Typical. This video is designed to educate people about a significant world changing event and we have people using it as an excuse to either down play slavery by stating that Africans were involved...so that makes it ok then?! That drive was so emotional to me. One moment I was enjoying the view of the beach and then suddenly, that castle of death was along the horizon. It was so surreal. The castle is not the best place to visit, they were already slaves when there, if they did, go to Nigeria and the former Oyo Empire, see where your ancestors LIVEd and were FREE. The castle was there because they took slaves from Oyo empiree, because Oyo would not LET them build a port for slaves on their coast. Ghana now re-writes history, their black ancestors were slavers, not victims!

You might want to do some more research yourself. The majority of the slaves went to South America. Most of the slaves were already slaves before the white man showed up to buy/trade them. And quite frankly (I'll even go all caps for you), SLAVERY IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL IN AFRICA. They're just keeping them in the area instead of going global. And you sure as hell can't blame white folks for that one.

True the Kings of ancient Africa's past did use other Africans as slaves but never was it as bad as by the hands of the Europeans of that time and lastly, of course slavery was and most likely still present in Africa since Apartheid wasn't abolished but for a short while ago. your last comment was very true

Africans suffering began even before the slave castles. Reliving the trek to Assin Manso, the dungeons at Cape Coast and Elmina where even children perished, the Governor's bedroom where women were raped. That is even before the slave ship and slavery, and Jim Crow. My visit to Ghana really brought this home for me.

The so-called Jewish Holocaust was nothing compared to what happened to Black people in the western hemisphere. The Ashkenazim Jews were the major slave holders, buyers, traders, auctioneers, owners of the plantations and ships. They perpetrated a holocaust on Black people and their own scholars, historians, museums and rabbis said so.
