Good, I like that you share this video, I wish success always The HTML5 Video tag, CSS3 Animations, and jQTouch are all beautiful things. Unfortunately, they look like crap when combined.
@t1mmy13 I'm using the Transmit FTP client from Panic. You can also use CyberDuck which is free, but sometimes buggy. Both apps integrate with TextMate.

the right arrows didn't show up for me. I had to disable line 399 in the themes/jqt/theme.css file
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0% 0%, 0% 100%, from(#1e1f21),
to(#272729));

what you're calling placeholder graphics are in fact (already) the movieplayer objects, which is the actual source of the problem.

@jonathanstark - sorry for being short:
real placeholder 'images' (png/jpg) wouldn't cause this problem.
what you see, are movieplayer-objects, that live in another (hw.acc.) compositing-layer. this is causing the odd display.
appearantly, the script already loads them before slide-in finishes.
the solution is to have real placeholder *images* that only get replaced only after slide-in finihses.
same for slide-out: first swap players w. images, then start animation. does that make any sense?
