What's with the Xymox wiki war? I hear Ronny is blocked 9 times for vandalizing Xymox wiki page and also for sockpuppeting as wiki-user 'Knowitall". he keep on deleting Anka and Pieter's name from the xymox page and wiki keeps banning him for removing them. Why does he want to delete A&P? Was a bad break up? Xymox was best when they were in it. Its all on wiki Xymox article history page. I hear there is internet article written about the war, does anyone know where I can find it?
I saw that article - "Xymox history according to Ronny Moorings" sure is different to the official Wiki version... Not the first time Moorings has claimed to be a "solo" artist either... Sad man, sad.
In Alternation magazine Ronny Moorings claims he made 'Twist of Shadows' "entirely independently, without the rest of the musicians who were then on vacation". ?????? This is ridiculous. In fact, it's probably libelous. I wonder if the other band members have seen this interview?? Truly incredible.

i was born in the 70s and was grown and in college when this track came out. Imagination was one of those songs that i played in college, but rarely did anyone i know recognize the song or the group..well maybe one person, but anyway, If you weren't part of the industry in the 80s, or one of the hipsters, this wasn't one you'd hear on top 40 fm at least where i grew up. This was the first i heard from Xymox and went on to collect all the Xymox and Clan of Xymox stuff..great stuff.
@unknownmathew22 There US record label of the time WING/Polydor own the rights and want big $ to release it to COX if they haven't deleted it from their records.
I was born in 84, so I didn't really get to experience the 80s. But I can agree that music has went completely downhill since I would say about mid to late 90s. It's all about the Biebers the Mileys these days. With only a handful of artists that are remotely promising. That said, thanks for posting this video. It really reminds me of happy times.
Se dico che questa era vera musica, i metallari si incazzano. Ma io ascolto anche il metal. E i new-wavers si incazzano. E allora dico... datevi fuoco tutti. Questa canzone è un capolavoro.
When I hear a climatic song like this, I just ease back in my chair and soak up the beauty of the audio moving me. Pure dead brilliant, they don't make music anymore. I hope on my way to Heaven, songs like this are the soundtrack to my path.
2000s suck this century will be noted as the killer of music, the only good music left in this era is Heavy metal that too is underground and confined to a sub culture and seen by mainstreamers as music for the bad people, goth music and Darkwave is also Underground so basically underground cultures are the safe houses for music these days
Everything else is faggy and whorish corporate controlled pop
In 1984, my sophomore year of high school, I ended up living in England for 2 months. Best 2 months of my life. While there I learned about Xymox, the Cure, saw the Smiths, partied w/ OMD ... a lifetime during a summer. Amazing.
Timeless magic from a band in their prime. Sad that Anke and Peter are still not part of COX....the original line up of Ronny, Anke and Peter was nothing short of astonishing!
haha...typical speech... You say that 'cause you don't seek the right bands. I think the 90's is one of the best ages of alternative music. anyway...Clan of Xymox, they rock !
Anka Wolbert came out as a lesbian and left Ronny Moorings for a girl, that's why Ronny hates her so much. Oh boy, oh boy, some girl satisfied Anka better than Ronny could! Poor Ronny. :)

Hi, IM writing from Mexico City born in 70's i like all kind of music but Clan of Xymox is in my opinion great band, whats the matter the gender is a great music feel and projection the 80's made a cool fusions til the new wave, dark, goth etc all kind of music created with the soul is wonderful, great words friend
@carterharrington Were so quick to judge other generations. I grew up in the 90s and I love the 80s for what it was worth and meant to me. Everything must change but everyone experience the same emotions and will experience the nostalgia as they get older. I just accept 2000 generation for who they are and hey everyone as to get older sooner and later.... Every generation has something special ..
@carterharrington wow, I was born in the 80's but that's exactly how I also feel. You've totally captured the very thing that makes people either love or hate 80's music. It's innocent rawness is the thing that lures and taunts, and also the very thing that disgusts and raises the hair of people who can't stand it.
@carterharrington That's the feeling we all share. A lot of 90's born people feel nostalgia for a time they never lived. Also a lot of 80's songs can be called 'the soundtrack' of some episodes of my childhood. They bring me sightings and feelings of the house I grew in.
@carterharrington That s so totally true. I saw them summer 1990 in Houston. I was born in 71 and i love the 80s music scene. For me now, it is innocence lost...My heroes becoming old men...
@carterharrington i know exactly what you mean, it might not be right, but there was just something so unique and creative about 80's music, even the fuckin pop, its like once the decade phased into the 90's it all went.....
@carterharrington I have never heard a better way of explaining this. I was also born Post - 80's, and yet have this same feeling for the music. Thank you.
you´re all welcome .. many of you were not born still in our 80 decade but you could keep that will with you and take him to the future.. just as me keeps the adventure and the awesome stuff from the sixties that I didn´t live for having only been born in 1970.
@jauniena666 I completely agree with that! I'm 23 and constantly wish I could go back to the "real" years of Gothic music. I missed it all and I love French Coldwave as well, and I missed that too.. :(
the longer version is even better, this one is too short.

I feel sorry, truly sorry for anyone that missed that 80's. I even know teenagers that wished they were born earlier!

Great band, but I prefer the music under Clan of Xymox :) Rony Moorings is a great singer

Love this track... should've been a worldwide no. 1. The album version is longer than this edited version. Thanks for posting the video

Nice song, the sound of the end of the 80's - makes me sad ... wish there was still music like this.

My friend dated the bass player. Went to Six Flags in Arlington Tx with him circa 1990.
