I was going to refute Morgan Freeman's character's statement that ending John Doe would be justifiable if he was literally the Devil, because humans can be more depraved than anything attributed to the Devil.
I remember feeling as if I was hearing and seeing things I'd never been exposed to during this scene.
The music. The screaming and arguing. The lighting. The sexual butchery.
I just get the chills every time Freeman and Pitt travel down that filthy red hall as the music grinds and the "fucks" are screamed. And then when they enter the room. It's just surreal.
Also, 2:03-2:10. Nihilistic as fuck. I get the chills here too.
That has to be the single-most disturbingly, horrific, haunting and traumatizing scene I have ever seen in a movie. Witnessing the complete annihilation of a persons mind is just.... >.<
To John Doe the blond prostitute but most importantly her clients represented lust. The guy who had to use the strap-on will most likely never have sex again and he is in for some major counseling before he can sleep at night. She died for her sins, he will live with horrible memories...

He never really shows you the acts- You see the aftermath, the inflicted trauma on his victims and that is the true horror of it all, because the human mind is fragile and to think that this is the world we live in and that this could potentially happen to any of us-- I mean, it's enough to keep you awake at night. it haunts you. O.o
I hate this part, but at the same time I really love the actor who plays the poor guy that had to wear that thing and use it on the girl. He's so believably freaked out. I feel so bad for him.
@hchano very true. He is really a brilliant actor. I have seen him in movies like Bone collector and alien resurrection. He plays his roles flawlessly. In my opinion - one of the few underrated actors in the hollywood .
