@ELM0TH It was all I could think of when I saw how bloody fast they were moving! You can't really tell in the footage, but I've never seen anything like it.
Yeah it was pretty intense. We ended up with one of the sky lights leaking slightly, so ended up on the roof around 7pm last night putting a tarp over the sky light. That stopped the water.
@LanethSffarlenn Got the tarp done in a gap of the weather, thankfully it was a very small leak. We have a large amount of tree debris down on the ground now. We have flat metal roof, so you can imagine the noise it made.
Laneth! I had you in my thoughts when I heard a Melbourne storm was raging. So glad the only damage is a cracked window thus far, which your home owners insurance should cover although the repairs may take longer than usual. I'm still packing & trying to maintain. Stay in touch! :-)
@LuceStulz Thanks Luce, yeah everything is gonna be fine with the window and the storms seem to have stopped here. Our storms tend to smash us then leave and rarely do they stick around.
Thanks for posting after my x-mas lunch I came home & tracked these storms all afternoon on radar It was awesome, We didn't get hail here In Ouyen but we got a couple of hours of rain, thunder & lightning & there's nothing like sitting out the back on x-mas night watching a good storm.
@littleweirdguy Yeah, it was bad all over the place :S Matt (DarkMessiah24) was flooded and Tannah lost several windows. The ferocity was just absolutely incredible!
It was amazing! We had massive hail where I was, but it wasn't really that windy. lol did you know there was a tornado out by Baccus Marsh? Cah-razy stuff.
@FreedomForOrcas Only a cracked window, so we got off lightly compared to some folks.
I had heard that there were tornado warnings and one was sighted! I am SO disappointed I didn't get to see it. Crazy as that sounds, I want to see one one day...
Absolutely LOVE watching storm clouds! That was crazy! So LOUD! Glad it was only one window. What kind of rooftop do you have? Hail like that can mess up your roof as well!
@dtmomoftwo Me too! It was a LOT louder in person, listening to the hail smash into the windows - I'm actually surprised we didn't get more cracked windows / holes in them.
I've got ceramic tiles which are pretty damn thick. If the windows of my house only cracked, I'm certain the tiles will be fine. :)
Wow. Wasn't expecting that! Thanks for sharing because it didn't get that bad in Caulfield where my parents and I were having Christmas dinner, and I didn't see any crazy hail when I got home in Vermont!
I trust you boys are alright, if not a little shaken? But yeah, interesting perspective. Thanks for catching it on camera
@tenty Yeah, we're fine. I absolutely love storms and this was exhilarating! Granted, however, gaining a cracked window didn't really mean it ended all that well...
All Hail Christmas! ^___^

@Arthur40TwoDent Had it stopped by 7 for you? We had storms throughout the night, but the severity was greatly reduced.
Glad you were able to tarp up the leak :S

@casperblackcat1975 I remember sitting in my garage watching a storm roll over on new years a couple of years back, but this was much more intense!
Glad you guys missed the hail, it's done a lot of damage across the city :S
Thanks for watching :)

friends place in Eltham had a river running through their backyard, and water seeping into the house. Everyone had the towels to mop it up
