  • thats prettyu good with a 3.5

  • The Jeep being capable has alot to do with driver

  • ..it's not my problem!...

  • The white xj seems really capable for one that's not extreme looking, nice build.

  • Dude so awesome!

  • Every American video is the same. Go look at the Camel trophy for a good videos! When I was in the states Off roading was a day rarely two of trying to get over rocks and going nowhere, often resulting in broken parts from poorly modified (jacked-UP) street 4x4's. In Australia, Argentina, South Africa & Indonesia i experienced real off-roading expeditions. Proper sized tires, Diesel powered & full floating axles! The one jacked-up Jeep in Indonesia broke down & was left in the Jungle!

  • @Reverendjim1 Nobody cares. If you just want to complain about American videos, get the hell off.

  • @Spikejr5342 Spoken by a true connoisseur of mediocrity! Yes, "Nobody cares" amongst your circles, the circle of shaved head, goatee wearing, overweight, under educated morons. You and your cohorts are the keepers of mediocrity & low class ideals for America... To bad too, The United States was once a nation to look up to. By the way, Real Off-Roaders do care.

  • @Reverendjim1 I'm glad someone else else gets it, what are these guys with home-built desert rock crawling rigs doing crawling rocks in the desert? If they were real men they would build a time machine to go back and compete in this one race that hasn't been held in over a decade. I mean, these guys are so lame compared to corporate-sponsored professional teams in an international trophy cup. In a similar vein sometimes I scream at commuters for not being F1 drivers

  • @splattermark There are still other expedition type off road races / challenges. Look at the European, Australian, South African 4x4 magazines. Oh and I actually scream at commuters for acting like F1 drivers or more accurately NASCAR drivers since F1 in the states is not run often. Last time an American won a US F1 Grand Prix was back in 1958. Once again I guess F1 justs costs too much. No high speed rail in the States either, cost again..???

  • U really have to have balls to make this shit with only lift 3.5 inch.

    gratz and cheers bro! ;D

  • so stock except lift, wheels, and locker?

  • Hello! I am looking to purchase a XJ real soon and I live in AZ. Plan to be going in snow, four peaks, widow maker, etc and I was wondering with that 3.5 lift you got, are they on the stock springs? I was wondering if I could buy a lift and have that going for about 8-12 months then shocks/etc. Do rear lockers make a big difference as well? Sorry for the questions, I like the video!

  • is it a 4 link and what size tires and lift

  • Did all of that in a stock 79 jeep wagoner

  • @REBELLIFE4 You did Sunflower, congrats

  • was that a cop jeep?

  • @Simplicity885 Yes it was

  • nothing like a 4.0 I-6!

  • What kinda protection are you running for the underside? Got an 89 on 35's with a 6.5 inch lift and wanna prevent damage when offroading since it's my daily driver

  • @Mr89XJ I have the factory gas tank skid and factory TC skid. The TC skid is not much. I have a better one, just haven't gotten around to installing it. Thats it other than the sliders for the rocker panels.

  • nice

  • not bad

  • At first when men wanted to travel the back country we had to use horses and mules. Then GOD Gave us JEEP.!!!!!!!!! HELL YEAH NICE!!!

  • Great Vid Dude! Very Impressive!!

  • wow im in Arizona with a 97 xj with a azzie locker in the back and 31 10.50 general grabbers wow small world

  • very impressive! no crazy lift or huge tires! wow

  • im looking to put a 4.5 to 6.5 inch lift on my 97 xj and i was wondering what problems i might come upon..... would i have to worry much and my u joints? what about the wheel bearings? what kinda of chassis upgrades would i need to get? plz reply im only 16 and i will be using it as an everyday drive.....

  • nice looks great and given er hell. love it

  • hello

I'm looking for the same projector as you for my xj

with a command inside. the same as the police cars from the USA, is not it

is it possible to find it online or in a shop

    thank you

    Sorry for my bad English

  • nice video..thanks for posting

  • How is the detroit on the pavement. Any mods to your 4.0 I 6?

  • fuckin jeep's will go just about any were :)

  • What locker are you using in the rear?

  • @goldgeter123 ITs a Detroit

  • Best.XJ.video.on.youtube.

  • why does everyone think they have to ruin every video with some crap obnoxious noise? I have to mute it in order to watch it.

  • 0:45 AMAZING !!!

  • nice jeep, but yet another sweet vid ruined by music.... id rather listen to the exhaust and scraping of body panels

  • were you in payson at the 1:00 mark? because it looks like the hill that goes down to the waterfalls haha

  • @Zakaroony Its about halfway between Mesa and Payson.

  • Very capable vehicle for having only a 3.5" lift...awesome!

  • very ncie for a lightly modified jeep, just bought a 98 xj myself, do you still run your swqay abrs with that lift? or did you take them off or use quick disconnects or somethin?

  • @FrankfortHigh Disconnects in the front and no sway bar in the rear.

  • Haha, I love the guys shirt at the start, "BEER IS MY LIFE"

    X2...

  • heck yea! nice jeep!just bot an 01 xj, ready for lift, wheels and tires :}

  • sick. shows a 3.5 is all you need good on ya m8!

  • This video has helped me decide that 3.5" lift is plenty. Great video

  • how much did you chop off the fenders?

  • @Cotyp94 Its hard to say, I did a little bit the first time around, then a bit more once I went to the current tires. I never really measured each time.

  • Nice....

  • Great footage. I have the same lift on a 1990 XJ. I haven't tackled this type of wheeling yet but I plan to. Thanks for posting these shots.

  • man thats an awsome xj and awsome trails go xj keep em on da road/tail

  • how do you keep that from ripping up the underside of the jeep?

  • @JerseyBoy83 skid plates and sliders

  • made to look easy when you drive it like you nicked it great driving great little cherokee

  • sliders ftw

  • I'm surprised the sheetmetal is so straight!

  • the one person that dis likes this video does not have a jeep

  • @Charger3091 thanks

  • @AZCAjeeper its a good trail for sure.

  • @unholybmx666 it was on there when I got it.

  • do you have the superflex kit?

  • @350vroom its the RE6025

which is the super ride kit with full leafs. I did add adjustable upper arms to go with it.

  • @cw50must the superride is the kit that doesn't come with swaybar disconnects. basically i just wanna know if when you wheel do you disconnect the front sway bar?

  • @350vroom yes I disconnect it. I use JKS disconnects. I can't report on the RE disconnects, but the JKS ones are great, never any issues.

  • Nice work! After a long absence I'm now a proud owner of a 93 Cherokee Sport, I-6, manual!! Grew up driving CJ's and am stoked to get back into the Jeep seen. Know of any good forums for advice. I've in the LA area now!

    Again, that was RAD!!

  • @jnoyes1 xjsocal.com

  • beaverbox drive like this and im with you all the way big boy

  • what axles do you have ??

and what lockers do you have ?? ( you say detroit witch type )

and do you have a locker in the front axle too ??

  • @beaverbox dana 30 front Chrysler 8.25 rear.

Detroit locker, full carrier not a lunch box.

    the front is open

  • @cw50must hello fella i have a jeep cherokee xj to and i'm thinking of putting a detroit locker in the read dana 35 and also putting a detroit truetrac locker in the front dana 30 do you know any one with this type of set up in there jeep cherokee ??

and what's it like on the road with the locker you have on the road ??

and do you think my jeep will be a bit of a pig to drive on the road ??

i know my jeep will be the nuts off road but on road ( not sure )

  • @beaverbox To me it handles fine with the locker, but it is noticable. I know someone with trutracs and you can't even tell they are in there, handles the same as stock. I would research on NAXJA.org to see what others think.

  • @cw50must thank's fella for your info i will look in to it

This video is saved to my favorites

Your jeep looks the nuts and i like the way the rock slider get a beating at 0:11 sec's and the rear bumper takes the same punishment at 0;28 sec's and the same at 0:40 sec's and she just takes it

in the UK we don't much in the way of rock to crawling ( well not where i live ) we just have mud / clay / trees / and rivers with odd bolder hanging out the side of the muddy bank but i luv 4 wheeling

  • @cw50must most of my 4x4 buddy's have jeeps take a look at some of the videos below type them in fella jeep Cherokee XJ off road Devils Pit hill climb rock crawl extreme fun devils pit 4x4 off road beaver buckaroo baby bures pit 4x4 off road cherokee jeep devils pit 4x4 off road cherokee jeep jeep Cherokee XJ off road Devils Pit cherokee jeep devils pit mega jump Jeep Cherokee XJ 4x4 off road Rochford & District 4x4 part 4 american vs english check them video above out fella

  • Best Jeep vid I have seen on youtube by far. 0:40 is awesome. good shit!

  • jeeps suck get a rav 4 mo bettha my rav has a 3/16'' lift and 26'' mts i'v been there with my rav was nothing

  • @RommelMcD combination 3.5 in lift full leaf pack, plus 3/4" shackle and spacer.

  • Nice driving ...... what about skid plates? Got any? I too have recently joined the cherokee clan.

  • @cyclopstube gas tank skid and factory TC skid. I have a better TC skid in the garage waiting.

  • gotta love lockers!..awesome jeep man!

  • Comment removed

  • song name plz

  • you got lockers on that

  • o yah azs got some of the best 4 wheeling around

  • You're a good handler man. Well done. Sick XJ.

  • nice flex man, how much lift you runnin??

  • @joeschroeder007

    Read the description man lol

  • dude that looks like fun.. BTW when in doubt hod it to the floor!!

  • wow, i have the exact same setup, same rubicon express lift, tires, lights, and safari rack, except mines black and i never knew mine was capable of that. =0

  • im thinking of getting a 6 inch lift.do you think it will be too top heavy?

  • @kykymykitten Arizona, it only rains like 3 times a year so not much mud. :)

  • @cw50must rocks are better than mud anyway...more skill involved

  • @cw50must rocks are better than mud anyway...more skill involved

  • are there ever times when you wish you would have gone with the 4.5 kit? I'm debating between the 3.5 super ride or the 4.5 SF... a good 3-400 dollars can be saved, but if I'm gonna buy all the parts from the 4" kit in the end I might as well blow it all up front for cheaper... Any thoughts?

  • @m1brett Well what I did was add a 3/4" spacer up front and a 3/4" shackle in the rear, so honestly it is taller than your standard 3.5" lift. The lift is just about right for me, there are plenty of times I know I should have went with bigger tires. As sson as these are done I will go to a larger tire, but these keep hanging on so who knows how long that will be...

  • Your jeep is hawt.

  • whats the name of the light you have on the driver side mirror?

  • @feetfirstbaseball Its just a spot light, not sure if it has a technical name or not. I know there are several companies that make them but Unity is probably the biggest.

  • sick jeep! sick driveing! i have ALMOST the same jeep as yours but 33s, 4.56 and 4"5in.

  • What lockers are you using front and rear?

  • @AVjeeper detroit in the rear, none in the front.

  • you might wanna lift that a tiny bit higher lol [JEEP FOREVER O||||||||||||O]

  • @Wolfsforever nope, motor is stock, 186k miles and still goes strong

  • sick jeep

  • Love this video.

Are you running stock gear ratios in the differentials? What brand is your locker?

I have the same lift on my 99 XJ with 31x10.5 Firestone A/T tires. I'm going to get 33 inch M/Ts when these wear out, and I'll probably re-gear and add at least a rear locker at the same time.

Check the video of my 99 at Hardrock in Ocala, FL and you'll see why I want to get a locker. The terrain in FL is nothing like what you're used to, though.

  • @PDBreske gears are 4.10s, I should have went 4.56, but I got a really good deal on these. rear locker is a detroit.

  • @cw50must Have you experienced any hopping on paved roads with the detroit rear end? Do you have to be extra careful when making turns?

  • @PDBreske not really hopping, it does chirp around some corners, if you are able to coast, then its the same. Its not as bad with the automatic. I was used to it after about a week. No need to be extra careful it still turns just fine.

  • @cw50must Thanks!

  • @PDBreske Locker is a detroit. Gears are 4.10s

  • uhuu

  • @Wolfsforever its a rubicon express 3.5" lift

  • that was sick man. great watch

  • Outstanding use of those sliders!

  • very good man. haha you got that thing down to a science....some of that stuff was pretty nasty. nice...now i know that a locker is better then a huge ass lift! haha

  • sick jeep is it a 5 speed or automatic?

  • @fratto1 Automatic

  • what I think is I should have went with 33s and am now considering 35s even.

  • Nice rig dude

  • what do you think of the 3.5 RE's on road manners? I'm debating between it and OME 3" lift... KS 01 XJ

  • I am very happy with it. When the front sway bar is hooked up it handles pretty decent for what it is. Even on windy mountain roads.

  • I also have the RE 3.5, just like cw50 said, it behaves very well with the front sway bar connected. Handles just about like stock.

  • if i added a 2" BB to the 3.5 kit would i have to add a bunch of other stuff? i.e. upper control arms, longer discos..?

  • @m1brett the disconnects I have are adjustable enough that they still worked. I did end up getting upper control ares to fix the caster for a smoother ride but it did work with stockers.

  • @cw50must oh so you have a 2"BB on your XJ?

  • @m1brett n o I have the 3.5 inch lift + a .75 inch spacer and shackle in the rear.

  • what kind of tires?

  • BFG MTs, the older ones, Not the KM2s

  • very nice jeep. good wheelin on 32s

  • Nice XJ.. change the rears at all?

  • Contrary to what the previous poster said, I think you're doing a great job running the rocks with 32's, a 3.5" lift and only locked in the rear. Looks to me like you've found a great balance of inertia/momentum while still keeping the rig together. More skids would be nice, but other than that it looks to be doing real well.

    A fellow Arizonan

  • Thanks

  • You could just regear and go slow over all the those rocks and be in control....just a thought...

  • looked in control to me. nice drivin man

  • gotta love jeep

  • Great XJ! Are you in a local club. I was wondering since I have a mildly built XJ here in Arizona and would like to find a good group to join.

  • Not officially in any local club. Its usually just the same ones of us the go out. I do post frequently on virtualjeepclub which is local

  • best video ever i have a 99 jeep xj

  • Thanks for enjoying the video everyone.

to anwser a few questions, its a detroit lokcer in the rear, and I leave the scratches and dents there, they aren't too bad actually, I try my best to avoid damage most of the time. Also, I have the stock skid plates, although a TC plate will be purchased soon and I've added a CROK rear bumper since the video.

  • how often do you have to do paint touch ups?- i would assume you scratch paint regularly.

  • the paint scratches are like a badge of honor lol

  • Awesome!!! lol and thank god for skid plates

  • awsome crawling!

  • AWSOME!!!!!

  • thats exactly how my last xj was set up same lift except i didnt have a locker and i had 31's, same year though unfortunately i rolled it over, but i got a new xj its all stock though so no offroading for a long time

  • Very nice! What kind of locker do you have in it?

  • this video would be awsome for a jeep advertisement

  • cept they dont make it anymore! gad damn it, the only reason chrysler (Fiat?!?) stopped production is because they were working on creating a new image and the design was dubbed "outdated". FUCKING SHAME. I have a 2000 on D60's, 8 inch RK lift and an ARB, but would love to have a new one. I feel like thats a car that, with exterior upgrades every decade or so, could be produced forever.

  • Nice XJ and nice Job :o)

  • put a locker in the front ! awesome rig !!!

  • its in the plans

  • Nice XJ, i dont think ill ever get that hardcore with mine, but yours is pretty effing sweet if you ask me!

  • Awesome, nice crazy stuff

  • my girl just got a 98 , anyone know a gret site to look for after market shit? i mean any and all! help would be great, thanks.

  • google quadratec its the 1st one its a great site

  • btesh, go to quadratec and they'll mail you a free catalog its the perfect starting point

  • jeep4x4center is good

  • 4 bangin

  • Nice drivin! Great articulation too!

  • ya thats true but sum depend on what u got on it

  • that ruled

you are an insane driver and nice jeep.

    keep on keepin on man

  • damn watchin that suspension work is pretty sexy.

  • nice drivin man. you put that sucker in some tough spots.

  • pretty much the nicest jeep ive seen...

so how is this setup for daily driving?? i have about a 40 mi daily commute....im looking for a cherokee now and wana set mine up with just about the same shit. just to make it simple yet effective. NICE driving by the way!!

  • damm that jeep goes good eyy, you can see the rear lokka pushing hard to make it get trough, do u reckon put an auto lokka in front dana 30 or rear 35, as i cbf changing to a 44 or c 8.25
