nvidia geforce graphic card so it is not lagging on my pc run great

@SammyStoneify yeh you can run it but you might want to put it to 800x600 screen resolution and turn off all grtathics effect simply because the 8200 is not that good for gta iv but more its more smoother than this video

Dont make the graphics to high make them low and texture also make it 800X600 screen resolution. Hope this helped :D

@Hoogar33 Well seeing how it is... My PC runs it better 10 to 31 fps... But again I have a better video card. Try getting 1 more gb of ram and new video card you'll get a HUGE speed up with newer card xD

It's funny, because it will run smoothly whenever I'm not pressing anything. As soon as I even touch the W key, it freezes for a second, runs a bit, freezes, runs a bit, etc.

@trecool9992 i had the exact same problem. try and redefine your controls, map WSAD to the arrow keys instead. this fixed it for me. it's a bit annoying to play like that, but for the most part you'll avoid the lag.

GTA IV needs 1.5 GB of RAM, so I already know why you have lag;] So you need the XP, 1.5 GB of RAM, and I need 2.5 GB of RAM

I just bought it and it lags fiercely. I have 4 gigs corsair heat synced ram, dual Nvidia 9800 GT OC 1 gig graphics cards, AMD Dual Core processors each at 3.3 ghz and I lag so bad I gave up trying to play the game. Sad indeed. Anybody have any ideas what I can do?

Took me awhile but is should work: Go into control panel -> Device manager then into Human Interface Devices and disable some of them. DONT DISABLE YOUR KEY BOARD OR MOUSE! turn em back on after. it should work.

I have the exact same CPU, I have a Nvidia GEforce 8500GT, 3gb ram. If you want your game to run better theres a few ways. Theres the common buying way. Buy a better graphics card (i suggest nvidia 9800GT, definitly worth the money, and buy more ram.) And then theres the free way. You can find a few patchs that help lag, you can do that, Or you can turn the graphics options to lower settings and change the resolution. Hope this helps if you needed some =O
