Btw.. the USA only faught in Europe from 1941 onward. Not the full war like Commonwealth and other European countries (1939 to 45). Jebus the USA loves to re-write history.

@honour123 3 problems with your statement. 1 no one is saying that they won the war. 2 we didn't fight in Europe until 1943 and that was against the Italians, we did not begin fighting the Germans in Europe until June of 43. 3 this is the correct way to spell fought. Seems the makers of Red Tails, hollywood elitist have altered fact to dumbed down the story of the glory and honor earned by Tuskegee Airmen. The trailer tells us, all other fiter sqdns "white pilots", were incapable of protecting bombers because their of personal quest of self glory. Red Tails only got into the fight by putting the completely racist high command on the spot by threatening to quit. And I don't believe any flight officers of any color ever huddled on the tarmac and chanted.

The Tuskgekkee Airmen served it North Africa and Italy and later to a small part in southern France. They did not have the oppertuntity to kill japs and neither did Patton. We thank them for thier service. Real American Heros.

And even on the other side of Britain in the ocean, there was a German Nave out their trying to stop Aliied shipping along with U-Boats. Ever heard of the Bismark? That vast German warship (the biggest known at the time other then Japans Yamato ships). I would say the Herman navy was great!

But most of it was his U-boats that he used to attack enemy ships and sink them as quickly as possible, essentially his blitzkreig of the seas. But this was mainly to deter ships that supplied the european forces he was trying to decimate. He mainly used his funds to create his massive land force for his blitzkreigs and frontal assaults.

This story NEEDS to be told, but it also needs to include; the harsh realities experienced by these young blace men. My late husband, Samueln Benford, Sr., was a Tuskeegee Airman. He always said that the real reason for t?forcehe name Red Tails and painting the airplane tails red was a veiled racial slur by US Army Air Force, ass it was then. It was a takeoff on the racial slur relating blacks to specific apes, baboons, who have a prominent red spot on their rear ends (red tails).
