  • LOL, this is Hilarious!!! Victor Borge was Awesome!:o))

  • first time i heard this guy i was 5 and still loved every second:-)

  • THE FUNNIEST 30 SECONDS IN MY WHOLE FRIGGIN' LIFE !!!

  • My mom and I haved toyed with the idea of learning the motions. 'Twould make a good semi-secret handshake.

  • @FlamingCockatiel That would be an incredibly impressive and funny thing to do, would one do it with any one but their mother.

  • 5:30 in the morning LOL

  • Poof poof poof!

  • I laughed like mad in his videos! Hes hilarious! pure genious!

  • genious

  • omg

  • i love thissss :)))))))))) hahahaaa

  • His V-I is inverted by the way. I tested it on a piano. Its a G Major 2nd inversion to a C Major 1st inversion.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is anyway.

  • and the left hand both notes are in root position

  • Coming from a music major: To clarify, it's called a Perfect Authentic Cadence (PAC). The difference being that both the V chord and the I are in root position. This type of cadence is used to end songs because it is the strongest cadence you can write.

  • AH I love people showing off on youtube. Its so riveting how they display their opinions like they actually know something when in actuallity you know they just researched it before they posted. HAHAHA. Halarious. Like me Im can illustrate some smart comment by using intelligent language and an advanced vocabulary. SOO FUNNY!

  • @MergGates1 yeah because when 100,000 people see something the chances are pretty low that someone will actually know anything about it.

  • he is a danish dude like me!

  • hahaah =D

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • PERFECT CADENCE V-I

    XD lulz for music

  • Or to be more precise Va7 - Ia.

The Perfect Cadence orginated in the Baroque period of music (c.1630 - c.1750). It was used by many composers of the time, but it was J.S. Bach who came up with the set of rules, functional harmony, and has been the basis for music down the centuries, yes it has been modified alot, and new ways of harmonising music have come into play.

  • HAHAHAHA Brilliant!

  • I can't help but feel I've heard the few notes he plays at the end before in some piece of music, does anyone know what it could be from?

  • I think it could be from the song "Shave and a Haircut".

  • "...early american folk song -- 5:30 in the morning". HAHAH

  • Victor Borge is a hero, he made everyone laugh with good, clean humor!! RIP Victor Borge

  • homerboy488 you obviously do NOT know how to appreciate something as wonderful as this, you're so stupid!!!!

victor borge is the greatest comedian who ever lived and the greatest pianist!!!!

  • You fellas should try a little comedy yourself.

  • Well obviously he tries to be funny, cause hes a comedian but hte point is its so natural and he combines a natural genius for music with brilliant comic timing.

  • Over a 30 year period I have seen Victor Borge Live in South Africa , London and here in Australia. As usual he brought the house down and got a standing ovation every time. The finest pianist/comedian of the 20th century. They sure dont make them like that anymore R.I.P Victor - you brought so much pleasure into millions of peoples lives

  • What a genius!

  • what i love about Victor Borge is that it doesn't seem like he tries to be funny, he is funny, all the time, and certainly the funniest

  • You've got to wonder about people who don't get true humor..

Love Victor Borge's humor, intelligence and musical genius!

  • most people dont understand because they dont take the time too understand. i was just like you at one point.

  • yes. he is funny , if you watch some more of his stuff. just because you are enough of a prick not to llike it, doesnt give you a right to inuslt the dead. fuck off...

  • Well, you take how modern comedians act, and people think they're funny.

This was only a short part of his act, I wish I could find the full one. It's a simple joke with a simple musical punchline, and within the whole act, is very funny.

  • LOVE THIS. this is most definitely some of the best of victor borge. hahahahahaha

  • fantastic

  • brilliant but I wish there was the punctuation sketch.

  • bahaha :P funny man

  • hes amazinggggg.

  • Love it!! :-))
