was very close to historical events, and later series less so, but the writers have kept true to the spirit of the people involved.

It's really so refreshing to have a series that actually has some meaning in each episode. Shows used to be like that, but now they're all sex and violence and bad language. "Larkrise to Candleford" is an oasis!!!

I managed to hold back the tears...but then Thomas wept and they came gushing out. Its sort of an honour to watch these people act so beautifully. Its not common nowerdays to fall so madly in-love with every single character. Thank you so much BBC for blessing us with this series. And thank you so much @LarkRiseCandleford for allowing us the pleasure of watching them again :D
