  • wtf

  • u guys think u know masterminds

u have nothing on malcolm red

  • Is this one of Machiavelli's....???^^

  • no this is a modern book the guy who wrote it is robert greene. it refers to machiavelli's the prince alot though. he takes historical blunders and victories and analyzes them in order to get the message of power out of them. it is a good book worth the money

  • ah ok....tnx! I've been reading machiavelli's works because I'm doing a thesis about Machiavelli and it makes me wonder about this video coz i thought machiavelli had that kind of book....^_^

  • awesome book

  • this book doesn't teach you how to dominate people... it teaches you how to take complete control of YOUR life.....Go into the book and find the story of "George Sand" under Law 25....

  • don't comment on the book if u haven't read it.. money is not power. power is money. this book doesn't teach u how to make people do things. this book teaches u how people want to do thing. the following is a list of power moves which the book gives examples of : Jay-z retires Obama's "yes we can" campaign Bill Gates steals windows 911 Kevin Federline (Brittany) Oprah (Image & Cult Following) Bush (John Kerry) (WAR) i could go on and on.the laws are not evil.but if the person using then is
  • ive read 48 laws and war by robert greene. he never said if you use the laws, your evil. but instead he said the laws are inevitable<---hope i spell that correct.peace

  • i don't understand what your talking about. what do u mean by power is money? and yes it does teach you how to manipulate people, it says study them and understand what there needs and wants are and you can dominate them. i can see how you came up with this list of people, but you forgot one thing; television and your mind. All these people you mentioned you can find on entertainment tonight

  • (besides the 911 and bush) that says alot about your character. you have giving me alot more info about how your mind works then you think. i can see your a conspiracy nut that watches to much television! rule four always say less then necessary. lol

  • what is number six?

  • court attention at all costs, it means stand out of the crowd even if it brings bad attention, it keeps them talking about you when your not around

  • Bingo

  • @ethiotoronto lol I can reflect on almost every "law" that this guy reads, I've witnessed people do amost all of these things, including myself. :)

  • @ethiotoronto The book is good. In order to be treated like a king, you must act like a king. Enter action with boldness. So so true.

  • Didn't use half of the laws cause of my origins.Used other laws except for the one of having an enemy who keeps you sharps and on your toes. You never become lazy wen you know someone wants you in jail or stranded poor. And most people got duals while I got invisible enemies. Enemies I have delt with the last 3 years are not your average peter around the corner. There is a difference between dealing with an enemy who gets paid to be an enemy and one who does it as a personal conflict.

  • fear is a small death, RASSKASSONE

  • None of the laws are new....if you read the book, you'll realize we all do everything in it. Humans ARE evil

  • No we aren't. You are just following Rule 43 "Work on Hearts and Minds of Others."

  • Alot of the chapter titles are alot deeper then you think... initially hearing "get others to do the work but take all of the credit," i though that was fucked up. He was getting at something completely different then what all of you are thinking. If you dont agree with the Chapter titles of the laws, read the summaries.. its deeper than that.

  • this is an amazing book, dont judge it by this shitty shitty video... it should be mandatory for all mid-level psych classes (its a gen. psych. book)...

if 50 understood half of what R. Greene is saying he wouldnt say or do half the shit he does...50 transgresses from at least half the laws, and thats just considering his public life.. these laws do not relate to him at all. Just another fake gangster tactic of 50 trying to align himself with some real shit.

  • this is book is trash!

  • the book tells you not to offend the wrong person.....

  • this book sounds pretty evil. i wonder if has ever really helped anyone. please post a reply if it has

  • I agree, i would'nt use every law in the book, some of that stuff can get you hurt if you offend the wrong person.

  • this book depicts typical jewish thinking.

i dislike this book and its author, its a piece of crap. the presentation in this clip is excellent though.

  • for christ sake you numbskull its based on everyone from machivelli to Sun Tzu- to call it jewish thinking says far more about you than anything. Book is just a synthesis- an explanation of how power has operated through the ages not an advocacy of using it or being a power-crazed psychopath. I believe robert green's intentions are to democratize the concepts so they eventually become diffused the more everyone knows about them.

  • @simonmandala

the author is a jewish himself to say the least

  • I personally think people should use it for self-defense because since everyone knows about it now, it's going to be hard to use these laws. for example, if two people read 48 laws of power and want to use it on each other without the other person knowing, it is going to be hard, maybe impossible for one to get over the other.

  • i love your voice

  • money is power.

this is not teaching you how to get any.

this is teaching you how to be like more like Robert Greene(The Author)

    Be Yourself.

    myspace/omegablaze

  • i assume you've heard about 48 laws because robert green is doing a book with 50 cent and having briefly looked over his ideas you've decided to give your half baked opinion. As i said above, if you actually knew anything about the book its not teaching how to be like anything- its an explanation of how power works so that, if you have any sanity at all, you can learn to defend yourself against it. you can try to take over the world with it if you're prone to infantile power fantasies.good luck

  • incorrect.

50 cent has nothing to with it.

I'm pretty sure that book wont even make production.

But as for 48 laws of power, this is just a self esteem booster.

people feel special when they think they know things other people dont know.

i guess you were one of them lol.

but yeah, money, you need that.

otherwise the "Power" for you to respond to this message will be taken away(Internet). So get money and pay ur internet fee. Stop getting so wrapped up in a book.

  • pimp shit!

  • Excellent book!

    P.S. Greetings and Salutations

  • i dont know the source of this, but it sounds like a paraphrasing of "the art of worldly wisdom" by balthazar gracian.

  • This book is my bible.

  • Stupid...obviously the below commenters never actually dealt in the business world or dealt w/ people one on one. Robt. Greene is a pure GENIUS...and those books are priceless. SMH people sound like seven yr olds...They aught to ban the word FAIR from the American lexicon!!! At least 95% of all human interaction is adversarial...MF's better wake up...or not.

  • or how to counterbalance them....

  • damn, its my favorite..

  • superficial is a state of mind. controling the masses is trivial ... it all depends if one can see the invisible penguin... then you can grasp the concept of life itself.

  • Spelling typo at the start, but I'm glad you've at least superficially grasped the text's concepts.

  • intention define morales

  • his guy looks like a gay vampire!

  • he sucks cocks till they bleed

  • go get pimpen ken 48 laws of pimpin!!!

  • very telling

it's always easier when u know how to play the game

    thanks :)

  • Book is 5 star!

  • "Smell the flowers while you can."

  • is this book a good substitute for Machiavelli the prince??

  • absolutely

  • i would read the prince before this .

  • pretty cold stuff,, it is indeed immoral. You shouldnt always practice it, but when dealing with power this can help you in gaining insight in structures and stream of power.

    Cool choice of music

  • Law #50 : Don't get angry, get even

  • Genious! I wrote this one down too!

  • I have a 49th law. "Know that, the sum of who + when + how= why however, no one factor in the formula alone will ever equal the Importance of why in its entirety".

  • What I take from what you are saying is that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. That understanding the WHY gives you insight that studying all of its components seperately does not. Some people refer to these as EMERGENT PROPERTIES. Good post. Please respond. Everyone has their bible, this book has become mine.

  • Well put. I find that for so many reasons, this book has taught me more than life itself. And in my quest to fully understand and apply it's lessons, I view situations from a different and holistic perspective. When I use the word apply, I wouldn't liken it to a video game cheat code. I mean actually comprehending, utilizing and following through. (continued)

  • What led me to the conclusion on the 49th law post was that, in every situation, problem, dilemma what have you. There is always one factor which cannot be escaped or eluded from. Conveniently it was also the sum of all formulas in life. Everything boils down to why. However without who, when and how, why just doesn't make much sense. It also proves nothing.

  • I agree. This book has been a major source of development for me. It has to be remembered though, that there are many examples throught history where people have done everything right, and still not succeeded, so applying these principles is no guarantee of success. I look ath them as bullets in my holster...they have power...but I have to have the SKILL to make the KNOWLEDGE work. Cheers.

  • I guess that means if you know 'why', you also know who, when, and how. I am halfway through this book. It great. It is not immoral. Truth cannot be immoral. Besides, morals are ad hoc.

  • Exactly. And I also agree with your comment on immorality, but I'll take it a step further by saying that I believe the moral and immoral in life is decided by society. So, with that said its easy to see the sort of social grooming that takes place which decides the way of thinking for the majority. It is of my understanding that power is not how 1 person defeats another but how one person controls a way of thinking for the masses, therefore making it impossible to oppose.

  • cool book.

  • WILLIAM WAS HERE 9/12/2007

  • The laws in this book work!

  • Why do people post these messages... can anyone direct me to a place which explains this phenomenon?

  • You know, you are a blessing to the suicidal.

  • Perhaps yes, perhaps not, I can agree, my perspective is biased. But there will always be lines drawn between the Rulers and the Ruled.

But enough, this can all be discussed on Greene's Blog. ;)

  • Thanks Ghostly , will check it out, peace !

  • Or maybe society would become fairer. The powerful don't need these books; they already know them. These books allow the have-nots to develop strategies against the power-hungry.

  • I agree with Kurzon the strong are already born with these strategies. This book is for people that are not born with them and need to learn so it can be an instinct.

  • Exact.

  • Read the 48, as well as 33 Strategies and the Art of Seduction... if everyone thought like this, society would stop.

  • thats why everyone doesnt think like that only some people are ment to know how to use the book to its full extent.
