Was very difficult too open. Totally agree with the fact that it is probably easier to remove (like in the video) after you have done so several times. Jsarvey had a good tip about placing it on a flat surface, that's what finally... worked form me.  Off to charge my battery.

The video is misleading. If it's the first or second time that you're opening it, it's not going to come off very easily. It certainly will not look like it does in the video. After you've opened and closed it about 20 times, it might begin to look as easy as it does in the video. Ultimately the tip that worked for me was to place it on a flat surface and put the pressure of my thumbs over the silvery-logo and push from there. It was still difficult though.

The engineer who designed the back AND the copywriter who wrote text and pictures on how to open it both need to GO BACK TO SCHOOL & study OXO design. The vid was helpful -- the BBrry book's visuals are not crap. Maybe it was designed to be opened by male hands and not women's?!?!? Women have lower grip strengths & smaller hands than men, hear that, Designers? Pointer- -use rubber gloves or similar instead of fingers to keep them from slipping.

I got yellow cleaning gloves to help slide the battery off, since my fingers kept sliding on the back, but after the first time I opened it, you can start opening it one handed. You just need to pop it off that initial time. Hope this helps!

OK KIDS HERE IT IS!!! Put a little pressure on each SIDE of the top of the battery door and slide down. The door is semi flexible, so pushing directly on it, doesn't work. Put a finger on either side at the top, press inward a little and slide down. Thanks to my 16 year old who figured it out. :)
