  • @ATrivialGirl ikr this is the 5th song and everyones is super low volume

  • E = mc² ??????

  • i wana find that person who disliked it and hit him with some Beethoven across the face -__-

  • I don't understand how anyone can dislike this piece x_x; it's just epic and fucking amazing

  • All epic moments in life sound like this. Known fact.

  • My dad used to have this on vinyl- the first time i used an old record player was to play this- My sister and I used to turn the volume right up then hold hands and spin each other round and round like in a ceilidh until we spun out of control and crashed to the floor or nearest chair. Brings back hilarious memories :D

  • Free replay button. --> 0:00

  • putain tro bo

  • I love to turn up the volumen when it gets faster

  • peer gynt wrote this but who cares

  • @norrisality Idiot. Peer Gynt is the name of the ballet piece, not the author. It's like saying that Arthur C. Doyle was written by Sherlock Holmes

  • @leichenweich no u stupid idiot the name of the ballet piece is in the hall of the mountain king the composer is peer gynt the maestro is edvard grieg and really every damn idiot on this planet knows that sherlock holmes is a ficitional character

  • @norrisality I'm not going to argue about something a 2-second google search can prove. I wish you a pleasant rest of your life in a world full of fictional characters.

  • @norrisality I hope you're trolling.

  • @norrisality except for you :D

  • What? Peer Gynt is the play, Per Gynt is the fairytale that was the loose basis for the play. Henrik Ibsen is the writer of Peer Gynt.

In the Hall of the Mountain King was written for Peer Gynt, it was composed by Edvard Grieg (who actually hated the song). I'm not sure when this was recorded but let's say the 90s in which case the maestro would be Ondrej Lenard the conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic.

Does that clear things up for you?

  • There is a certain genius who has been reincarnating a few times. He has appeared as Grieg, Einstein, and Mark Twain. ;)

  • Popping his collar cause he is a boss

  • I can't even help it, but I'm moved to tears at the tempo change xD It's completely autonomic. It makes me feel like such a dork :P

  • I always think of doing something mischievous when I listen to this >=D

  • AMAAAZING!!!!! I love Grieg he deserves to be much more famous

  • I love the change in tempo, its like no, no, no, no, SHIT! RUUUN!

  • i used to dance to this in my playpen when i was a lil' baby ^-^ hehe ... and i still have the cassette tape ... wow ... even typing the words "cassette tape" makes me feel EXTREMELY old :P

  • I love this song, I first heard at the crow part in Kiki's Delivery Service on video. But then I got the DVD version and Disney cut that song out and a whole bunch of other songs. Plus they deleted some of the words they said and they replaced some music at parts with this crappy new synthesised sounds, but the 2003 version of Kiki's Delivery Service was kept the same.

  • Classical music, I have heard of his purpose and story of making this music

  • it sounds like pitapitapitabreadpitapitapitabread over and over again :L:L:L

  • he looks like einstein!

  • I want that mustache!!

  • This makes me remember alton towers!

Great times on the run away train, the hex, and the log floom

  • lol, yeah he looks a lot like einstein , and this music does sound nutcracker-esque

  • was this song in The Nutcracker?

  • Nah, I think Nutcracker was purely Tchaikovskji's work.

  • this was in the play Per Gynt

  • i think so, but im not sure.

  • it was however the song of "peter and the wolf"

  • First time I ever saw a picture of him I thought it was Einstein.. XD

though really it is easy to see the resemblance

pardon the spelling I'm tired heh

  • @GNRfanwoot Because he's the Einstein of music xD

  • @GNRfanwoot yeah your right , he is similar to einstein, i think....

  • wtf you fails at music

  • He wasn't German, and he wasn't Finnish. He was born in Norway.

  • norweigen then, i knew he was scandanavian

  • @Bronwen68 True :) And he was a hell-ova guy! Not especialy tall, but with a brat mind and a huge love for music, for you have to have those traits to make such marvelous music as this piece :)

  • "M"... Fritz Lang... Peter Lorre... :)

  • I love this song!!

  • nice ^^

  • this is soooooooooo wonderful. I can feel all the emotions. (exuse my spell, I'm from sweden). I love it !

  • Might be Grieg's only good piece.

  • hahahaha! wath the fuck!?!? are you braindead! haha, your ignorance betrays you.

  • I exaggerated :P . Grieg have done other good pieces. However, I don't like most of his music. Ave maris stella, Sabeldans etc...

I do wonder how my "ignorance" can "betray" me though.

  • Fantastische Musik. Ich liebe Grieg´s Musik.

  • it almost seems like they started too fast and ended too slow, but good nonetheless

  • Grieg and Tschaikovsky were my first favorites as a kid. Magical.
