The large dog, I suppose the mother, has a beautiful smooth red coat. I have had three doxies and they all had smooth red coats. It is difficult to find red smooth dachshunds nowadays. However, your puppies are cute. Thank you for sharing.

@Gina3725 Thanks! The big dog is Bosworth, who's just a friend to the pups. I have had dachshunds my entire life and Bos has the softest coat I've ever felt. He's like a shammy.

mine looked like the black one when he was little. He's 1yr and 6mos now and he growls like your adult when I disturb him when he's sleeping. It's so funny. He's definitely got a personality.

My dachshund Just passed away today. They tried to operate, but he had severe lymphoma. There where 2 tumors, a 2 cm in the intestine and another up towards where the esophogus and the stomach meet. I miss him so much and I just cant believe it. He was a tan and silver dapple. R.I.P Lojac - March 29, 2005 - February 24, 2010
