@craigieboy2001 That would be Radio-Activity/Radio-Aktivität, Trans-Europe Express/Trans-Europa Express, The Man Machine/Die Mensch Maschine, Computer World/Computerwelt, Electric Café. You can get them by mailorder though, e.g. from amazon.de
Dieser Anschluss ist vorübergehend nicht erreichbar... who needs French philosophers when this song tells you all you need to know about the postmodern human condition? Klasse!
@JKalman, thanks for the correction. :) my geogrophy stinks :P (forgive the spelling, half asleep here...lol). you rock along with everyone who voices thier opinions and open to others opinions. :)
I heard this song for the first time in 1986 and I thought it was french. I never listen to it again because it was aired on a radio broadcaster in Curazao and I live in Venezuela. After all these years now I realise it is actually... Kraftwerk!
@keepup32323 & Combat242 I think I see what u 2 are discussing regarding culture and KW music...of course correct me if I am wrong. I enjoy this group because the music is SO different since I went to an African-American school in the states not to mention they are very handsome men...lol. Anyway, because of KW's music this made me want to learn more about not only Germany's culture but the other European countries including African, Asian, Spain and other cultures not of the West.

@stevehyde Hi, cehecked this band you mentioned. They play some good electronic stuff, but, sorry, they're nothing like Kraftwerk. They play OK EBM-musik, but IMHO even the German EBM-scene offers quite some better bands... That's an opinion only, of course, but that they're not to be compared with Kraftwerk is a fact.

Pure Germanic elegance not the sub human crap people getting brainwashed with everyday. Germany, the land of the Gods and cultivators of true culture.
@Combat242 the superiority of a human being is defined by its culture and regard level not by the race of course, but what you just said referring to them deeds is totally true, theyre use of eletronic sounds into art shows their advanced concepts revolutionary of music. germany today is a land of genuine pure culture (watch DWtv to know what im talkin about) and success and so many inovating ideas come off there and that what measures the capacity of a human and everyone is able to it
@keepup32323 You are wrong. Race produces culture, culture is nothing abstract that just appears, it is in the blood and the collective subconscious. An intelligent person would choice Europe before Africa or Middle East. The Germanic and Anglo-Saxon world. Beauty, Glory and Divine culture. My Home.
@Combat242 Well culture is not born with a individual at all, he must be exposed to it by insight of parents and government and even with support by other countries. For instance think about the middle age, who had the overwhelming might over europe? the catholic church with its dogmas: heaven, limbo, hell depending on how much they paid; sure this sounds folly for a civilizated society but that time people all over europe believed so,
@keepup32323 but it all changed when people started to realize it was impossible, they found out the earth was round by seafares, that work and effort was the foundation of succeeded people and so came the modern age. @keepup32323 i agree that germany as well as the europe are living its very golden tide nowadays and japan, south korea too after their industrialization and to conclude my best thoughts is that these mentally developped nations should be helping the other ones whose their capacity to open new ideas is currently dazzled by some intransigent dictature or religion and that is not too hard to see.
27/female, and I think they were gorgeous then and are still very good-looking older men now. Mad Respect for Kraftwerk!!! They do sound better in German:) What's up with that?
The number 1 from Kraftwerk in my head. Simply best, dont know why. Maybe the perfect sound in the song, to me the song strikes me as as sad and hopefull in same lyrics. And girls(im a man of 40), some nice boys i think hehe, but now they older. Have a good day everyone, from Johan in Malmö, Sweden!

oh god how old those telephones looked like this was before my birth but kraftwerk is still a good source of samples for newer acts for example JAY Z MISSY ELLIOT FERGIE COLDPLAY FRANZ FERDINAND BLACK EYED PEAS and many more used kraftwerk samples in the last 10 years
Ironic when they said they didn't have a phone in the Kling Klang studio, they have one each there! Mind you, none of them are saying a lot. Still my favourite band though and I just love this video.
i totally agree. these gentlemen are very talented and innovative (excuse the spelling half asleep). i just love mr. bartos' voice...it is so soothing and melodic...yes i am a fan of his and all kraftwerk members past & present. rock on my 4 handsome men from Germany. :)

I don't think Kraftwerk take to much cre at what Nena or Rammstein do. These guys have true culture and this video it's an obvious hommage to Fritz lang, Murnau, Pabst, German directors who shoot expressionist - and not only - at the 20's, the German cinema's most influential era, before stupid Nazism ended with all that great stuff and those directors had to leave their own country. Bauhaus, Art & Craft's, UFA at their best... all that beauty is here.
And I see you can talk in a very concise way. That's was very instructive and constructive. Your comment looks like a western challenge. I like it because I like westerns ;)
As a 17-year-old kid in america, this sound was the stuff of dreams -- it sounded like europe, which is where me and my friends all wanted to be. (And where I'd end up moving to a few years later.) Brilliant.
Flür schwebt in anderen Sferen.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Gotta love this song. While I slightly prefer the tribute Welle: Erdball made (which is very, very close to the original, yet a bit more danceable), this one has it's very own charme as well. Really relaxing, yet sad at the same time.

Gotta love this song. While I slightly prefer the tribute Welle: Erdball made (which is very, very close to the original, yet a bit more danceable), this one has it's very own charme as well. Really relaxing, yet sad at the same time.

A typical "Karl Bartos song" just like Tour de France 83 or Computerlove
During his solo-career he did some simular tunes like "TV" or "Cyperspace"
I deeply love all of these songs!
