Firefly in Castle

I'm up to episode 19 of season 2 and I swear there are a few that I've seen that are missing from this and other lists of the firefly references of Castle. I'll have to double check though. If only I had the time.

I think Nathan really misses Firefly. FYI a fan of firefly wanted a Brown Coat exactly's like Malcolm Reynolds had in the show. So he asked the same Taylor who made the coat for Mal to make one for him. When this fan called to check if the Coat was finished the Taylor told him that Nathan took the coat to film an episode of Castle. Hence the Coat is brand new and an exact same replica. I guess no one else can wear that Brown Coat like Captain Tight Pants.

@demoniosolitario I would be more inclined to believe this little anecdote if your spelling matched up to your meaning. I'm assuming you mean a tailor: a person who is in the occupation of making, mending, or altering of clothes. It also does not need to be capitalized.

OMG!!!! When i saw that Space Cowboy episode of Castle, I nearly fell out of my bed when i saw that "Brown Coat" i was so excited. I mean i knew they threw inlittle references to Firefly in Castle but the whole Mal Reynolds look? I was very excited. :)

I loved the part where he dresses up like Malcolm, and the girl says "Didn't you do that 5 years ago? Don't you think its time to move on?", and he responds with "But I liked it...". Nathan Fillion (the actor) described Firefly as "Hands down the best job I've ever had" and talks about how he missed the cast and everything.... Damn typing this makes me miss the show SO MUCH.

Nicely done. I don't watch Castle 'cause I still miss Firefly and Drive too much. I'm so glad to see that Firefly references are worked in. Loved to see Fillion dressing up as a Browncoat; also talking Chinese.

The enginepart is from the ep of Firefly where Mal gets shot, and think back on how he got Serenity and met his crew.
