Investigations are underway in France, Germany, and soon, I predict, the US. And no they don't kill people 'all the time' but they've been responsible for several deaths. The census doesn't ask about religion, dimwit. I don't know how many there are, but I know they're many more than 250, which is her claim. That statement made me stop watching immediately.
And their average members? They bleed them dry. It costs $350,000 to get to OT8. Let's say they have 55,000 members in the USA which is what the 2000 census says. Let's say they've each given $100,000. That's $550,000,000. Obviously this is just a wild guess with donations, and they used to have more people, their population is declining.

Every single non-profit has built in bylaws as to who they can consider a member. They can include anyone who has ever contacted them, given them money, done an action for them or that they sent mail to. They can make up any reason that fits into broad State and Federal laws for non-profits. With Scientology documented record for lying, it's a good bet they are inflating their membership numbers. The most generous of government estimates puts their numbers above 100,000. It's just a guess but it's still %98 lower than what they claim. Eventually anonymous, anon sympathizers and other Scientology critics will band together in greater numbers than the cult commands and make a difference. Getting them reclassified as a for profit business would be a gigantic step.

I'm guessing 250 000, because at most of the Scientology events, there are more than 250 people. Most estimates I've heard are around 200 000, so I'm pretty sure that's what she meant.

Every single non-profit has built in bylaws as to who they can consider a member. They can include anyone who has ever contacted them, given them money, done an action for them or that they sent mail to. They can make up any reason that fits into broad State and Federal laws for non-profits. With Scientology documented record for lying, it's a good bet they are inflating their membership numbers. Hey Tory, I believe their inflated stats are now saying something like 10 million which, as we all know, is a lot of bunk! They count every person who walked into an org, every person who took their "stress test", etc as members. And they keep saying they are growing every year when really, their numbers are shrinking thanks to people like you, Mark and Stacy and sites like Operation Clambake and XenuTv. God bless the internet for allowing us to get the truth out about Scientology.

Hi Tory, i just wanted to say that i think you, Stacy Brooks and all the other ex-members are doing a great job exposing the 'church'
I have a church near where i live, but until all this recent uproar i didn't know much about Scientology. I find it incredible that cults like this can exist so easily in supposedly civilised countries.
It's been a real eye opener, and also deeply sad to watch the videos and read the info out there on xenutv etc..

I was just about to respond to your question about the sound, and I just refreshed to see my comment posted, and it has 0 views again and yet there are 4 'recent ratings' at the bottom.

That 'chuuu' sound, usually comes from the mic being overdriven. In other words, you may have been too close to the mic and the mic couldn't handle the loudness of your voice at those times. Try speaking about 24 inches away from the mic. Hope this helps! :D

The most generous of government estimates puts their numbers above 100,000. It's just a guess but it's still %98 lower than what they claim. Eventually anonymous, anon sympathizers and other Scientology critics will band together in greater numbers than the cult commands and make a difference. Getting them reclassified as a for profit business would be a gigantic step.
