yes, compressor surge is bad for turbos, killd the seals. tune the BOV you got, if it's not. if that doesn't work go bigger/better

i believe those are on the 2003 or 2005(i cant remember) models

but those are just regular mazda protege 5's

the 2003.5 or 2005.5 have the bugs fixed

there is no 2005 unless your counting the east asia models that some how still go on. the 2003.5 has quite a bit of fixes over the original mazdaspeed. and the only recall that I can think of atm is the vics butterfly problem... grab some locktite, take it the intake manifold then locktite the screws, saves a bit.
