Instead of e4 maybe c5 might be good, you could have advantage on Qside; The point about the Nh4 is very good, it seems the real trouble is that the N is stuck because going back to f3 loses the f4 pawn; finally, not sure if Rfb1 is necessary it seems to me you really need to defend the b3 pawn so that you can recapture on c4 with Nd2.
