Although Jin's is the actual canon ending, Heihachi Mishima did in fact win Tekken 4 by defeating Kazuya. Kazuya even admits this in Tekken 6, hating how he lost to Heihachi in their last two encounters (Tekken 2 & 4).
And to clear things up, Jin couldn't have won Tekken 4 because he was knocked out and kidnapped right before he was scheduled to fight Kazuya.

Unfortunately since Tekken is Tournament there are rules that must be followed and as a direct result of Heihachi's Tekken Force jumping Jin he was disqualified and could not have possibly been the winner.
@RedQueeney Actually in tekken 3 Paul defeated ogre but ogre morphed into his true form but before that even happened Paul had already left because he taught he was victorious, thus living Jin fighting Ogre and getting owned by hehachi because heihachi is a cheating son of a bitch!

I assume the story goes kazuya is revived enters the tournament defeats Heihachi in a basic match to be taken to jin. Blows Heihachi away with devil powers gets defeated by jin then jin defeats Heihachi . Wish kazuya killed Heihachi before he fought jin cause i cant stand his old ass
