I completely 100% believe in animal rights and that everyone should fight to stop animal cruelty.
I do not at all support PETA. They are the most hypocritical organization out there. PETA killed over 2000 of the animals they took in in 2010 alone and have killed over 20,000 in the past 10 years. There are so many shady things about them that just make my stomach turn.

he's right about the dissecting thing. i was forced to dissect a frog in high school and it was disgusting. my stomach turns just thinking back on that. and there are other ways to learn, use a fake frog with fake organs and shit. some colleges even use cats, goats, sheep, etc for dissecting. my aunt had to dissect a pregnant cat..
I think they should use fake, plastic animals with little fake organs so it's still a hands on activity that lets you memorize the anatomy of an animal without actually hurting any frogs, bunnies, mice, etc. :)
That's why a ton of schools now offer an alternative. Instead of dissection the students who refuse to have to research from diagrams and write a report instead. Which is still bullshit since they're doing a lot more work than the students who do dissect but it's better than forcing them to. When I was in highscool we had to dissect fetal pigs and they MADE everyone. There was no getting out of it without being suspended for 5 days and failed for that grade quarter. Shit's changed in 8 years.

;D Haha. Unfortunately people at my school ARE shitheads. We had to discect cow's lungs and torso. The people with "weak hearts" (or in my case, vegans...or vegetarians) were told to just sit at a table facing the other way. I could hear them cutting it. Ew. ._. And Mr Dudman cut out the heart and held it up and was like "LOOK" so we turned around and yeah all the girls at my table (o_O No boys for some reason :P) were like EW. and then these kids were squirting me with blood so i left. Hah.

the best thing anyone can do is stop eating meat and possibly animal products because if everyone continues paying for it at the grocery store or a restaurant, the meat industry will keep getting paid millions for this godawful torture.

ive been vegitarian all my life and i recently became vegan. last year we had to disect worms, my friend and i just walked out of the room, no matter how small an animal is its still important to the world, i learned good enough from the text book, i didnt have to rip apart an inocent worm to know how the organs worked, and who REALLY NEEDS to know what worms organs are like anyway?

in my stupid school this year we have to like disect worms and bugs and stuff and then next year someone said frogs. but even though they are worms or whatever im still NOT doing it because first of all is gross but secondly it is cruel. i honestly dont care if i get a bad grade if i stand up for something i dont think is right.

me too especially with chickens right when baby chicks are born they take all the boy chicks and literally throw them away they suffocate among their brothers not even knowing they are alive but people say they are the lucky ones because the ones who live have a miserable life ahead of them they are stuffed in metal cages having no room to move and go insane
