There is no such thing as Jodha Akbar or Jodha Bai. Please do some research before blindly following bollywood movies. Akbar Naama or any other history never mentions this name. Her actual name was Mariam-uz-Zamani and the famous mosque was constructed in her honor. Jodha Akbar was first mentioned in 18th century by hindu historians. So actually she was converted to Islam. Never trust bollywood stories especially anything about muslims.

@gps786 well, we muslims should be very careful what we wish for : do you really want to tell the world about islam's bloody encounters with the indian/hindu civilizations. will durant and a.l.basham, both world reknowned and non hindu european historians have written about what our forefathers did in india, including what akbar namma describes. it was pretty disgusting stuff. durant estimates that anywhere between 5 - 10 million hindus were killed or converted by force during islamic rule.

@Nusrat5791, The topic is about wrong information given in the movie which even many Indians protested against before the launch of 'Jodha Akbar'. There was no such thing as Jodha. She was Marayam uz Zamani, a rajput princess converted to Islam. I don't care who she was but keeping the record straight for others ;)

I would say greatest ever! why just Bollywood! So what if it is fake? That makes it even greater! What imagination, detailed visualization (without the benefit of story boards) and dazzling execution! The original was in B&W. I can only imagine the impact had that been in color. Would have run for a 1,000 years. Hats off to the entire team: Asif, Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip, Madhubala, Durga Khote, Naushad... The rich and powerful dialog! What a lovely, lovely movie!
