  • One thing this shredder wont shred........CHUCK NORRIS!

  • NOO! the coins!, Wait... Can i get them now?

  • 0:40 LOL @ THE CRT IMPLODING

  • Guess it was a little more challenging than the pumpkins, but not much. :-|

  • I rarely comment... In fact I believe you may be the first.. but wtf..

  • So many video game hipsters in these comments...

  • What a bunch of dumbasses the people that destroyed this game are. That game even had the monitor still in it - could have been saved and restored or it's parts used to bring another game back to life.

  • Can you shredder a dance dance revolution machine ? pleaaaaaaaaaaaasee

  • The shredder plays arcade now.

  • GAME OVER !!!

  • 214 nerds cried watching this

  • beybey astroids.

  • WAIT! .... MY CHILDHOOD! NOOOOO!!!!

  • ):<

  • Asteroids sucked anyway.

  • It's all fun and games when it's cars and refrigerators until somebody starts shredding an arcade machine.

  • How could you destroy such a thing? D:

  • I hope that machine was a waterlogged inoperative mess before they gave it to maimzilla there.

  • Mad nerds are mad. hahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • They did themselves a disservice really. They could have at least sold it...maybe not for what it was worth working (or even broke). But they'd at least have saved it and made some money. There are people willing to put more money than they're worth into fixing these old consoles.

  • That was stoopid

  • should have bundled up a bunch of xbox 360s together with rubber bands instead

  • @nicktonic They'd probably red ring the shredder.

  • Well somebody did use it for there own enjoyment! The people who shredded it really enjoyed watching it get ate up!LOL!

  • NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo

  • *Pac Man Death sound effect?* ok; i'll be quiet now. :-(B

  • GAME OVER!

  • LOL @ the game freaks cryin! ..... but still i bet you just shreded about £7000 /£20,000 pound

  • Poor arcade machine. They could give to me.. = (

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Why would they do that!

  • Got to love seeing Old Scrap being crushed.

I'd imagine many a house wife is happy that their husband cannot drag that crap into the garage.

  • wtf this has value !!!!!!!!

  • I just lol'd at the people who criticise them for shredding an arcade game.

  • Don't shred all the quarters still inside ...

  • Why don't we shred you guys

  • 99% wood

    1% electronics

  • i like how the claw goes to sleep on the tyre at the end. he's a hard worker

  • It was probably worth $1000s to the right geek. But it was destroyed fun fun as it is of no value to the rest of us.

  • Shred a Monster Truck

  • The shredder only did half the job, if that. The claw gripping the arcade game and then dropping it from such a high height was enough to make it too easy for such a powerful shredder. Next time let the shredder do *all* the work.

  • You bastards.

  • put justin bieber in there next!

  • I hope they made sure all the quarters were out of the machine

  • f'n retards! I would have paid good money to have this in my home!! Even if it didn't work.

  • :'-(

  • why do they always have that nice camera there on the boom but never actually use any footage from it?

  • @LineRiderPro333 that was my question lol, they got a jibe and shoulders cameras but... why?

  • i wonder if it could shred that claw machine

  • i wonder if it could shred that claw machine

  • this would make a great show. Buy it, or Shred it?

  • nnnnnnnoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NO !!!

  • @maltadude LMFAO, MAN! XD

  • Shred an Allen organ!

  • will it blend? that is the question

    du du du du duuun

  • :( only big shredder video I dont like!

    BAD SSI BAD!

(love the comments! hahaha) well got to page 8 and I think 3 comments were for the 'who cares' and rest for the 'ZOMG WTF OMG r u serious?!' group. Damn, considering the comments you should of just threw that sucker on Ebay and make some money...what the hell am I saying, you guys are sitting on $50+ million hahhaha

  • Also, THEY AREN'T THAT RARE, srsly, my uncle's friend has a small warehouse full of them. I've been there.

  • @RevengeofGothzilla Even though it doesn't have much monetary value, it still has sentimental value. Not only do some people fix these, but some even make furniture out of these things when the electronics can't be salvaged.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I will have nightmares the rest of my life!!! WHY???? T_T

  • noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats one big claw game but sadly the ASTEROIDS game was the only prize.

  • Um that thing was probably worth a few thousand dollars... at least give it away to someone who wants it or collects them or needs the money

  • Shredding an Asteroids is effing stupid. And that one was in nice shape.

Show us a video "Shredding money" and then all you guys toss your wallets in there. Shredding an Asteroids is like that.... throwing away money.

  • Asteroids was my fave game. It could be played to infinity on one 10p coz after a certain point the levels never got any harder. The score went back to zero when you got a million points so the trick was to leave a high score by committing suicide at 99990, then nobody could beat your score. Wonder why I had to resit my A levels???

  • Game over

  • it fell apart before it got in the machine

    that game was busted

  • WHYYYYYY

  • No thats not fare. Thats not fair.

  • Well thats one way to keep your kids from playing video games.

  • Why don't we just light a match to a $100 bill. Would have been smarter. Next time you shred something like this give me a call. I will pay you money for this stuff working or not.

  • I would have paid you money for that cabinet. But not now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonder what happened to the footage from the jib camera?

  • lol.. carefully.. carefully!.. now.. DROP IT IN THE SHREDDER!

  • wow, so much wood. no wonder the graphics was so primitive back then. they should have used integrated circuits instead!

  • lol it broke before the shreder can even try!!!! this dose not count...

  • ahh man that hurts my feelings to arcade games

  • its still fix able.... or maybe not

  • Omg some game referber is crawling outa there skin right now!

  • My god you guys put some stupid things through that shredder, Jesus... Do you have any idea how much some people would've paid for one of those, even in non working condition?

    Incredible.

  • nooooooooooooooooooo

  • what the hell guys that could of gone in my room, you wasters

  • LOL it dosent need a shredder to com apart

  • if you done like seeing people wasting stuff like this.. go to the greenpeace youtube account n watch thier video's!!

if you like seeing this waste (LIKE I DO) then sub to these guys :D this is great keep up the good work (shredding) :D!!

  • @0oemo0oguyo0o0 they recycle the shredded stuf, they dont waste anything

  • Bad decision on destroying those

  • damn dude...please dont do anymore arcade or pinball machines

  • Wanker.

  • what a waste :(

  • @MRINTERDOG Ever thing processed through the shredder is broken....

  • Broken yes, but it still should of been sold. I'm sure someone out there would of paid for it, because even the case is worth money. Nice job Shred it!

  • Back in middle school my friend had one that didn't work in his basement. We hid liquor inside of it :) His parents never suspected it and only he had the key to open it up.

  • i wonder what would happen to the back ho claw lol

  • i bet that guy is very good at the claw game XD

  • What a DUMB thing to do! Should have SOLD or gave it away as is - not destroy one of the few remaining bits of nostalgia!

  • Yeah, even if the game no longer works, I'll bet somebody could have used the cabinet or the internal parts. What a waste.

  • @logik316

It will be a cabinet. They recycle this shit.

  • @logik316

the thing was as powerfull as a atari....

  • Tell me about it. working ones are worth a couple of thousand. So a collector would have bound to have bought it in an attempt to fix it.

Even if it was beyond repair A PC could have been fitted in the cabinet for classic arcade emulation.

  • @itscloser It was already broke.

  • @dsidewd You're missing the point. It was salvageable as memorabilia, whatever was left of it before it was STUPIDLY destroyed.

  • @itscloser Quit whining and enjoy the shredding. If it ends up at SSI then its at ABSOLUTE END of its lifespan. It was probably flood-damaged. Meaning the electronics were fried and the cabinet was warped and rotten, meaning the game was useless and nothing was salvageable.

  • @itscloser LMAO! u guys rule!!

  • @itscloser damn, relax. its just a game!

  • @itscloser Asteroids wasn't a very good game to begin with...

  • I'd shoot someone if I caught them doing this. :(

  • Better yet, throw them in when they aren't looking.

  • did you all remember to empty the credits before shredding the currency?

  • Makes delicious burgers out of whole cows. Mmmmm

  • High Score my ass

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :'(

    that sucked :(

just put it in ur house for looks man! :o

    dont just destroy it :s

  • NNNOOOOOO!!!! WHY!?!?!

  • aw man. even if it didn't work, i'd put that in my house just for looks.

  • shame shame.

  • murderers !!!

  • Asteroids smoke, don't breathe this.

  • lol

  • What's next...Defender and Pac Man?

  • YOU COULDN'T FIX IT?! Those are hard to come by!

  • If the circuit board was shot (and it probably was given how old those machines are) then it was a lost cause. Bet that screen was ruined from burn-in too.

They're not really that rare either, greedy online sellers just jack up the prices because of the retro factor.

  • yeah, but what about the original cabinet?

    many people would want one!

  • Lead dust is great for your health

  • that arcade broke before it even landed in the mouth of the shredder -_-

  • thats good for that piece of shit game

  • i agree

  • how could you...

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!

  • haha...all the video game nerds down-rated this vid

  • The musulms would love this.

"Watch it shred infidels, christians, and jews".

  • Damn... That's awful.

  • dang i like thism game 2 soo sad ;(lol

  • NOO! ASTEROIDS!!!

    RIP= Rest In Pieces

  • I am APALLED!!!!!!

  • You shreded a potential collector's item for an arcade?! You maniac! You shreded it!

  • BOO that could have been a perfectly good mame cabinet

  • What a shame

  • LET THEM THERE KEYBOARD WARRIORS FIGHT ON..

    ..that's what I say.

  • lol nerd fight

  • Really STUPID! Asteroids go for about $800-$1300 in USA and $2K+ in Europe. What is the point of destroying things like this???

  • They just shredded a potential collectors item

  • Comment removed

  • :( That should have been sold and repaired

  • How to kill the Grandpa of Games ç_ç

    What a bastard ç_ç

  • Bumber, I would have bought it. Or traded the remains of my motorhome to shred in it. Could use one of those shredders on my land. Feed solicitors and politicians to it!

  • That's "Game Over" for sure... Hahaha! :)

  • blah

  • seeing as u have alot of money to just throw around shred a veyron, i dare u in fact i double dare u mother f.... ill stop there.

  • how could you!!

  • You guys are idiots.. you know what one of those machines is worth these days and how rare it is you could have made a lot of money off it..

  • yeah i get the feeling this crew isn't the sharpest meatball on the wedding cake, if you get me...

  • wtf kind of wedding cakes are u eating?

  • xD LOL

  • For once a utube comment actually made me luagh

  • i was just about to say that lmao

  • @cageboyes When you pick up something with a machine that probably costs $100,000 or more who cares if the thing is collectible. Shred it...

  • @cageboyes It was already broken

  • @cageboyes their company probably has so much money that they dont care?

  • Ouuuuuch, dont do such things to classic arcades :(

  • So what does SSI stand for? Stupid, Sensless, Idiots. you wrecked a good classical piece. Dumbass Rednecks

  • You guys are assholes destroying historical pieces. Stupid redneck company.

  • Your a moron it was broke, Douche

  • Who's the moron, lol? That "broke" machine can "fix rite up" with someone with even half a brain, which you fail to achieve.

  • Depends how its broken really doesn't it. If its one loose connection yeah thats easy to fix. But if its a major part thats gone and theres no replacement available then what can you do. Leave it standing around as a broken arcade game so you can look at it and say wow that worked once.

  • Respectfully speaking, with today's technology you can "rig" it with a replacement part quite easily. Its just a shame to destroy something that attained iconic status in 1979/80 that was an original. TC

  • Isn'tt necessarily that easy though is it. The company I work for back home has an original Sega manx TT machine as part of there stock they rent out. It broke and the only way they found to fix it, without paying a hell of a lot more than it was worth for repairs, was to buy another not working manx TT and cannibalise the parts directly from that. And that was still a huge job. And ended up with one machine that had to be thrown away.

I get what your saying, but its simple economics really

  • likewise :)

  • The whole thing could have been used. The working parts could have been taken and used in a working game, the cabinet could have been used as a replacement or a MAME, and the broken parts could be reduced to materials.

  • But that isn't as fun as shredding.

  • You, GTFO! Destruction of classic gaming is disgraceful! Parting or repairing the machine would allow you to play Asteroids. Playing Asteroids is more fun than destroying it. If you get enjoyment out of our horror, then GTFO.

  • Did you ever thing the person who owned this didn't want to pay the high amount of money to repair it? Probably could buy a new one cheaper. And who even says it was repairable?

Think before you post, and GTFO yourself.

  • Yes, but it IS partable, which would allow someone to repair theirs. If someone had a dead monitor, the one from this could have been used, or some of the components could have been used. The cabinet could have also been used for MAME. And ever still, it could have been kept as a collector's piece. GTFO to you again.

  • You really are butthurt that people are enjoying watching this scrap worthless lump of shit get shredded aren't you?

Who would want to collect this run down, non working fucked up cabinet piece of shit when they can buy a working one for half the price of restoring a broken one?

Is it really that fucking hard to understand? Jesus fucking christ, your skull is thick.

  • 1. Don't use blasphemies. Blasphemies are offensive, and I do NOT want to hear/read them.

    2. It still has good parts, which you are ignoring. The boards, power supply, monitor, and any other parts might still be good, and someone might need those parts.

    3. Nobody is enjoying this. Most others are also offended. The only one enjoying this is you, because you are a piece of shit modern gamer that despises fun classics.

    4. GTFO, n00b. Go back to playing Gaylo 3, Tears of War, and other shit.

  • LMAO...your trolling attempt is awful! Almost as terrible as this absolute shit heap that is being scrapped (to the enjoyment of thousands of Youtube viewers)

Go and pray that it went to heaven...LMFAO.

    M T3H 0LD G3MS ARE T3H G00DZ' YA I BL3VE THAT CUZ A5T3R01D5 IS T3H GUUD N N3W G3MZ R 4 THE 'N00B' I

Its 2009 now. Get the fuck out of 1979 and liven up you stupid cunt and spell like a normal person you fucking disgrace of a human being.

  • 1. Nobody is enjoying this but you, though since you are a poser, you don't even count. You could disappear from Youtube forever and it wouldn't make a difference. You might as well not even exist on Youtube. Notice how many negative comments are on this video.

    2. 2009 sucks. The '80s were better. The games of the '80s were also better. The only reason you don't enjoy them is because you have the IQ of Jimmy Carter (which is very low).

  • The game wasn't even an 80's creation. It came out in 1979. You know fuck all about classic gaming, infact I know far more about classic gaming than you. I hope you get AIDS then next time your dad rapes you, you filth.

  • When you think your life sucks nowadays, in 2009, you should consider talking to a psychiatrist, instead of bugging us with those stories how good the 80's were.

  • Ik can't believe how stupid some people are. When something is broken, you get rid of it. Unless you're a amphetamine junk who even saves his used toiletpaper. Wake up and start recycling, you idiot.

  • this is funny. two nerds duking it out for online supremacy. I personally think that vadernes is a moron, but the other guy is too for continuing this convo in the first place.

  • that was like butter

  • $1,700 machine destroyed..
