The way this solo and the rest of the band slowly and subtley and build up is so clever. You don't even realise you're in a solo before the first minute has passed. The bend note on 0:34 is a masterful touch.

I feel like i'm so talentless when I see/hear giants like this. What an achievement. Amazing music, invoking amazing feelings. I spent my days as a teenager listening to that Alchemy album on my walkman in the summer, whilst walking 4 miles home from work. just me and 4 miles of fields. I could have had a lift if i'd waited one hour, but having that time and listening to this was so much better. Listening to Telegraph road really suited the journey/walk.

I was just discussing this with my baby tonight .. there are some musicians you just know when you hear them. Carlos is like that, David Gilmour, certainly Kenny G w/ his saxophone. Mark Knoffler, is in that class of musician, a unique sound. So cool. This song is epic.
