Matt Biondi was at his peak when I was engaged in swimming competition, therefore he is a special figure to me. Though Phelps and others in the later generations are faster than him, they never reach the same status as Biondi's in my mind.
@lostinxlation Biondi was the reason I never pursued swimming as a kid. I just thought I would never grow tall enough. I thought anyone under 6'4 was about as smart as a short white guy dreaming of the NBA. Now, guys like Eamon Sullivan show up and make me regret it. I think Bousquet is only 6'2. Amazing, and I am glad I was wrong.
@ThereIsNoDarkSky Mat is your teacher? God what a small world. I swam with Mat in high school. I remember him quallifying for the Olympics in our senior year at Northcoast. The whole team knew we where watching history unfolding right before our very eyes!
I know Matt Biondi personally. His wife and my mom are friends. I went and stayed at his house in Hawii a while back. He's the nicest guy in the world and his boys are so cute!
i am still on top baby.... was never in a hole but it seems as if y'all trying to dig one. I dont give up that easily especially when we are allowed to say whatever we want to. stop wasting your time Brokenbriton.. just chill
Yes you are still on top-in your own deluded mind. Its actually really comical watching you trying to defend the undefendable but i'm afraid to inform you that your hole is now too deep to get out of- you're stuck there for good!
Come on-just admit you made a mistake-i promise that it wont kill you.

Thanks for the correction, however, you really have a big problem as my comments were never to you. Your arrogance reminds me of Hitler. You comment on the unnecessary and start major controversies.

Look in the mirror honey and you will see the retard staring back. Why dont you exert all that anger and energy in going back to school to get your GED. Macdonald is waiting on you to clean their toilets!!!
Look buddy-you made a major fuck up by confusing Biondi with Louganis. Instead of spitting your dummy and getting all defensive, please just take the shame and move on. Thanks in advance.
Look-i really don't know why you are trying to fight this- you really aren't helping your cause. Instead of having a go at everyone, just acknowledge your mistake and you may yet be able to climb out of the hole you've dug for yourself.
he's the best! i remember my dad telling me about him while we were driving home from one of my swim meets. someday i hope to as successful as he was and go to the Olympics
I clearly remember him. I'm Korean. 1988 Seoul Olimpic means his heyday. A lot of Korean people are still so curious about his today. Somebody told me he retired when young and then became a school teacher after since. He's the greatest Olimpic star for Korean. He must be in his early forties... We miss him so much.
Matt was the 10th pixel from the left, 26th pixel from the top.

This guy was and to me still is the best ever. I enjoyed watching him in every event. Remember when he hit his head on the spring board!!!

You're an idiot. It was Greg Louganis who hit his head. Have so much respect for Louganis, but Biondi was just above anything - brilliant
