I have a couple of thoughts to add to this. 1) I don't believe that MOST people use only logic when they make decisions, its a factor but more people use their feelings more than logic in what they decide (especially women) 2) Cognitive Dissonance is a principle of psychology and an explanation to how and why people deceive themselves, create blind spots and are bias to opposing evidence against their beliefs 3)Most Humans are not creative or critical thinkers. 1. The shape (sphere) and position of the earth can be found in Job 26:7
2.Genesis 7:11 the word fountains means springs (springs in the oceans) a recent scientific discovery
3.Ecclesiastes 1:6 describes the circuits of the wind later proven true by a French mathematician named Coeriolis, who died in 1843

As I age I've noticed that I for some reason find it harder and harder not to treat religious convictions as insanity. After all, where it not for a flimsy veil of cultural conditioning we would probably at some point in time have added horror treatmements of religious people to the atrocities commited by the evolving branch of psychiatry. The problem with this is that christians think that life without god or a "higher purpose" is a horribly depressing idea, when it actually is the opposite. I have a couple of thoughts to add to this. 1) I don't believe that MOST people use only logic when they make decisions, its a factor but more people use their feelings more than logic in what they decide (especially women) 2) Cognitive Dissonance is a principle of psychology and an explanation to how and why people deceive themselves, create blind spots and are bias to opposing evidence against their beliefs 3)Most Humans are not creative or critical thinkers. Just some thoughts...

oh and some parts of the bible can be proven now.. yes baptizim is great but you also have to receive the holy ghost to make God a complete part of your life..and another thing is that in the old testament everyone was under law.. up until Jesus came then grace took the place of law.. for instance during the time of Moses the people wanted "law" so God gave it to them that is why it was so harsh to kill this and that.. that way everyone would remain upright before God..
