  • why had some of them cut their hair when they made electronic music? :)

  • @infinatty

they want do something different at this time.

not this typical 70's long hair flower power stuff.

so they cut hair, wear suits and make music only with electronic noises.

    Are those guys still performing?

  • @Kppot

They were performing in 2010 and there was no cancellation of Kraftwerk, so I think yes.

  • @revolutionary1948

on the official Kraftwerk site, the last concerts were in 2009 so...

please, details about there performing in 2010.

i will give everything to see them back on stage.

  • @razvanlp

There is no clue of a tour in 2011, so when you want to see them on stage, then dont lose sight of their website. As I said before, they are still existing, so its furthermore possible that they will perform again. I have no more information than the website, sorry.

  • I'm going to Germany in two weeks for the first time. I have all the Kraftwerk albums available in England but I want to get the German versions where they sing in German. If anybody could let me know which albums were released as german language versions it would be much appreciated :o)

  • @craigieboy2001 That would be Radio-Activity/Radio-Aktivität, Trans-Europe Express/Trans-Europa Express, The Man Machine/Die Mensch Maschine, Computer World/Computerwelt, Electric Café. You can get them by mailorder though, e.g. from amazon.de

  • @anorak2 many thanks for letting me know! Can't wait to get to Berlin now :o)

  • @craigieboy2001 PS "The Mix" also.

  • Florian porfavor vuelveeeeeeeeeeee

  • mmmmm

  • los padres de la música electronica

  • bad ... eh good old days

  • dit is meen ding!

  • Dieser Anschluss ist vorübergehend nicht erreichbar... who needs French philosophers when this song tells you all you need to know about the postmodern human condition? Klasse!

  • love it in deutsch

  • My favourite TRACK of Kraftwerk...ok ich bin DEUTSCHER UND ICH LIEBE DIE MUSIK VON KRAFTWERK.....

  • @JKalman, thanks for the correction. :) my geogrophy stinks :P (forgive the spelling, half asleep here...lol). you rock along with everyone who voices thier opinions and open to others opinions. :)

Gehört in jeden Musikunterricht.

  • I heard this song for the first time in 1986 and I thought it was french. I never listen to it again because it was aired on a radio broadcaster in Curazao and I live in Venezuela. After all these years now I realise it is actually... Kraftwerk!

  • I mean Western...

  • @keepup32323 & Combat242 I think I see what u 2 are discussing regarding culture and KW music...of course correct me if I am wrong. I enjoy this group because the music is SO different since I went to an African-American school in the states not to mention they are very handsome men...lol. Anyway, because of KW's music this made me want to learn more about not only Germany's culture but the other European countries including African, Asian, Spain and other cultures not of the West.

  • @werkinwoman83 Er... I thought Spain was in Europe. When you mention Europe I guess you're talking about Central Europe (Germany, France, and if you want it, the United Kingdom). Spain and Portugal ARE West Europe. No harm done, anyway.

  • there best song singing

  • Was für eine wunderschöne Melodie ab 0:16 bzw. 2:24.

  • Sung by Karl Bartos

  • If you like Kraftwerk, check out Welle Erdball. My favourite song... Deine Augen

  • @stevehyde Great band and one of the best songs

  • @goto

    Danke! :-)

  • @stevehyde Hi, cehecked this band you mentioned. They play some good electronic stuff, but, sorry, they're nothing like Kraftwerk. They play OK EBM-musik, but IMHO even the German EBM-scene offers quite some better bands... That's an opinion only, of course, but that they're not to be compared with Kraftwerk is a fact.

  • @bioLarzen I did not say they were :-)

  • @stevehyde

Hi, you didn't - true. But then why should we check that "if we like Kraftwerk"? What's the connection here then? ;)

    bio

  • @bioLarzen Only because they made a cover version of this song :-)

  • Daumen hoch für Kraftwerk!

  • Classic Kraftwerk!! I love these robots ;)

Kraftwerk fan since the early 70's....

    64m >:-)

  • =) I Like this song very much!

  • tuuuuuuuuuuuuuune!

  • my favorite band!!!

  • goto danke ;))) !!

  • From which year and album is this?

  • @BlackVegetable24 From Wikipedia, it was on their 1977 album that a short version of this was released. But you could still see that a longer version was on their 1975 album.

  • german genius

Kraftwerk doesn't move back, the world moves forward

  • @Mads1968ify

    30 years beyond . . .

That is one of Kraftwerk's best songs, and one of their only normal ones. Lol

  • lindos timbres de teclado + climä "noir" combincao perfeita.

  • So simple...yet so complex...

  • love this song so cooool..

  • absolutely great!!!!!

  • Pure Germanic elegance not the sub human crap people getting brainwashed with everyday. Germany, the land of the Gods and cultivators of true culture.

  • @Combat242 i know who i'll be supporting in the world cup

  • @Combat242 FUCKED UP RACISM

  • @Eumel71000

    Racism rule :)

  • @Combat242 the superiority of a human being is defined by its culture and regard level not by the race of course, but what you just said referring to them deeds is totally true, theyre use of eletronic sounds into art shows their advanced concepts revolutionary of music. germany today is a land of genuine pure culture (watch DWtv to know what im talkin about) and success and so many inovating ideas come off there and that what measures the capacity of a human and everyone is able to it

  • @keepup32323 You are wrong. Race produces culture, culture is nothing abstract that just appears, it is in the blood and the collective subconscious. I think it is a big difference between non European countries and the West, expect for Japan maybe. I do thank you for your answer, you seem to be honest, not a political correct coward. An intelligent person would choice Europe before Africa or Middle East. The Germanic and Anglo-Saxon world. Beauty, Glory and Divine culture. My Home.

  • @Combat242 Well culture is not born with a individual at all, he must be exposed to it by insight of parents and government and even with support by other countries. For instance think about the middle age, who had the overwhelming might over europe? the catholic church with its dogmas: heaven, limbo, hell depending on how much they paid; sure this sounds folly for a civilizated society but that time people all over europe believed so,

  • @keepup32323 but it all changed when people started to realize it was impossible, they found out the earth was round by seafares, that work and effort was the foundation of succeeded people and so came the modern age. Although many folks on the past since the mens existence did the same discoveries thousands of years before, the egyptians, chinese, greeks, arabs, hindis and all the culture and legacy passed all over these people until the roman empire. i am a teuto-brasilian and>>

  • @keepup32323 i agree that germany as well as the europe are living its very golden tide nowadays and japan, south korea too after their industrialization and to conclude my best thoughts is that these mentally developped nations should be helping the other ones whose their capacity to open new ideas is currently dazzled by some intransigent dictature or religion and that is not too hard to see.

  • 27/female, and I think they were gorgeous then and are still very good-looking older men now. Mad Respect for Kraftwerk!!! They do sound better in German:) What's up with that?

  • @rollinstrummin i agree. Ladies i think we should petition Mr. Bartos to model. :)

  • when's this from?

    I thought they hated telephones.

  • @mrsdengler this is 1986

  • Kraftwerk are Geniuses.

  • GODS 4 ever KRAFTWERK and DEPECHE MODE are 4Me the revolution

in ELEKTRIK SOUNDS MUSIK and Much more!!!!

    never forgotten this sounds!!!

    greetz Xavier

  • there's something in kraftwerk's music which touches you like no other music ever created.. i got no other explanation for it

  • @digggert Almost all 80's music, are inspired by kraftwerk

  • @digggert just listen to it and enjoy.

  • The number 1 from Kraftwerk in my head. Simply best, dont know why. Maybe the perfect sound in the song, to me the song strikes me as as sad and hopefull in same lyrics. And girls(im a man of 40), some nice boys i think hehe, but now they older. Have a good day everyone, from Johan in Malmö, Sweden!

  • @TheDsbfirst

Hi there, I am a woman of 35 an I absolutely agree! They were very good looking especially Ralf =). My God, he looks GORGEOUS!!!

    Greetings from Germany ;-)

  • Excelente!!

  • good thin I'm taking German language class in high school.

  • Kraftwerk and the Ramones are true pioneers to todays bands.

  • the epicness

  • ok?

  • a toda madre!!

  • Feelings of loneliness and a little soul amongst all the goings on and hope that a companion is to be found.

One of my favourite Kraftwerk songs :)

  • I love this song.

  • yeah ... Karl Bartos sings !

  • I don't know how I lived before I knew about this band.

  • How can somebody -not- answer to Ralf's phone calls? That person must be mad! ;o

  • oh god how old those telephones looked like this was before my birth but kraftwerk is still a good source of samples for newer acts for example JAY Z MISSY ELLIOT FERGIE COLDPLAY FRANZ FERDINAND BLACK EYED PEAS and many more used kraftwerk samples in the last 10 years
  • Some of the phones were meant to look old...

  • Ironic when they said they didn't have a phone in the Kling Klang studio, they have one each there! Mind you, none of them are saying a lot. Still my favourite band though and I just love this video.

  • lol we listened to there music in todays music lesson :D respect from germany lol

  • Youtube "Florian Schneider + Brazilian interview".

    :)

  • Kraftwerk sounds better in German.

  • @capricious71 Everything sounds better in German.

  • @capricious71 danke ! ;)))

  • @capricious71

    stimmt, klingt besser in Deutsch.

  • @capricious71 GENAU!

  • Gods. They are gods.

  • Lol 2:34 1986 Ralf Hutter invents the iPod xP jkjk xD And Florian just doesn't care.. about anything xD.

  • Ralf pwns ^_^ How Florian('s persona)...

  • me likey a lot :D

  • how does they do it? seriously, how??? they can make something annoying like a phone ringing (i hate our phone) sound absolutely amazing

  • i totally agree. these gentlemen are very talented and innovative (excuse the spelling half asleep). i just love mr. bartos' voice...it is so soothing and melodic...yes i am a fan of his and all kraftwerk members past & present. rock on my 4 handsome men from Germany. :)

  • your comment is made of germany and win

  • really? thank you. :) I live in the states & I love it when people hear KW & i get to give them a bit of history about the band.

  • Wow, just got crazy with your comment!!!!

Guess nobody can see melody behind them, and there is lots of it in them!!! And, what's more: THEY'RE SO HANDSOME!!!!! Next year I'll star to learn german because of them!!!

    Regards!!

  • this video reminds me of nena's haus der drei sonnen music video in terms of lighting, shadows, and angles

  • nena sucks

she fucked up a rammstein song and she's pretty much a foreign evanesence(who also sucks)

  • i would disagree, but its your opinion, and i cant contest that

  • which rammstein song she fucked up

  • ein leid

  • I don't think Kraftwerk take to much cre at what Nena or Rammstein do. These guys have true culture and this video it's an obvious hommage to Fritz lang, Murnau, Pabst, German directors who shoot expressionist - and not only - at the 20's, the German cinema's most influential era, before stupid Nazism ended with all that great stuff and those directors had to leave their own country. Bauhaus, Art & Craft's, UFA at their best... all that beauty is here.

  • you talk too much

  • And I see you can talk in a very concise way. That's was very instructive and constructive. Your comment looks like a western challenge. I like it because I like westerns ;)

  • this is the first time i've ever seen any-one hate kraftwerk o_o srsly

  • one of my favourite songs of kraftwerk (L)

  • thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have this on LP > Electric Cafe 1986

    Fantastic!!!!!

  • *****

  • As a 17-year-old kid in america, this sound was the stuff of dreams -- it sounded like europe, which is where me and my friends all wanted to be. (And where I'd end up moving to a few years later.) Brilliant.

Flür schwebt in anderen Sferen.

  • this is german!

  • german version is definitely better.

  • I totally agree.

  • now KRAFTWERK make a song for the Blackberry

  • da kommen erinnerunten hoch

  • A typical "Karl Bartos song" just like Tour de France 83 or Computerlove

During his solo-career he did some simular tunes like "TV" or "Cyperspace"

I deeply love all of these songs!
