  • THIS ONLY REMINDS ME OF ONE THING. SCOOBY DOOBY DOO! Omg I remember how he would jump on to shaggys arms !!!!!/&/&$/&-9191910/45

  • Got in a 2 yr old who was freaked by fireworks the first week. SO bad, he wouldn't go into the yard by himself for over a week. I Had to do something. Picked up Snaps, foil covered balls you throw on the ground and explode.. He was So bad I bought 600, figuring I would need them. Made Sure he was watching me and threw one. He ran for the first 5, stood his ground for the next 5, and jumped on me for the next 5, and did 5 more. 6 yrs later he seemed bothered by FWorks thrown close, so threw 10.

  • Its cute But Rough on the dog, like it would be for us. I got a 3 yr old hound in who was Super sound sensitive. She tried to bolt ate Any sharp or lond sound. Cured her in 20 min, when caught in a T storm at a park. Spoke softly and stroked her All over, and storms Never bothered her again. She liked to lay on her back with her legs spread (VERY vulnerable position), and Didn't budge as a storm approached, stayed, and passed. I just ask if she was OK.

  • @HoundmanV Thank you for sharing that. That is nice to hear. Bella is now 4 and still a little jittery around fireworks, but not as bad.

  • Dogs are so amazing.

  • That's just adorable!

  • i love when big dogs think they are small..

  • @abcabc123lol she weighs twice that and still tries to sit on my lap...

  • SHE'S WASN'T EVEN A YEAR OLD???

  • @FrankiEmo92 LOL!! no, she was only 8 months. She is 3 and 1/2 now and weighs 156 lbs.

  • My cousin's dog almost got killed by lighting. Now the poor dog cries every time there's a storm

  • @MrsFashionHairMakeup Poor thing...my vet told me to give my dog a LITTLE beer, to calm her.

  • @djjohnston46 you should never give an animal alcohol. EVER.

  • i love these dogs i have 2 of my own and they love you the same way

  • @Jcurvs99 They are the best aren't they?!

  • I knew that, dog never know how much he weight... He just remembers that he can sit on her mama since he was a puppy.

  • It's funny how some big dogs are big babies, while how some small dogs act fearless.

  • What a beautiful BIG BABY - love her....:) She could use my lap anytime.

  • Aw...I had a basset named Abe who hated firecrackers and lightning. Don't blame him because it started when he was napping on the porch and some idiots thought it'd be funny to throw a lit cherry bomb on said porch. Abe wasn't hurt, just terrified out of his wits. but ever since then, he cries and whines every time he hears a firecracker.

  • @janeyrevanescence12 I think something like that happened to Bella, she was brave and now...but she is still my protector!

  • @djjohnston46 lol. One night, a person tried getting into our house (he was drunk and honestly thought he was home) and Abe growled (which he rarely if ever did) to alert us.

  • @janeyrevanescence12 whaaaaaaat jeez people are morons.

  • @acraftyperson I know

  • @janeyrevanescence12 i had a boxer that was terrified by lightnings and fireworks because for weeks the kids of the street right infront of my house decided that it was funny to throw firecrackers all day for weeks, i wasnt happy either lol

  • @illise don't blame you for being mad. I was furious

  • It worries me that my great dane is looking more and more like a bullmastiff because of all the donuts my mum's been feeding him...

  • My dog is scared of fireworks too but he's a chihuahua so it's easy to hold him lol. Your dog is beautiful

  • @buddward13 Same here I have a American bulldog he's pretty big and still acts a like puppy always uses my lap

  • so cute I wanna HOLD her xoxoxo

  • Comment removed

  • bshahahha so adorable. i have an american bulldog and she does the same things. 110 lbs and she still thinks shes small enough to sit on ur lap.

  • Naww<3

    whats his name?

  • @amandaleiva Bella, she was only 8 months old here :)

  • how much do you spend a month on dry food for a bull mastiff?

  • @rub504 maybe 50.00, not that bad!

  • awwwwwwww that is so cute poor baby

  • Bella is protecting Mama. She would have ran to a closet otherwise. Wonderful dog!

  • @fiddledeedaa she did a great job!!!!

  • i take my dog out to watch fireworks. he was 4 nths old last year so we took him out and got him all excited now he loves them. if you mother them and stroke them you will make them worse, well thats what we think and now our dog wags his tail and gets well excited when he sees them.

  • only 8 months!!

  • @kaisofine she weighs 150 lbs now, full grown.

  • nice lap dog

  • Have you tried a thundershirt. It helps my boxer.

  • awwwwwww

  • "Rikes raggy!"

  • oh, lol, poor sweetie <3

  • MaMa cant breathe!!!

  • @8Cutiepiehoneylamb8 you have no idea...lol!

  • @djjohnston46 lol

  • aawwwww

  • I know the urge is to comfort a dog when they are clearly stressed over a particular noise or sight - but it actually reinforces their reaction to the stimuli. They associate becoming frightened of that thing with being rewarded by being petted. It's best to leave them be when they get like that. They will usually get over it.

  • It's Marmaduke!

  • Wait..is that Drake?!

  • Hold me, Mommy!

  • lol what cute wuss

  • I'm SURE he's actually defending his MOM... YEAH.... that's GOTTA be it!!! REALLY!!! *GRIN*

  • @darreth0104 Yes!!! Absolutely....so brave!!!!

  • ooo i have a boxer same thing and he shakes alot i turn my tv very high or i try to put on music but he still can hear thru that sad i dont know y

  • ooo i have a boxer same thing and he shakes alot

  • Isn't there some kind of hearing protection for dogs?

  • hahaha big dog so funny... he is so lucky ah...

  • my cat was the same way, absolutely terrified of Fireworks! Yet let a Delivery person come into the house, and he turned into the Growling and Hissing cat from Hell!!

  • @kamiko70 So does Bella, she's fierce with strangers....but loveable with family.

  • That is SOOOOO CUUUUUTE!!!!!!

  • Aww, what a cutie! : D

  • awwwwww

  • " I caught a train! I caught a train I did?! "

  • Poor baby. My English Mastiff would probably react the same to fireworks. He lays under my chair with thunder and he has heard that all his life! Now I am off to look for recent videos of this beautiful girl.

  • Scooby Doo! xD

  • @AbiiGibbs funny her brother (Cairn Terrier) is named Scrappy Doo....lol

  • thought my xena & tinkerbell where big lap dogs. 65lbs each. one at a timers for sure thought

  • Totally adorable.

  • the world's heaviest and biggest baby XD

  • How cute is this?!

  • She looks like an English Mastiff to me

  • @jonbmd she is half. Her dad is bullmastiff and as I found out later, her mom was english mastiff.

  • @djjohnston46 She really is beautiful regardless of her heritage!

  • @jonbmd Thank you :)

  • @boomingkiller111 I know, Right?! lol

  • She is adorable. Let's face it, mastiffs are lap dogs regardless of whether they are scared.

  • @RelentlesslyHuge they are the sweetest....

  • congratulations, you've just encouraged a 60 kilo dog to seek lap help whenever he hears an explosion.

  • @FrankCleocuz You will be very happy to know....this was the one and only time she did this....

  • how cute is that?!?!!

  • @ChemicalMikeUK Thank you, she is adorably sweet.

  • ROFL!!! still a pup,

  • Awww this is so funny and sweet. Poor lady must have had problems breathing but it was a labour of love.

  • lol!

  • mommy! It`s so scawy!

  • awww poor mom, cute how she just wants to be protected by mom...

  • its cute when a small do is on ur lap but when a big dog does it it means more than the do just needing a warm place to sit

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Mine is sooo scared as well!!! I

  • haha he looks horrified!! thats funny

  • aww very cute. until the woman turned her head towards the camera all u could see were these tiny arms comforting a really big dog! lmao... shes very cute tho, makes me want a 150 lb lap dog lol.

  • Aw. Poor big doggie!. My shephard mix liked to pretend he was a lap dog just because.

  • what breed is the smaller dog ?

  • @musicismyaddiction32 he's a Cairn Terrier..

  • Oh, the big baby. So sweet.

  • OMFG THAT IS 8MONTHS?!

  • @SillyKitteh243 she's twice that size now!!! =0

  • @SillyKitteh243 her at 8 months in this video is like the same size of my 7yr old lab! and she's the runt of her little but still....... Wow! huge dog!

  • @SillyKitteh243 yep, bullmastiffs grown to bout 50-60kgs

  • Bella that's my 4 month old English Mastiff Name :D

  • Lawl, my Mastiff isnt scared of anything. Dont no why all dogs are like scared of lighting, but my doggy and she is 3 lol she is big mastiff bravey ;D

  • People should really stop telling other people how to raise their family pets. ...

  • @f91843 I agree. If my dog wants to climb on my lap because of noise, he can. They usually get over it.

All our dogs were frightened at first, and after a while it was OK.

  • @51Saffron Its stupid. My boxer is afraid of balloons-not really sure why- but that doesn't mean I'm encouraging him to be afraid of other things. I've seen him go all "guard dog" when he's not sure of a certain stranger, so I know for a fact he's not the sissy he makes himself out to be.

  • aw i want bullmastiff!!!

  • I love how the camera pans down to the smaller dog being oblivious to the fireworks,

  • @RelwarctheMighty yep, he's the brave one...hehehe!!!

  • Now that is crazy i'm glad my dog isn't a mastiff. My dog's a mini dachshund and she's about 9 pounds. She does the same thing only her whole body shakes about once every 15 seconds

  • @ballhog145 How sweet, Bella thinks she's the size of a dachshund.....

  • momma will protect me, caus i'm her baby.

  • don't console her when nervous

  • aww poor baby shes so big but shes still a pup, lol.

  • @ctswright a rather big pup :)

  • Comment removed

  • oh she is so sweet poor Bella she is scared because of fireworks if im there i will hug her tight and calming her like a baby

  • @22BeeHoney hard to resist

  • i love his ears and tongue !!

  • @xdustinpattonx they are very big :0

  • We let r dog watch r fireworks and I went and got a fire cracker to light it and my mom was hogging the flash light so I lit the card board wick not the green so it blew up in my hand and r dog was right there he ran under the bush and then ran inside he

Liked fireworks intill that poor dog btw cute video

  • @jordantdwp awww, too bad - poor thing...

  • I know everyone is going to hate me coz this video is very cute, however when a dog is scared of things like fireworks the absolute worse thing you can do is cuddle it and pamper it and generally do what you are doing. This way it re enforces to the dog that it is normal to be scared of these things. You should ignore it (i know it seems cruel) when there are loud noises e.t.c and over time it will not get itself worked up so much and eventually won't fear them. This has worked time and again.

  • @pennthebaker check out "You Can’t Reinforce Fear; Dogs and Thunderstorms" May 4th, 2009 on Patricia McConnells, a certified applied animal behaviorist and dog trainer, blog... THE OTHER END OF THE LEASH.

  • @lifeinspiredart Too true, by hugging and stroking her you are feeding her fear. Actually telling her it's good state of mind.

  • @Stitchthechi enough with that cesar garbage

  • @rctriplefresh5 You think that, not rewarding unwanted behaviour was invented by Cesar? LOL It’s a proven technique that’s been used for decades. Looooong before he was on the scene. Ask any professional animal handler. Cesar just got rich on it.(good for him) I wish I would of thought of marketing it 20 years ago when I started working with animals and was thought the technique by my boss whom had been using it for about 20 years prior to that.

  • omg. i had no idea they were that mushy. i love it.

  • WTF MY GOD LOVES Fireworks

  • its pretty funny to see how dogs get frightend by fireworks and then thinking about the last time my old dog saw fireworks she just looked straight at it, yawned and fell asleep again.

  • Looks more like an English Mastiff.

  • I have a french mastiff he does the same thing but he will only sit still with his paws on my shoulder. Its cute now because hes only 3 months but when he gets older its going to be a nightmare.

  • @wedontknow Bella tries to get on my lap now and she weighs 150 lbs. doesn't work so well....good luck :)

  • ive come to the conclusion, Bull Mastiffs are big ass wussies lol..... Mine do the same thing, my pomeranian started barking, and my mastiff jumps into my lap.

  • @nominating You just gotta love em :)

  • So cute!

  • So gorgeous!! xx

  • I am 99% sure that is an english mastiff. Not that it matters.

  • You are offering affection when it is in fear. You are nutruring the behavior this way.

  • i have a bullmastiff and she loves to sit on my lap all the time and then my legs turm knum

  • scooby dooby doo!

  • awwh the poor Bullmastiff is scared stiff ;(

  • Look into getting a Thundershirt. They are one of the BEST things out there for dogs who suffer from fireworks, thunderstorms, car rides, excessive barking etc. It's not meant to be worn all the time(once they get used to it it no longer works for what you want it to) but when used it applies a gentle all over body pressure that is calming, like swaddling a baby in a blanket. It works on about 90-95% of the pups it's used on.

  • @5150Moshpit I'll look into it thanks :)

  • Most dogs are scared of the nasty fireworks and so is our Bull Terrier who snuggles up against use when he's scared.

  • SO CUTE!! i want to get one of these dogs :)

  • Poor baby. I *despise* fireworks, especially around here when we get a "fireworks season" that extends from late September, when the wretched things go on sale in the supermarkets, all the way to New Years day and often beyond.

I used to know a beautiful German Shepard/(Rough Collie?) mix called Kramer. A huge, powerful animal, with a great big head and flowing lion-like mane, usually fearless but when the fireworks were going off in the garden he'd try to leap into my arms to hide.

  • My dog does the same thing, but only ever when you accidentally drive over the noisy caution/slow down grooves on the side of the high way. Something about the sound and vibration suddenly turns the 80+ lbs dog into a lapdog, as long as you aren't driving. She'll get down onto the floorboards and try to hide under the seat, otherwise.

  • They are watching LOST TAPES!!

  • Hahaha my 76kg great dane still wants to sit on my lap! But I think a mastiff is probably heavier.

  • @HadesAngel999 haha, love to see that!! She is heavier!
