Layne was a beautiful and awesomely talented, yet obviously tortured man. His voice and harmonizing w/ Cantrell was beyond compare, and AIC was such a huge part of what is, in my opinion, some of the best music that's ever existed and probably ever will.

Layne was an incredible talent.... He was an original, a truly unique sound coming out of a city with so much energy at what was to me the reemergence of true Rock and Roll.. The pain of Layne's demons were laid out in his music... I can relate.. I had, and still have my own demons to battle but fortunately i managed to escape the addictions in my life.. Layne could not.. He was broken and couldn't be fixed... Both this song and Down in a hole tell his story.. RIP Layne.. The world misses you.
