I think I figured out what the problem with the intro is..

I was playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on my PS2 the other day and I remembered this YouTube video, I got to Skorne and the intro was in fact a bit different than this one. I went into the description of this video and looked at the walkthrough and sure enough it was the same as this video, but I noticed something.. The walkthrough that the person had posted was a walkthrough of the Gamecube version of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and not the PS2

@SMWMusics So all in all, I think that the PS2 version has a different intro than the Gamecube Version. This video here is the Gamecube version.

@SMWMusics this version here is the PS2 version since I recorded it directly from a PS2. so that would mean they used the gamecube version on the PS2 .

@SKnight8046 hehehe thanks, I put my copy up first but Josh has a better quality copy, mine has a jump at the beginning. You can only notice it if you listen to this copy then Josh's copy. If I see another copy of the game I WILL buy it :3.

well let me reword that.. I put up my copy of this version with the intro fanfare first! :3. I'm not claiming I put up the song in general first. Since all I could find before were copies of the song without the intro fanfare. It's just a shame mine has that jump in it. Though I don't mind people downloading and sharing it :)

@PublicBenemyNum1 the fanfare isn't cut off. this is exactly how it sounds in the game since i recorded it directly from the game. Can't get any better than this.

@PublicBenemyNum1 yes it plays longer and fades out, the game makers probably made it that way since it is how it plays in the level. No editting what so ever was done to it.

And yes I think it would be possible to remix this. :).

best use of pipe organ evar. i remember, at one point, i had completely memorized every aspect of this game and had gotten all of the secret characters. after that i went all stoopid and traded it in.

Thanks a whole lot for adding the intro fanfare to this! ive been looking everywhere for that on YouTube! this was one of my most FAVORITE final boss battle themes next to Link vs Ganondorf in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and the Zeus battle in God of War III

I too searched high and low on youtube for a version with it but aparantly the soundtrack CD had the music without it and that was the version everyone else had uploaded.
