At night when the japs are asleep, he will give food to those who are inside the prison.they would carry their co-soldiers to save them from Jap's deadly bayonetas. He survived the March and life in the Camp with the aid of young Filipinos who risked their lives to bring food, clean water and medicine to him at the Camp's perimeter at night. He weighed over 200 lbs before Bataan, but less than 90 lbs at liberation.

This film was in interesting twist of history. The facts speak for themselves for those interested enough to look at history. @thereathing100 [cont]americans generally justify the bombings as a necessity to end the war.the war was almost over.japan war machine went bust.us troops landed in okinawa.so why drop bombs just to make somone sign some surrender papers when they virtually dfeated.they could have waited little more put more pressure or even conventional war.but USA didnt want to waste its soldiers lives.American lives were more important than Japanese.they wished 2 test effect of atom bombs!

My dad saw one survivor he was asked to dig then eventually shot and buried but while he is still alive and when the Japs are gone away and rain dropped he manage to get out of the shallow graveyard... My grandfather's cattle and carabaos in Bais City, Negros, almost 80 heads, are relentlessly shot by Japs...

My father was so lucky because there are Japs that used to be their acquaintance in San Jose., Camarines Sur one of those official has a name Manuel who is spying the country a long time... and during war he was assigned to San Jose, Cam Sur and there is an official that has a surname of Agravante, a Jap soldier stole my father's bike was ordered by that officer to carry the bike he stole back to my father's house 1.5 Km distance

My grandfather, JUAN L. MONREAL, was a WORLD WAR II Veteran. He was a brave Filipino soldier. He survived the Death March at Bataan. He is now 95 years old. My grandfather is kinda weak already. He became the cook for the Japs because he knows how to cook but he never have forgotten his fellow soldiers who are in prison. He gives them food every night while the Japs are asleep. True hero..We will not forget his bravery and he will be a part of our country's history, forever...

My lolo was one of the soldiers who survived the DEATH MARCH. He volunteered as a cook to escape from Japs tortures. At night when the japs are asleep, he will give food to those who are inside the prison.they would carry their co-soldiers to save them from Jap's deadly bayonetas.
